We are an auction house in business since with no such previous complaints We signed our standard consignment agreement with [redacted] who we have done business with for many years Our auction was held June **, and his piece the Ken Norton Fight Worn Gloves sold for $38011.20However our buyer did not pay after repeated phone calls, letters and urging We even offered a payment plan but to no availThe piece remained in our possession the entire time and we remained in constant contact with [redacted] who asked us to continue to try to obtain paymentOur contract clearly states and is standard practice in the auction business that if the buyer does not pay we do not have to pay Clients not paying is uncommon but it happens to all of usWe did offer to either send the item back to [redacted] or relist the item in our next auction, but he wanted to wait on paymentApproximately two months after the sale [redacted] ***s father and old and good client informed of his son's medical condition he was understandably upset so we looked to remedy things as best we could We paid [redacted] a $10,cash advance to tide him over and the unpaid piece will be resold in our next auction in October 2017He will receive the difference in the final selling price The other piece was returned to him at our expenseWe look forward to continuing to do business with [redacted] and his family
