I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

4/28/Digital One installed a "new" hard drive this installation cost
me $One month later the computer crashes .I paid $to
have it repairedIf the hard drive was new as MrLindy claims then why
less than a month later May, why did it crash? On The HP computer did NOT ONLY cost me $I had just paid $a month before for what I thought was a new hard drive, then $a month later to repair the new hard drive failThen $The actual total is $This is certainly not a discountIt was MrLindy who told me that it would be more cost effective for me to trade my Acer in on a refurbished computerKnowing nothing about computers I unfortunately took his advice and traded in my Acer for a refurbished HP I wrote: I traded in the Acer for a new refurbished

Adobe, and antivirus software. MY RESPONSE: 4.) MrLindy refused to refund my money and would not give me the Acer back when the HP crash days after I bought it....He told me all sales were final...I was stuckWhen I traded in the Acer Mr Lindy told me how reliable HP's wereHe told me that it was a 20010-computer totally refurbished back to industry standards in fact he said it was "back to ISO" and I had to ask him what that meantHe told me that it was back to factory standardsI asked if it had windows and office and he said "yes it had windows professional like the Acer." I discovered that the hard drive had not been cleaned it still had information on it from someone in *** **I also discovered it was not 2010-but actually obsolete HPI
discovered this when I finally had to buy a service contract for tech
support from HP 12/$up front costs and $a month in order
to find out why I was having all the problems I was having with this
computerHP Tech Support on 12/23/was contacted for remote support
because I had lost sound and wifi and had to plug into to my box to get
the internetHP Tech Support worked with me for over hours on
Christmas Eve. They told me that the serial number on the back of the
computer didn't belong to my computer but another oneThey ran
virus checks there were no viruses My virus protection that I had
purchased was in working orderand tried to take it back to factory
standard settings and discovered that the compartment in the operating
system root directory had been removed by the last company that had my
computer, that was Digital OneDigital One had removed the compartment
making it impossible for me or HP Tech Support repair it back to factory
settingsHP Tech Support also told me that my computer was a and
they no longer made parts for a computer this oldI was upset because I
had paid Digital One $on [11/after it had crashed, for a new
motherboard that they were suppose to be ordering and had not gotten in

