Horrible misleading company. You think you are getting new screen put in your IPOD touch and it is only to tell you what you already know that you need a new screen. They wanted to charge 89.99 just for the glass screen on my iPod.The website is very misleading you think you are getting it repaired for $25 but your are not.Its just to tell you it needs new parts.I am now out $25 for a service I sins even get plus $7.00 to ship it to them only to be told if I want to even get it repaired the cost will START at $89.99. I feel totally ripped of!

Review: I sent in a generation 4 nano Ipod with a minor problem to DigiExpress for repair. DigiExpress confirmed the condition of the device. The repair cost escalated until it was $74.98--I agreed to this cost for repair. I was later informed that the device was ready to be returned to me and that it was working except for the minor problem that I had requested to have repaired. After I protested, I was informed that the new parts would be removed from the device and the device would be returned to me. The Ipod was returned to me in undamaged packaging and in pieces. At least one piece, a bezel, was missing. I contacted DigiExpress and they paid to have the device sent, once again, to them for repair. After this second attempt at repair, the device was returned to me barely together and not working. I contacted DegiExpress and was informed that my ipod was not repairable. Note the progression. We go from an item with a minor problem. To a repaired item that still has the original problem. And finally, to an item which does not work and can not be repaired. Obviously I am distress that I submitted a working item for service and ended up with an unrepairable item.Desired Settlement: I want to be restored to the condition I was in prior to sending my Ipod to DegiExpress. I had a functioning Gen4 Ipod Nano and I want, once again, to have a functioning Gen4 Ipod Nano.

Review: On September 25 I ordered via the internet a repair from Digiexpress on my iPod. I paid $32.95 via a credit card for this service. The next day I was packaging my iPod to ship it when I noticed it was functioning and did not need a repair. I notified Digiexpress of the change and asked for a refund. Digiexpress responded to my refund request stating that my order was cancelled and I could expect a refund within 30 days.On October 31 I emailed Digiexpress again requests my refund. Digiexpress responded saying my refund is delayed to a backlog in "that department". I don't know what that means.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my $32.95 back in full.

Review: My daughter wanted to have her ipod repaired. She learned enough to know what the problem was, and bought the proper parts. She found a service to do the repair. www.digiexpress.us She placed the order on-line, including a combined diagnostic and repair fee, and sent her ipod and the parts to them. Nowhere in the purchase process did it mention the terms and conditions. In particular there is an item in the T&C (which I found after the dispute occurred) that they will not repair an item with parts they did not provide. I went through the purchase process again (stating that I would pay with money order so I did not really need to pay the fee) and not once did I see anything referencing the Terms and Conditions or anything saying that they would not make the repairs unless they sold the parts. I called them. They would not refund the diagnostic fee (even though my daughter correctly told them what the problem is), they would not do the repair unless my daughter bought a part some them at 2.5 times the cost of the one she already bought and provided. I told them to ship the item home (my daughter had already paid shipping in the original fee).Order number: [redacted].Desired Settlement: Since DigiExpress was not clear that they would not install parts they did not provide I would like a refund of the diagnostic/repair fee.I would also suggest that they clarify the purchase process to make the particular T&C items clearer to potential customers.

Response:

We do not attempt to deceive or mislead any customers which is why our website lists our Policies, Terms & Conditions. We encourage our customers to review our full site before placing an order. With regards to outside parts, unfortunately, our policy prevents us from installing parts that are purchased from outside vendors. Since we warranty our repairs, we cannot use parts that have not passed our quality assurance. Additionally, if we install outside parts that are defective it might cause damage to the device's logic board or other peripheries, which could put us in a very difficult situation. For these reasons, and others, we have instituted a policy against the installation of outside parts.

