Review: I hired [redacted] Diglio to build brick and bluestone steps and paver walkway in July 2013. The stairs are uneven and the pavers have spacing between them and look unprofessional...His business card says he is a licensed mason and is insured... When I called to ask him to repair, he ignored my calls on many occasions..I paid him $2500.00 I would like a refund or the repairs made asapDesired Settlement: Refund the $2500.00 paid or repair asap

I am responding to the current complaint made by Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] contacted myself, inquiring about the job that she stated in her complaint. I had gone to her house to show her all of the different materials that were available for her to choose from and gave her a price. She chose the brick and bluestone that is currently on the premises now. I began the job on August 12, 2013 upon her consent to proceed with the materials she had chosen. On August 15. 2013 I finished the job and Ms. [redacted] paid me for the completion of the job stating she was very happy with the final product. I stated to her that if any bricks sink or move while the ground settles down, which normally 4-5 months, that I would gladly come to repair any issues at hand. She called me a month later because the brick moved so I went and repaired that for her. She then called in 3 more weeks to say she now doesn't like the stone that was used, not that any repairs needed to be done. I explained to Ms. [redacted] that I can do the job at an additional cost. She already chose the stone initionally and now wanted something different. I explained I have no problems doing any sort of repairs to the work she paid for but not to rip out the whole job I did because, she now doesn't cosmetically like the way the bricks she chose in the first place look. If there are any repairs that need to be done to the work I already performed, then she can absolutely call me in the Spring and I will be happy to go fix them. Otherwise, I cannot start a new job with new materials, without charging Ms. [redacted] any new costs. Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The pavers are still loosening and there is no border to prevent then from moving. The steps are not level on each side .. The ground was not Tamped properly prior to laying pavers and there is a dip in the walkway. This is unacceptable from a "licensed and insured mason" which [redacted] claims he is on his business card. He was paid 2500.00 for this job and it was not done properly.. He ignores my requests to fix it .. Doesn't return my calls.