He certainly didn't give me a day warranty and would not give me a
refundAt this point 6/I was out $centsI had to have a
computer because I am a senior and disabled unable to driveThe
computer is my ONLY link to the outside world all my business is done via computer and he knew this.MrLindys response*In response to "Office",
We specifically state "Our trusted version called Kingsoft
office, comparable to Microsoft OfficeWe never sell Windows version of
office to customers.MY RESPONSE5.) I was told by MrLindy that the HP had everything on it that the Acer had including Windows Office it did not.I wrote:9/crashed, 10/4/repair
$10/crashed said it was battery and charger Mr.Lindy response:*In response to "10/crashed", The
laptop in question was used so much both the battery and charger were
completely dead and had to be replaced in order for it to cut on.MY RESPONSE:I had just had the HP computer in for more repair on 9/14, 10/4/repair cost was
$days later 10/14/it crashed again and the cost for that was $163.00
I questioned the amount of money that it was costing to keep this
computer going and I was told that this was computers were
expensive to keep up.I questioned why every time I brought it in for
repair that a month or weeks later I would have to get something else
fixed on itI questioned this on more than one occasionIt didn't seem
right that I was having to put out all this moneyIt didn't make
senseBut I was really stuck because I had been paying on the work as I
could and that was the only reason I kept going back to themI could
not afford large chucks of money at one timeI am on disability making
less than $a monthThis was a bottomless pit. This is the most ludicrous statement I think I have heard yetI quote MrLindy "The laptop was USED SO MUCH BOTH THE BATTERY AND CHARGER WERE COMPLETELY DEAD" I had had these very issues days after I got the HP in June I was given a charger but the battery still had issues
I certainly didn't drive it to death in two daysIn June MrLindy
refused to reimburse refund or give me my trade in Acer backNow the
same problem surfaces againI have no gaming at all on the computer
never hadI only use the laptop for email and business or Facebook to
keep in touch with my children, grandchildren and friendsI do not spend all
day and night on the computerI know most computers can stand up to
years and years of this kind of minimal use and should be able to take a
whole lot moreI have never had problems with any of my other
computers in this regardWhy would minimal use cause the battery and
charger xto fail? This is a computer that was suppose to be in tiptop running order back to ISO and an HPI live alone with my dog she is not allowed on the computer, I am the only one using itMrLindy response to this is very odd and unacceptable except that it tells me he is aware that his refurbished computers can NOT hold up to less than wear and tearI wrote: 11/3/$
11/crashed said it was the mother board charged up front $66.00.MrLindy's response:*In
response to Hp crash is was after our day warranty, but we still
replaced the motherboard on it and the only charge was shipping, no
labor to replaceMY RESPONSEI was told that I had to pay up front
$for a new mother board because I had no sound later I had no
wifi and that to fix this I needed a new motherboardI was told it was
on order and would be in with in the week I left the laptop there saying
that I really need it because of business and the holidaysI was give
the excuses when I called that, it was shipped, they were on the phone
with the distributor and it was shipped, would arrive in a week, then oh
it came in but another lady needed it for her computer so another one
was ordered, the softwear didn't come in? Mother board came in and was
the wrong one...I took the computer back after Thanksgiving 12/
because they didn't know when the mother board would be in hopefully
with in the week and they would need to keep the computer for at least
days to fix itThat didn't make senseI was told that it was held up
because of the holidays then the snow and *** could not get outI
contacted HP Tech Support (SEE ABOVE NOTE 12/23/14) HP told me I had
been ripped off after spending hours with me Christmas Eve in an
attempt to fix any and all problemsI went to HP because I thought I
had an HP computer I the intention of asking Digital One to reimburse my
$dollars and never going to Digital One ever again. On 1/I
called and asked about the motherboard I was told they were just talking
to the distributor in MA and it should be in with in the weekI then
said I wanted my money back and *** told me she would have to talk to
MrLindy about thatI was able to get a ride with a friend and we
went to Digital One to get back the $I had paid them for the now none existent motherboard.
Mr Lindy keep us waiting for about minutes then call us back in to
his officeMy friend was with meI asked him to refund my $which
I had paid them in NovemberMrLindy refused to refund the moneyHe
told me it was NOT his fault the distributor could not get the part and I
was out of luckHe said he didn't owe me a $refundI told him that was outright stealing and he told me it wasn't his problemHe became aggressive insulting and demeaning
My friend was with me and witnessed the whole conversationMrLindy
said it wasn't his fault that the mother board came in but it was used
on another computer because I didn't have my computer in the shop at
the timeThen he changed that a little further in the conversation and
said that it wasn't his fault that they sent the wrong itemHe told me
he was a business man and he couldn't just give away $I told him
again that it was not his $it was mine and I had put it down in
good faith expecting that my computer would be fixed and I never
received what I had paid for. Finally he said that he would not refund
the money but that he would give me store creditI refuse saying he had
nothing that I wanted except my money backThen he said that he would contact the distributor and get the motherboard in but I had to leave my computer
I brought my computer in and left it in good faith that the compromise
would work and I would never have to see them again after I got the
promised motherboardThis was on 1/15/it is now 3/19/no
motherboard in sight and now I do not have my computerOn 2/24/after
a bunch of very lame excuses I went to Digital One to retrieve my
computer fixed or notI was told that they could not give me my
computer it had been taken apartI asked why and was told that because
they were doing some work on itI told them I wanted my computer back
and all of my information and they refused to return my computer or the

response to "Loaner 2/2nd loaner ntwk", Loaner was tested by Office
Manager, worked fine, and Ms.***'s email was still logged in at the
time of returnMY RESPONSE:9.)
The reason my email was still logged in is because when I started to
email a Warning appeared saying that the computer didn't have a legal
copy of Windows running and then it shut down and would not turn back
on.MrLindy's Response:*In response to "Loaner 2/ntwk
returned", Loaner was tested by a certified technicianOnly problem
found was sound wasn't playingThis was only until the replacement
board came inMY RESPONSE: What good is a computer that has no soundBoth computers were for sale and were on the sale display they intended to sell it with out sound and with an illegal copy of WindowsIf they didn't intend to do this and were honest I would have been told up front that it had no sound and an illegal copy of Windows.I wrote:I contacted the Revdex.comon

