Review: We have booked a private party with Dilettos Restaurant and have made a deposit of $250.They gave us a contract and receipt for this deposit. The restaurant apparently closed down.We have been trying to get in touch with them by calling them and through email but no response.Our Party is for Sat, Oct **. We haven't heard anything from the management and they were supposed to contact us 7 days prior to our reservation. Kindly help us get our deposit back. This business have caused a lot of inconvenience for us as we booked their party room for 70-80 people for my daughter's baptism celebration. Now we had to look for another venue last minute. I'm hoping they will still return our deposit at least. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I hope they can give us back our deposit of $250 since they closed down the restaurant without informing us.

Review: I have a contract with Diletto's Restaurant to have a Sweet 16 party for my daughter on Nov *, 2014.

I left a deposit to secure the location date and time on March **, 2014.

I visited the establishment approximately 3 weeks prior to Oct **, 2014.

I have been calling Diletto's since Columbus Day Monday Oct **. 2014 to date and get no answer nor an answering machine.

I was supposed to give them a final head count on Sat Oct **, 2014.

I drove by Diletto's on Thursday Oct **, 2014 to find that the business has been closed by Nassau County for failure to obtain a permit in order to perform renovations at the establishment. A notice was posted on the door at Diletto's.

Diletto's has never contacted me to let me know they were closed and that I could not have my event as planned at their location.

I have called several times to date and have visited the establishment several times. I have photos to document my visits on several different dates.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the deposit I gave to Diletto's because they did not honor our contract.

Review: I booked a bridal shower at Dilettos of [redacted] in September and gave them a $250.00 deposit. The shower was to take place on November *, 2014. Since the time I booked the party, the Restaurant has closed, has never contacted me and I am unable to reach anyone by phone or email. It's bad enough that I was not made aware of the closing and had to scramble to find another restaurant, but they have clearly broken their contract with me and I would like my deposit refunded promptly.Desired Settlement: I would like, at the very least, for my deposit to be refunded.

Review: I had a party booked in their private party room for my husbands surprise 40th birthday party. I went their and booked the party for October [redacted] 2014 and left a $250.00 dollar deposit in cash. I was told to call on October [redacted] for a final head count and my menu selection. When I went to call there was no answer. I went out to the restaurant and there is a sign on the door saying it is closed for renovations. I have tried on numerous occasions to call every number I had for this place and I got nothing..there was no answering machine so I couldn't leave a message. I left text messages, emails, no response.Desired Settlement: I want my $250.00 deposit back. That is it. I am not asking for the new charges I had to take for last minute booking of another location. I am not asking for any money because of my stress that I had because of their negligence.