Review: I have had my headphone jack on my ipod video replaced at least 5 times over the years. I know exactly what needs to be done and a good "ballpark figure" on how much it should cost. Digiexpress advertised that they charged $25.00 for diagnosis and repair. I even called them on 4-7-14 to confirm all the information which would aid me in making my decision to go with them. I stated in the note section that I do not need a diagnosis and that I just want them to replace the headphone jack. THAT'S IT!!! I paid the $25 with an additional $20 for 24hr express shipping and an additional $10 for a return shipping box. Also paid $2 for insurance. With tax it came to just over $60 for everything, I confirmed that this amount would cover everything over the phone BEFORE I made any purchase online! I received the shipping box within 36 hrs and sent the ipod back the very same day. I should've had my ipod back within 3 days, 4 days max, given that I had paid an additional $30 to have this matter handled in a timely matter. More than a week later (4-15-14), I receive an email from digiexpress statting that they're waiting for an additional $20 payment for the actual repair. So they want $80 total for a headphone jack replacement. The customer representative and the website LIED to me. They both told me the initial $60 payment would cover everything. Given that I posted in the notes that I know all I need is a headphone jack, there was no need for additional diagnosis. They agreed and I proceeded with my purchase, only to find that not only did they rip me off for the 24hr express service, but they want to rip me off for another $20, or they can just send me back my ipod without repairs, after I had already paid for everything. They're basically holding my ipod hostage until I can pay the $20 ransom. I spoke to the customer rep manager [redacted] and she claims to have no knowledge of my previous conversation with her company and is unwilling to compromise to clear this up. Told me I was at a "crossroads". UPSET!Desired Settlement: I want at least a refund of the ridiculous 24hr service fee ($20.00), and the $10.00 shipping fee that I paid in good faith. They flat out LIED on their website and to me over the phone, and then insulted me when they told me they could not corroborate my "story" because the customer rep I spoke to didn't write any notes when I called them before I had made my decision to go with them. I told [redacted] that of course they're going to say they whatever makes them look good. $30 and my ipod back.

Review: I was told by the company that my product could be fixed. They wanted to charge me again for a part I had already bought. Soon after the talk with customer service. To tell them I had bought the part already, shortly I received a email stating that my product can't be fixed. I think because I didn't pay the extra money they didn't want to repair my product. Someone was trying to pocket the money. And was upset when I didn't pay it. I have not received any refund for the parts I boughtDesired Settlement: I would like my refund in full. I would like to speak to the owner of this company if possible.

Review: I sent in my daughters Ipod for repair and/or replacement of cracked screen on 8/9/13 Based on ad on on internet page: http://www.digiexpress.us/apple_repair_services.htmlit reads that repair is $25.00. I was surprised when I received an additional bill for $69.98 but I paid the bill beacause I was afraid my daughters Ipod would be damaged. Payment sent on 9/5/13 after payment was made I emailed an called company several times. I have emails (if needed) Ipod was returned 10/11/13. After receiving Ipod my daughters noticed that all her music and pictures where gone and screen is not completely attached it is loose on one end. I emailed company and I was told Email received:I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your device after our repair. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with an error-free repair service, and so when these problems happen, we take them very seriously. According to our documentation, all services were working with your device before it was returned to you as part of our testing service that we complete after all repairs. However, considering that you are still experiencing problems, I would like to give you the opportunity to send your device to us for a re-evaluation to address the screen lifting. Please know that the technician noted that if the screen would lift a new backplate would be needed. The cost of this part is $19.99. This replacement backplate will allow us to ensure the proper fitment of the glass as well as a proper seal. If this is something you are interested in, please contact us and we will set up the order for you. With regards to the data being lost on the device. On 10/3 you spoke to Karli and gave permission to restore. This restores the device back to factory settings and all content would be lost. Did you by chance back up the data before sending the device in for repair. If so then it call can be re-loaded onto the device. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call DigiExpDesired Settlement: I would like to receive total cost of a brand new Ipod and reimbursement of expeneses incurred. Ipod was purchased from Best Buy as a gift for my daughter who is disabled and she was devastated when 100's of dollars of music were gone and treasured pictures were gone and Ipod is still not completely repaired Ipod was purchased 1/11/12 from Bestbuy and total was $275.11, Digiexpress $94.98. Total Refund 370.09 There was about $500.00 in music on Ipod that Digiexpress decided to delete