that the motherboard was in but it still had no sound and it won't hook up to the internet and that I
had it chocked full of viruses so far down into the root director they
were having to do all this work to get it to workI told her that I had
virus protection and root protection on the computer so I doubted it
had any viruses I did tell her that HP Tech Support had checked it out and didn't find any virusesI received communication from Revdex.com with MrLindy's responses to my complaintMrLindy responded:The motherboard on the Hp is being replaced today, it
will be tested by our senior technician, and Ms*** will be called
and emailed todayI have authorized my staff that when she comes to
pick it up that she will not leave here until she has 100% tested the Hp
for any problems that she might have with it, and is not allowed to
leave with it until she has tested everything and is happy with it.My response:I
was not called nor have I received any email from Digital One except
what I have posted aboveThere is no senior technician from what I have
been told and he has had a great turn over*** is the only one who
has been there this whole year and she has less than a year fixing computers. I take this response from MrLindy as a direct threatEspecially in light his behaviour during our meeting on 1/I quote "
I have authorized my staff that when she comes to
pick it up that she will not leave here until she has 100% tested the Hp
for any problems that she might have with it, and is not allowed to
leave with it until she has tested everything and is happy with it." He
has authorized his staff that when I come to pick up MY computer that I
will NOT LEAVE until I have tested the HP100% and that I am NOT ALLOWED
TO LEAVE Then in following response... MrLindy writes: *Update,
board had been replaced, but Mrs*** has put a virus on the laptop
and wont get onlineand we will have to erase and reinstall
windows....which we will again be doing at NO CHARGE to the user to make
the customer happyShe will still be testing it still before it is
allowed to leave here.He continues to threaten. He is saying that I
HAVE purposely PUT a virus on the computer so it will not get on line
All of a sudden he realizes that it won't get on line when this was one
of the issues I was having with it and I had HP Tech Support remotely
check it out while I was plug directly in to my modem and they found no
virus12/and they have had the computer in their shop this whole
timeIf this isn't enough at the beginning of this whole conversation
MrLindy wrote in his own words claim that when refurbishing computers they
put antivirus protection on it so if they had done so theoretically
there should not be a problem with MY computerI have purchased and
installed my own virus protection for malware and root directoryHe
complains they have to do extra work and
out of the goodness of his heart he is not going to charge meThen IF I
am not happy with what they have done he will NOT ALLOW ME TO LEAVE with MY computer and MY Computer is NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE
unless I test itI do not like being threatened in anywayThis is a
threatHe has no right over my personal property nor does he have any
right to say what I will and will not do and if I don't do what he says he has authorized his staff to STOP ME FROM TAKING MY COMPUTERHe has no right to accuse me
of sabotaging my own personal computer at his expenseI AM THE CUSTOMER.I do not want anything more to do with him other than getting my information back and a brand new computer and printer as specified, and shipped directly from HP to meOr he can refund all of the money I have spent over the past yearIf he refuses those options, I will gladly take him in court

I am very sure that if there had been a sign on the wall it would have been noticed by me or any of my friends.Mr. Lindy's response:*In

response to "new printer installed on computer", our records state we

only sold her the printer, install was not included because that was an

extra charge Ms.[redacted] didn't want to pay. The printer was tested by a

certified technician and was working perfectly before it left our

office.MY RESPONSE:2.)The

printer was suppose to be installed and that was what I paid for. It

was not installed. The printer had NOT been tested by any certified

technician nor had it been checked to see if it was in working order. It had never left the shipping box. I know this for a fact because a friend and I took the printer out of the sealed box it came in. The printer was in sealed plastic wrap and so were the parts. The packing slip was still one the top of the sealed plastic bag. I am fairly certain that Mr. Lindy doesn't heat seal plastic bags. I paid $89.99 for a printer that was not installed never worked properly and had only cost $59.99.I wrote: Acer failed again in May and took it in was not

happy as I had just installed a new hard drive or so I thought. The

repair was $104.60 on 6/4/14. I was then told by Mr. Lindy that it would

be more cost effective if I traded in the Acer for a new refurbished

computer, he had several to choose from.*In response to "Acer failed again in May", all

