Digirolamo Development Reviews (%countItem)

We have mold growing in our home and contractor refuses to answer or fix it. Also have problems with our driveway chipping away.
We first bought our home on 10/29/18 and before the walk through, we pointed out that there were mold growing on the walls. So he said he would fix it. Either they just painted over or washed it off. Well couple months later, we started getting headaches and eyes were very red. We saw the mold start to accumulate again and discovered mold on walls, attic, and air vent ways. We tried calling him but has put us off time and time again. We also had concrete peeling on our driveway shortly after we bought the home. It has been a hassle trying to communicate with him as we are deaf. We hired an ac man to come look at our mold problem, and he pointed our numerous errors that is wrong with the work in the attic done by this contractor.

Desired Outcome

We would like for Matthews buisness to repair our mold problem in which we have proof that we pointed it out before our walk through. He said he would take care of it and the bad patch work on our driveway. We have been fighting with him since day 1 of our new home. We just need help on resolving this issue.

Digirolamo Development Response • Apr 14, 2020

To whom this may concern, I am responding to the complaint filed against me by Mrs.. My first reply to the beginning is there was some mold in the plenum of the HVAC system and the HVAC contractor came out and did his part to fix the issue and installed a UV light to solve any future issues. After that the homeowners stated there floors were dirty and were un happy about that and our explanation was it may take a little bit of time for the dust to settle from the work we did. All inspections were completed with Livingston Parish Permit office during construction and everything was done up to all codes. As far as the concrete issue there were some cosmetic issues that they did not like on the driveway which I had someone come out and work on. We had the concrete supplier also come out and check on everything and look back at their books to make sure everything was good on their end. We completed all punch list items prior to closing and also have gone back to take care of other items. We have gone over and beyond to take care of everything. Some of the request they have made are unrealistic like tearing out and replacing the entire driveway for cosmetic issues.

Customer Response • Apr 15, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No we don't. The air still smells like mildew and it's still producing mold on walls. We got 2 different professional opinions on the mold issue. Both of them state that the air duct in the attic are lying on the floor and they dont even know how this possibly passed inspection. Also both of them state that the ac system may be to big for the house which is producing wet air causing mold. The driveway should of been done correctly in the first place, their are holes and leaf marking all over the driveway. Having them replace the driveway isnt a unrealistic request.