Review: I called digiexpress on 6/3/13 to ask about service for my ipod nano3 which fell out of my pocket while I was on a machine and got stuck between a lever and the seat. The ipod worked but the lcd screen was discolored on the left making it impossible to see the songs. I told them how it was damaged and that my goal was to save the playlists - ie the reason I did not send it back to apple was that they would replace it and the play lists would be lost. The person on the phone said the following1) they would look at my ipod in 3 to 5 days and I would have it back in 2 weeks2) they would be able to save my playlistsThe person on the phone DID NOT tell me that 1) if they touched my ipod it would void my apple warranty2) that it was possible that they would break a machine that was working when replacing the screenThinking that I would have my ipod back in two weeks with a screen I sent them an ipod that worked to replace the screenon 6/6 I got an email that said my device was ready for repairOn 6/19 I called to find out what was going on and was told they were "very busy" and that my ipod was way back in a line to be examined but that I could pay 15 bucks to have it looked at within 24 hours - I did - they tell me that they do not keep credit card #s so I have to give it to them again- this was on top of the original 46.99 paid on 6/3 when I was assured that my device would be examined in 3 to 5 days.On 6/20 I got an email saying my device had shipped but that they had replaced the back plate for 59.99. I called to find out why they had replaced the back plate and was told1) with this particular device the back plate is damaged when removed (despite the fact that they have a video on their web site showing how to safely and without damaging it remove the back plate from my specific ipod)2) that they had replace the click wheel (which worked when I sent it in) and the new click wheel doesn't work3) that even though it doesn't work I should be able to get my play lists on the computerSo I get back an ipod that does does not work, that does not show up the playlists on the computer and I do not get back my original back plateI carefully remove the new back plate and discover a loose screw in the internal workings of the ipod. I call to get my back plate back because I am not sure apple will take it in warranty with the new back plate - the woman never mentions that because they touched my ipod my apple warranty is void. She tells me a senior technician worked on the device and that sometime with soldering things happen. I am not aware of what is soldered when an lcd screen is replacedI get the back plate back and it is seriously trashed - clearly the senior technician who did the work never viewed the video on their web site showing how to remove the back plate from my specific device. I compare and measure the 2 back plates and the replacement one is wider than the original - so not only did they trash the original back plate they did something such that a wider back plate was needed to enclose the deviceThey ask for feedback and I send it both on line and via email. Never hear from them. I call apple (6/25) and they tell me the warranty is void and I should take up the issue with the company that ruined my ipod. They (apple) offer me 30% credit for a new ipod - unfortunately they do not make the model I want and need to use in the sun on a tractor (ie touch screen don't work in the sun). I call to speak to a manager at didgexpress - they aren't available. They will get back with me. They don't.I stop payment on my credit cardThe next day (6/26) I call digiexpress again to speak to a manager - a woman named [redacted] tells me she is a manager - I tell her how unhappy I am and why - she does the usual "I understand your frustration and am sorry you are unhappy" routine - she says that whoever I spoke with should have told me the apple warranty would be void if they touched my ipod - she will have conversations with the staff to make sure they do that in the future - I say that doesn't help me at all, that I sent in an ipod that worked but needed a new screen and they charge me to break a machine that works. I tell her that if I had been told they could/might break a working machine while replacing the screen I would not have sent it to them - she will have conversations with the staff to make sure they do that in the future - I say that doesn't help me at all, that I sent in an ipod that worked but needed a new screen and they charge me to break a machine that works. The conversation pretty much goes like that - she keeps "referring to the notes". I say that their communication was poor, service was poor and that basically on multiple occasions they - either by omission or commission - failed to communicate with me honestly and that professionals should provide professional service, they did not and I wanted my money back because they broke a machine that worked when they "fixed" the screen. She says she will talk to her manager. She leaves me a voicemail saying they will give me a "partial refund". Today I call during regular business hours to talk with a manager and say that is unacceptable - I am disconnected once with a computer voice that says "no one is available to take your call good bye" and another time I am just disconnected. Not only is their service poor and their communication woefully inadequate their website calls them "the ipod professionals" and that borders on fraud. I have tried to contact themDesired Settlement: Digiexpress broke a device that worked - their service is substandard, their communication is abysmal, their unwillingness to be honest is abhorrent, their failure to take responsibility is shameful - I want a full refund

Review: I payed the fee to look at my phone and call me to know what the total cost would be to fix my iPhone 5S on off button. They never called me. Three days after I dropped the phone off I drove to there store to pick it up. They told me the phone is fixed but now the mute switch is broken and can't be fixed there is no charge, call the complaint line there is nothing else we will do with the phone. I gave the phone to my daughter. The thumb scan was replaced and does not work, the charge port head phone jack, speaker and mute switch also are not working. I've spoke with every person in the company that I could, took the phone back. The thumb scan is not working and the mgt. told me their tec broke the phone and this is all they are willing to fix because only apple can reprogram the thumb scan. Apple will fix it for $268.00Desired Settlement: Replace the phone

Review: I sent in an iPod to be fixed because it would not charge. There was nothing else wrong with the iPod, I am sure of it. After a few days, I received an email that diagnostics had finished and the on/off headphone jack needed to be replaced as well as the battery. I emailed and inquired about this, because I am sure there was nothing wrong with the headphone jack when I sent it in. I assumed they were just trying to squeeze an extra $20 out of me, and I decided that paying an extra $20 was a better option than losing the $25 I had already paid. After about a month, my device was returned with the headphone jack damaged, as if they tried to pry open the iPod by sticking a screwdriver in the headphone jack and hacking away at it with a hammer. I contacted customer service and asked for a refund and reparations for the broken headphone jack. They responded by insisting I pay more money and send the device to them for further "diagnostics." I want nothing to do with this company. I do not want them laying even one finger on my iPod. Judging by the complaints on this site, I am not alone and this is not the first time they have engaged in deceiving and overall poor business practices.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the amount I paid for the on/off headphone jack. In addition, I would like reparations so I can take my iPod to a proper business for fixing.