hard drive replacements are brand new, not used/refurbished. In response

to the failure we gave her a discount and trade in buyback on another

computer. The Hp she ended up getting only cost her $199.00 MY RESPONSE:3.) On

4/28/14 Digital One installed a "new" hard drive this installation cost

me $293.76. One month later the computer crashes .I paid $104.60 to

have it repaired. If the hard drive was new as Mr. Lindy claims then why

less than a month later May, why did it crash? On The HP computer 9700 did NOT ONLY cost me $199.00. I had just paid $293.76 a month before for what I thought was a new hard drive, then $104.60 a month later to repair the new hard drive fail. Then $199.00. The actual total is $597.36. This is certainly not a discount. It was Mr. Lindy who told me that it would be more cost effective for me to trade my Acer in on a refurbished computer. Knowing nothing about computers I unfortunately took his advice and traded in my Acer for a refurbished HP 9700. I wrote: I traded in the Acer for a new refurbished

computer, he had several to choose from. I chose the HP Pavillion

later problems not booting batter charger discovered it did not have

Windows Office but generic. I wanted a refund and my Acer back. I was

told all sales are final no return.Mr. Lindy's response:In

response to "Refurbished back to factory standards", We delete, clear,

and clean all refurbished computers and install only basic updates,

Adobe, and antivirus software. MY RESPONSE: 4.) Mr. Lindy refused to refund my money and would not give me the Acer back when the HP crash 2 days after I bought it....He told me all sales were final...I was stuck. When I traded in the Acer Mr Lindy told me how reliable HP's were. He told me that it was a 20010-2011 computer totally refurbished back to industry standards in fact he said it was "back to ISO" and I had to ask him what that meant. He told me that it was back to factory standards. I asked if it had windows and office and he said "yes it had windows 7 professional like the Acer." I discovered that the hard drive had not been cleaned it still had information on it from someone in [redacted]. I also discovered it was not 2010-2011 but actually 2006 obsolete HP. I

discovered this when I finally had to buy a service contract for tech

support from HP 12/14 $49.99 up front costs and $14.99 a month in order

to find out why I was having all the problems I was having with this

computer. HP Tech Support on 12/23/14 was contacted for remote support

because I had lost sound and wifi and had to plug into to my box to get

the internet. HP Tech Support worked with me for over 5 hours on

Christmas Eve. They told me that the serial number on the back of the

computer didn't belong to my 9700 computer but another one. They ran

virus checks there were no viruses My virus protection that I had

purchased was in working order. and tried to take it back to factory

standard settings and discovered that the compartment in the operating

system root directory had been removed by the last company that had my

computer, that was Digital One. Digital One had removed the compartment

making it impossible for me or HP Tech Support repair it back to factory

settings. HP Tech Support also told me that my computer was a 2006 and

they no longer made parts for a computer this old. I was upset because I

had paid Digital One $66.00 on [11/14 after it had crashed, for a new

motherboard that they were suppose to be ordering and had not gotten in.

yet when I asked for a refund and my Acer back, after having it for

only 2 days and it crashed I was told that all sale were final no

refunds. I was stuck with another problem computer that didn't have a working battery and charger.

He certainly didn't give me a 100 day warranty and would not give me a

refund. At this point 6/14 I was out $597.36 cents. I had to have a

computer because I am a senior and disabled unable to drive. The

computer is my ONLY link to the outside world all my business is done via computer and he knew this.Mr. Lindys response*In response to "Office",

We specifically state "Our trusted version called Kingsoft

office, comparable to Microsoft Office. We never sell Windows version of

office to customers.MY RESPONSE5.) I was told by Mr. Lindy that the HP had everything on it that the Acer had including Windows Office it did not.I wrote:9/14 crashed, 10/4/14 repair

$115.83. 10/14 crashed said it was battery and charger Mr.Lindy response:*In response to "10/14 crashed", The

laptop in question was used so much both the battery and charger were

completely dead and had to be replaced in order for it to cut on.MY RESPONSE:I had just had the HP computer in for more repair on 9/14, 10/4/14 repair cost was

$115.83 10 days later 10/14/14 it crashed again and the cost for that was $163.00

