In response to Ms. [redacted]’s letter to driver, Carl showed up 3 days later than originally booked. He was behind our schedule because of torrential rains in the American southeast. When he arrived, as customary, he inspected the vehicle and noted all scratches and rock chips on the Bill of...

Lading. The representative on the Florida side, where the pick up location was, agreed to the scratches and signed and dated the BOL. While in transit the driver experienced very difficult weather. Two different mountain passes were closed in Colorado and Utah as the result of a bad snowstorm. The result of this caused the driver to take 10 days to transit the country to Washington. The customer was bothered by the Mother Nature delay and asked that Carl deliver the cars no matter what time of night it was. As a result, the cars were delivered just before 2 am. Carl presented the vehicles to the customers and asked them to inspect them to confirm the condition noted on the BOL. They did and agreed to the notations then signed the BOL and paid the driver with a check. They offered Carl and his assistant a drink in the house, but Carl politely declined and left the neighborhood.A couple of days later I received a call from the customer claiming damage (scratches) in the same location on the vehicles as was noted in Florida. I advised him the scratches were already there and noted on the BOL. He said the car was pristine. He later called my insurance company to file a claim. I notified my insurance company of the apparent scam and provided them with the documentation to prove it.A couple of weeks later I received a call from a female who told me I scratched her cars. We confirmed the vehicles and I informed her that those cars were scratched when we received them and noted accordingly. She proceeded to curse at me and raise her voice dropping F-bombs and threatening to sue. She told me the cars took 6 weeks in transit and that she was there when they were put on the trailer and on the other end when they came off. She said she had photos to prove it. There was not a female on the pick up location and the BOL’s signatures were not 6 weeks apart. She told me she would sue me if I did not refund her money. She told me the driver forced her to sign the BOL without allowing her to look at it and when he was paid he ran away. She obviously forgot talking with them outside and inviting them in for a cup of coffee. She has no photographic proof and her story is entirely made-up. She is the typical lady that puts here own hair in her salad at a restaurant. The last thing I told her was that I was not going to fall for the scam and that I had my documented proof on both ends of the transport.The next thing I know she has contacted the in an effort to exaggerate the lie.My company is reputable and has never had a complaint against it for any transaction.