Review: reading their website I signed up and paid $25 for Diagnosis and repair of an I Pod. I did this for 2 I Pods. it took over 2 weeks to hear from them and when I did they then said I need to pay another 49.95 USD to fix it. I called to ask why and that the web site is misleading.. I thought I paid in full when I paid the $25. they claim to have bette prices but when you go the mall it will cost $65 for the same repair and will be done in about three days. when I called to try and understand the $49 bill I then said that their website is misleading. most people do not read any website completely when ( AS in all the various pages it may have) I just went into repairs and started from there. my screen was only cracked and had no other repairs needed. the people on the phone only kept apologizing and never ever tried to lower a price or rush my order for repairs. I feel that they are not clear in order to get more money out of you. they are not cheaper that several places I compared- place at the mall and other small shops that did repairs. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Even when I suggested they add that the 25$ is ONLY for Diagnosis and NOT the actual repair they ignored my suggestionsDesired Settlement: would like to see my diagnosis fee returned! they were misleading that it does not go to the actual repair....

Response:

I apologize that you were not aware of all costs before placing your order. We make every attempt to educate our customers of our services before their device is received. For instance, we have a special portion of our website called "How Much Will It Cost?" that is linked directly on the home page of our website! There is also a portion titled "About Our Repair Service" that clearly states the $25.00 Diagnosis / Repair Service fee includes the diagnostic service, and labor to complete the repair. You can locate this information by hovering over "Repair Services" from any page of our website, and choosing the first option - "About Our Service". I have attached screen shots of the home page, the about page, and the pricing page to this email.

Review: I paid $ 25 for the "diagnostic and repair" service for an I-pod. After the diagnosis, they determined that I needed to pay an extra $ 19.98 for parts; after I paid the extra $19.98 they told me that my I-pod could not be repaired, and I would be refunded the $20 for the parts within a month. After two months passed and not receiving the refund, I emailed their customer service department and they just completely ignored my email. The whole process of diagnosis and repair took 16 days, from April 10th 2013 to April 26 2013, clearly not the 3 to 5 business days" they promise on the website. So to sum up, I was expecting my I-pod to be repaired in 5 business days for $25 plus eventually some extra for parts. Instead, I paid $45 to wait 16 days for them to tell me that they could just do nothing with my I-pod. A total disaster.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded at least for the $19.98 for parts that I paid on April 22nd , since the I-pod was not repaired. I placed an order to have a video I-pod repaired with using their on-line application. I told them it was the connection/charge port and if the i-pod was moved while connected it would drop connection and then reconnect. I received and e-mail they received it and another a week later it was on it's way back. Took it out of the box and tried to turn it on and the battery had no charge. After plugging it in it connected and lost connection just as it had before it went out my door. I called and talked with a rep and after he reading the notes I was told that can't repair that issue with a video I-pod as that is past of the main board. He apologized and said he was sorry and agreed there were no notes where they communicated it to me without me calling them. It's not so much they could not fix it in the first place it's the 3 weeks they had it and not a word until I called them.

Review: In December 2013 they had a sale for half off to fix an ipod screen. I read it 3 times when they advertised it and it was $25 plus shipping to send it to PA and have it fixed and sent back. I paid $10 for shipping with tax it was $38 which would have been cheaper than the $50 they told me at a local place. So, I sent it to them and was suppose to be looked at within 24-48 hours. It took longer than that but they emailed me saying it would be another $50 to have the screen fixed or they could just send it back broken! Imagine my surprise!! It's not even a choice, I had to pay it because either way I would have to take it somewhere local and pay another $50 since they were not clear with their "sale" The person I was emailing with [redacted] was not very nice or understanding and didn't care, she just kept saying I can pay the $50 or have them send it back. So, I paid and waited over a month to get the ipod back into my hands!Desired Settlement: I want a refund for at least the $50 I paid and was not expecting to pay. It wasn't worth $88!!!