I questioned the amount of money that it was costing to keep this

computer going and I was told that this was normal computers were

expensive to keep up.I questioned why every time I brought it in for

repair that a month or weeks later I would have to get something else

fixed on it. I questioned this on more than one occasion. It didn't seem

right that I was having to put out all this money. It didn't make

sense. But I was really stuck because I had been paying on the work as I

could and that was the only reason I kept going back to them. I could

not afford large chucks of money at one time. I am on disability making

less than $750.00 a month. This was a bottomless pit. This is the most ludicrous statement I think I have heard yet. I quote Mr. Lindy "The laptop was USED SO MUCH BOTH THE BATTERY AND CHARGER WERE COMPLETELY DEAD" I had had these very issues 2 days after I got the HP in June 2014. I was given a charger but the battery still had issues .

I certainly didn't drive it to death in two days. In June Mr. Lindy

refused to reimburse refund or give me my trade in Acer back. Now the

same problem surfaces again. I have no gaming at all on the computer

never had. I only use the laptop for email and business or Facebook to

keep in touch with my children, grandchildren and friends. I do not spend all

day and night on the computer. I know most computers can stand up to

years and years of this kind of minimal use and should be able to take a

whole lot more. I have never had problems with any of my other

computers in this regard. Why would minimal use cause the battery and

charger x2 to fail? This is a computer that was suppose to be in tiptop running order back to ISO and an HP. I live alone with my dog she is not allowed on the computer, I am the only one using it. Mr. Lindy response to this is very odd and unacceptable except that it tells me he is aware that his refurbished computers can NOT hold up to less than normal wear and tear. I wrote: 11/3/14 $163.00.

11/14 crashed said it was the mother board charged up front $66.00.Mr. Lindy's response:*In

response to Hp crash is was after our 100 day warranty, but we still

replaced the motherboard on it and the only charge was shipping, no

labor to replace. MY RESPONSEI was told that I had to pay up front

$66.00 for a new mother board because I had no sound later I had no

wifi and that to fix this I needed a new motherboard. I was told it was

on order and would be in with in the week I left the laptop there saying

that I really need it because of business and the holidays. I was give

the excuses when I called that, it was shipped, they were on the phone

with the distributor and it was shipped, would arrive in a week, then oh

it came in but another lady needed it for her computer so another one

was ordered, the softwear didn't come in? Mother board came in and was

the wrong one...I took the computer back after Thanksgiving 12/15

because they didn't know when the mother board would be in hopefully

with in the week and they would need to keep the computer for at least 3

days to fix it. That didn't make sense. I was told that it was held up

because of the holidays then the snow and [redacted] could not get out. I

contacted HP Tech Support (SEE ABOVE NOTE 12/23/14) HP told me I had

been ripped off after spending 5 hours with me Christmas Eve in an

attempt to fix any and all problems. I went to HP because I thought I

had an HP computer I the intention of asking Digital One to reimburse my

$66.00 dollars and never going to Digital One ever again. On 1/15 I

called and asked about the motherboard I was told they were just talking

to the distributor in MA and it should be in with in the week. I then

said I wanted my money back and [redacted] told me she would have to talk to

Mr. Lindy about that. I was able to get a ride with a friend and we

went to Digital One to get back the $66.00 I had paid them for the now none existent motherboard.

Mr Lindy keep us waiting for about 45 minutes then call us back in to

his office. My friend was with me. I asked him to refund my $66.00 which

I had paid them in November. Mr. Lindy refused to refund the money. He

told me it was NOT his fault the distributor could not get the part and I

was out of luck. He said he didn't owe me a $66.00 refund. I told him that was outright stealing and he told me it wasn't his problem. He became aggressive insulting and demeaning.

My friend was with me and witnessed the whole conversation. Mr. Lindy

said it wasn't his fault that the mother board came in but it was used

on another computer because I didn't have my computer in the shop at

the time. Then he changed that a little further in the conversation and

said that it wasn't his fault that they sent the wrong item. He told me

he was a business man and he couldn't just give away $66.00. I told him

again that it was not his $66.00 it was mine and I had put it down in

good faith expecting that my computer would be fixed and I never

received what I had paid for. Finally he said that he would not refund

the money but that he would give me store credit. I refuse saying he had

nothing that I wanted except my money back. Then he said that he would contact the distributor and get the motherboard in but I had to leave my computer.

