through your website.  I looked at Cleveland.Revdex.com.org and could not find a way to send a response.I received your letter on December 20th, and read it Sunday evening the 21st.  After discussing the situation with employees who were there, I then contacted [redacted] Monday early afternoon.I was aware that she was unhappy with the extra time it took to have her dog [redacted] groomed on December 5th.  [redacted] is a large Golden Doodle that usually takes 3 1/2 to 4 hours of grooming time. [redacted] did have a lot of matting, and did take some extra time to complete, but we were almost an hour later than originally expected in getting him done. Normally we charge for extra brush out time and dematting, [redacted] also received a teethbrushing/conditioner package that he was not charged for either when checked out.  Mrs. [redacted] was extremely unhappy with the extra time involved, and may not have noticed that her grooming was discounted approximately $22. I was unaware that she was unhappy with the quality of the grooming work until reading the letter and speaking with her.During the conversation with [redacted], I apologized for the extra time involved.  We did have a newer employee working on her dog that day, and we did review procedures regarding completing assignments in a timely fashion, and when to ask for help if you are running behind.  When my wife (manager on duty that day) realized she was running late, she immediately put a second groomer to work on [redacted] and finished him as soon as was possible from that point. The groomer who was directly responsible for [redacted] that day later walked out, terminating her employment.I have refunded the $70 she has asked for, and mailed a check to her that evening.  I did further offer to re-groom her dog [redacted] at no charge for his next grooming, which he should be due for by the end of January. I also further offered to have his grooming services handled by my wife, who is a certified Master Pet Stylist with over 20 years of experience.I did not receive any of her previous communications to the store. She mentioned she had tried to email us through the store's website, I think through the "join our email list" [redacted], which goes to a separate email that I only go through semi-monthly. I have added a note to our website to contact us directly for an immediate response.  I have also reviewed phone message procedures with my employees regarding where phone messages are to be left, so that my wife or I may respond in a more timely fashion in the future.  I have been in my store 23 of the last 25 days, and should have received any message from her sooner. This is an incident that should have been handled much sooner by us, and I thank the Revdex.com for bringing it to our attention and offering us the opportunity to correct this with the customer.Sincerely,[redacted], ownerDiggitty Dogs Salon[redacted] cell, 440-582-7777 store