Review: I sent my ipod touch into be fixed(cracked screen), and was told that the charge port was corroded and the unit could not be worked on because it would not charge. As soon as I received my ipod touch back from digi express, I plugged it in and charged it right up, I have proof of that as we took pictures as it was charging. If you would like me to send the pics of the charging process, I can do that. Just cant believe I was stupid enough to send in my unit for $30 just to have them send it right back to me and not do one thing to it. They state that they did a diagnosis on it which is their cop out. The unit works just fine with the cracked screen, there is nothing wrong with the ipod at all except for the cracked screen. We have pictures showing the unit operational after receiving it back. Now since I sent my unit in, which was about a month ago, they have redone their front page to their website to make it clearer of their charges. Originally it stated, that they would fix your screen for $25, didn't state any other charge. Here is a copy and paste from their website originally:As you can see from below, they are advertising that they only charge $25 for diagnosis and repair of cracked glass which is what I have. Diagnosis and Repair ServiceOnly $25 Cracked GlassNo WIFI SignalWon't ChargeSad AppleDark Spot on LCDPoor Battery LifeNo Sound& Much, Much MoreI have read some reviews from others on here and see that I am not the first person to get taken by them. I paid $30.53 for no service whatsoever. I am willing to pay the $5.53 that I got charged for shipping but feel that they just stole my $25 for doing absolutely nothing. Furthermore, I sent in the ipod with little to no life on the battery. Not sure how they ran a diagnosis with a dead battery. I have picture proof that when we got the ipod back, that it charged right up in a couple hours and worked. Please lmk where I can send those pics to. ThanksHopefully, no one else has to get taken like I was.Desired Settlement: Would like my $25 back in my paypal account. I am willing to pay the $5.53 shipping.

Review: I placed an order with "Digi Express" on August 2nd for a repair to my 32gb generation 2 ipod. This unit was in PERFECT running order except for one problem...IT DIDN"T KEEP A CHARGE. That's it nothing else just this. I mailed it on August 9th through the USPS. On August 2nd 2013 the customer placed a new order for repair and diagnosis with DigiExpress. In the order the customer is asked to specify what kind of device he will be sending in for repair. In the answers provided by the customer specified he was sending in an Apple brand iPod Touch 4th Generation. The color of the device was black and he noted that the available memory was 8GBs. He also noted that a pass code was no required to enter the device. In addition to this production description he noted that he was sending this device into us because “The battery dies within an hour…PLEASE REPLACE”.

Review: I took my niece's IPod to the Westmoreland Mall kiosk, because the screen was lifting and needed resealed. One of the managers waited on me. He explained to me the procedure they followed to ensure that it worked before they would fix it, which it did. He said they turned it on, made sure it charged, connected to WIFi, etc.. He said that there was a problem, or required anything else, then they would call me. I got an email saying it was done and went to pick it up. When I got there, another guy waited on me and told me it was broke and couldn't be fixed. There was glue all over it. I asked him what happened. He said he wasn't the one that worked on it, but the prongs were bent. I said that they weren't bent before and it worked when I brought it here. I told him the other guy said they wouldn't even touch it if it didn't work, and said that he would call me if there was a problem. I got an email saying it was done. He told me again the steps they go through to make sure it works before they will even touch it, but said the guy who worked on it didn't put any notes in the system, so he couldn't tell me what happened. He gave me a number to call and leave a message about it.I went home, called the number and left a message. The following day I hadn't heard anything, so I called the Tarrentum number and spoke with customer service. She once again went through the procedure they follow to make sure it works before they'll touch it, but said there were no notes in the system. She told me a manager would call me.A manager [redacted] called. I went through it all again. She told me their procedure again and said it must have worked, but they didn't break it. I told her it made no sense and I asked her to send me their procedure. She told me no and was rude. I told her I wanted the IPod fixed or replaced. She said no and refused to send me their procedure in writing. Not only did they break it, but I had already paid them to fix it. It worked when they got it.Desired Settlement: I want the IPod fixed or replaced.

Review: Brought my daughter's cell phone, an iPhone 6, to Digi Express to replace a cracked screen, the phone functioned perfectly. Digi Express tested the phone upon arrival and the verified the phone functioned properly. Digi Express then replaced the screen and tested the phone per their procedures, the phone no longer functions. Doesn't turn on, nothing. After 6 days of discussion and chasing for a resolution Digi Express offered $125.00 as a replacement cost. An iPhone 6 can not be replaced with $125. I have only been seeking a fair resolution, the replacement of the cell phone.Desired Settlement: As per Digi Express - Terms and Conditions of Service - "...if accidental damage should occur while in our care we will compensate you for the fair market value of the device.."

I would like Digi Express to replace my daughter's cell phone.