I brought my computer in and left it in good faith that the compromise

would work and I would never have to see them again after I got the

promised motherboard. This was on 1/15/15 it is now 3/19/15 no

motherboard in sight and now I do not have my computer. On 2/24/15 after

a bunch of very lame excuses I went to Digital One to retrieve my

computer fixed or not. I was told that they could not give me my

computer it had been taken apart. I asked why and was told that because

they were doing some work on it. I told them I wanted my computer back

and all of my information and they refused to return my computer or the

$66.00. I wrote:Lindy called me 1/19/15 told me I

had to have HP at DO by 1/23/15 if I wanted fixed.1/20/15 drop

off.Called 1/28/15 promised by 2/3/15. 2/3/15 NO,2/13/15 NO,..2/24/15

promised by 2/3/15", Date given couldn't be fulfilled due to weather

conditions affecting delivery time.(snowstorm)MY RESPONSE8.) Another lame excuse. No motherboard It is 3/19/15 and IT HAS STOPPED SNOWING. They refuse to return the money and they refuse to give my computer back.I wrote: give me HP back gave me loaner 2/24

ntwk returned 2/25 -2/25 2nd loaner ntwk.Mr. Lindys response:*In

response to "Loaner 2/25 2nd loaner ntwk", Loaner was tested by Office

Manager, worked fine, and Ms.[redacted]'s email was still logged in at the

time of returnMY RESPONSE:9.)

The reason my email was still logged in is because when I started to

email a Warning appeared saying that the computer didn't have a legal

copy of Windows running and then it shut down and would not turn back

on.Mr. Lindy's Response:*In response to "Loaner 2/24 ntwk

returned", Loaner was tested by a certified technician. Only problem

found was sound wasn't playing. This was only until the replacement

board came in. MY RESPONSE: What good is a computer that has no sound. Both computers were for sale and were on the 4 sale display they intended to sell it with out sound and with an illegal copy of Windows. If they didn't intend to do this and were honest I would have been told up front that it had no sound and an illegal copy of Windows.I wrote:I contacted the Revdex.com. on

3/9 and didn't hear from Digital One until 3/15/15 I was told by [redacted]

that the motherboard was in but it still had no sound and it won't hook up to the internet and that I

had it chocked full of viruses so far down into the root director they

were having to do all this work to get it to work. I told her that I had

virus protection and root protection on the computer so I doubted it

had any viruses I did tell her that HP Tech Support had checked it out and didn't find any viruses. I received communication from Revdex.com with Mr. Lindy's responses to my complaint. Mr. Lindy responded:The motherboard on the Hp is being replaced today, it

will be tested by our senior technician, and Ms. [redacted] will be called

and emailed today. I have authorized my staff that when she comes to

pick it up that she will not leave here until she has 100% tested the Hp

for any problems that she might have with it, and is not allowed to

leave with it until she has tested everything and is happy with it.My response:I

was not called nor have I received any email from Digital One except

what I have posted above. There is no senior technician from what I have

been told and he has had a great turn over. [redacted] is the only one who

has been there this whole year and she has less than a year fixing computers. I take this response from Mr. Lindy as a direct threat. Especially in light his behaviour during our meeting on 1/15 I quote "

Mr. Lindy writes: *Update,

board had been replaced, but Mrs. [redacted] has put a virus on the laptop

and wont get online..... and we will have to erase and reinstall

windows....which we will again be doing at NO CHARGE to the user to make

the customer happy. She will still be testing it still before it is

allowed to leave here.He continues to threaten. He is saying that I

HAVE purposely PUT a virus on the computer so it will not get on line.

