Failure to complete a job to customer satisfaction.Company was hire to repair a shower that did not work. They came and replaced the shower control/tap at a cost of $610.Purchased new tap at [redacted] (Cost was $189. but I was charged $245.00). When completed the tap was loose. I called them back. They came back and "fixed" it. It was worse after they fixed! I called again, and have had no response yet. [redacted] I paid the $610.00 and I just want my shower working! Desired SettlementI would like a billing adjustment and my shower fixed!Business Response When we came in to her house we looked at her bathroom taps. We told her that they needed to be replaced. [redacted] said to us to replace them, we asked her what type of price does she want to spend, she did not give us a answer. Then we told her that we will pick up a new set of taps for her plus are carrying charges for the parts and taps. [redacted] then told us that she wanted shark bits for the ends. Shark bits are pieces that snap on to the ends of the pipes to connect the ends together. [redacted] then was told that they are more expensive she then told us that it was fine. There were 9 shark bits that was used each piece cost us $9.89 plus tax. The bathroom taps cost was $189.00 plus tax at our cost. We had to cut some of her drywall out because to get at her taps and shower head. We asked her if that was all right to do that she said that was fine. We asked [redacted] who did her previse renovations she told us that it was her girl friend that did the work before. Her girl friend put plumber putty on all the ends to hold all the pieces into place before, that was the wrong procedure to install the bathroom taps from the beginning. The reason that her spout was moving a bit was because she drilled a hole in her wall 1 1/4 in diameter to put the spout in the hole. The hole should of been 1/2 only in diameter . [redacted] told us that she went down to [redacted] and seen the same taps for $189.00. [redacted] told us that we over charged on the taps and I told her that we pay the same price as anyone else does. [redacted] was under the impression that contractors get discounts on there products and we do not. We are only responsible for the work we did in her house.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)1.Had I known they didn't receive a contractor price from [redacted], I would have gotten them myself. I had said when they told me I needed new faucet, I would go and get it. She said no, they would.2.I never told them I wanted new shark bits.I don't even know what they are. 3. my friend that did previous plumbing does lots of it and knows what she is doing. She has done it for years.3.The hole in the wall was no problem for the previous faucet. Why was it so why doesn't it work for this one?4[redacted]5.I want the old faucet and the new shower head back. I paid for a new shower head! Final Business Response We have fixed what [redacted] wanted to get done on her taps, we are responsible only for what the workmanship that we have done. We are not responsible for any workmanship that was done from her friend prior to are work. Digness Renovations did all the work that was asked from us. As we told [redacted] that there was a carrying charge on those taps we feel that we did not do nothing wrong in are charges. If [redacted] wants the hole fixed that her friend did we would be more then happy to do it and we will charge her for that call. If [redacted] does not want that done Digness Renovations will concluded this matter to be closed.