All of a sudden he realizes that it won't get on line when this was one

of the issues I was having with it and I had HP Tech Support remotely

check it out while I was plug directly in to my modem and they found no

virus. 12/23 and they have had the computer in their shop this whole

time. If this isn't enough at the beginning of this whole conversation

Mr. Lindy wrote in his own words claim that when refurbishing computers they

put antivirus protection on it so if they had done so theoretically

there should not be a problem with MY computer. I have purchased and

installed my own virus protection for malware and root directory. He

complains they have to do extra work and

out of the goodness of his heart he is not going to charge me. Then IF I

am not happy with what they have done he will NOT ALLOW ME TO LEAVE with MY computer and MY Computer is NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE

unless I test it. I do not like being threatened in anyway. This is a

threat. He has no right over my personal property nor does he have any

right to say what I will and will not do and if I don't do what he says he has authorized his staff to STOP ME FROM TAKING MY COMPUTER. He has no right to accuse me

of sabotaging my own personal computer at his expense. I AM THE CUSTOMER.I do not want anything more to do with him other than getting my information back and a brand new computer and printer as specified, and shipped directly from HP to me. Or he can refund all of the money I have spent over the past year. If he refuses those options, I will gladly take him in court.

Response:

1. You picked up a Dell Studio 1735 on 3/24/15 and the HP is still here in our shop.2. A direct threat was not issued. We want all of our customers to test their computers to make sure they are happy with the work performed before they leave. You “were running late and couldn’t stay to test it.” 3. We didn’t charge you to install the printer. Why would we test a printer if its brand new?

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:1. You picked up a Dell Studio 1735 on 3/24/15 and the HP is still here in our shop.I WAS CONTACTED BY THE BUSINESS ON 3/20/15. I WAS INFORMED THAT MY HP WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP. I TOLD [redacted] THAT I WOULD PICK IT UP ON TUESDAY 3/24/15. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE BUSINESS TO PICK UP MY HP COMPUTER, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. THE BOARD THAT HAD BEEN ORDERED WAS A BAD BOARD, (AGAIN). I ASKED WHY THEY DID THE CALL ME AND TELL ME IT WAS READY? I WAS GIVEN THE DELL TO USE AND TOLD MY INFORMATION HAD BEEN PUT ON THE DELL STUIDO 1735 ; 2008 SYSTEM. I have made arrangements to pick up the non working HP at my earliest convenience this week.2. A direct threat was not issued. We want all of our customers to test their computers to make sure they are happy with the work performed before they leave. You “were running late and couldn’t stay to test it.” I WAS NOT RUNNING LATE. I WENT TO PICK UP MY HP WHICH I WAS TOLD WAS READY. WHEN I ARRIVED I WAS INFORMED THAT THE HP WAS NOT FIXED. HENCE THERE WAS NOTHING TO TEST.3. We didn’t charge you to install the printer. Why would we test a printer if its brand new?I QUOTE MR. LINDY'S PREVIOUS REPLY TO THIS COMPLAINT: In response to "new printer installed on computer", our records state we only sold her the printer, install was not included because that was an extra charge Ms.[redacted] didn't want to pay. The printer was tested by a certified technician and was working perfectly before it left our office.IT SEEMS MR. LINDY CAN NOT DECIDE IF THEY THEY TESTED THE PRINTER OR THEY DIDN'T TEST THE PRINTER. I WAS CHARGED $89.99 FOR A $59.00 PRINTER. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO INSTALL THE PRINTER, I WOULD HAVE GONE TO WALMART AND PURCHASED A $39.00 PRINTER. HAD THAT PRINTER NOT WORKED I WOULD HAVE AT LEAST BEEN ABLE TO RETURN IT.. I FEEL I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED, BLANTALY LIED TO REPEATEDLY, REFUSED TO REFUND OR RETURN MONIES THAT I PUT DOWN FOR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES I DIDN'T RECEIVE FROM THIS BUSINESS AND MR. LINDY. I FEEL THAT MR. LINDY NEEDS TO MAKE RESTITUTION TO ME FOR ALL THE COSTS AND THE TROUBLE HE AND HIS BUSINESS HAS PUT ME THOUGH. I WENT TO THEM IN GOOD FAITH, EXPECTING PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO BE HANDLED WITH REASONABLE REPUTABLE GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES. I HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING IN RETURN FOR MY MONEY. I AM STILL WITH OUT THE WORKING COMPUTER I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED. I WOULD LIKE MR. LINDY TO MAKE GOOD ON PROVIDING THE TERMS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY LAID OUT. THOSE TERMS ARE WELL WITHIN REASON.
