Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  If [redacted] Septic would have FIRST looked into their accounts department (common sense would tell you to look at the last name on an account )and taken care of this issue instead of threatening me first and foremost with collections and being so rude as to yell, scream and bully, knowing I was already upset because of the numerous times they contacted me, and also told me this problem had been settled ...that it had been THEIR mistake, well none of this would have happened.  I would have thought they value their customers.

Review: On January 3, 2014, [redacted] Septic Inc. came to my residence to empty my septic tank. While in process of removing lid the driver dropped half of the lid into the septic tank. He finished pumping out the tank and then came inside for payment. He noted on the receipt and also verbally explained to me what had happened. He then said I would need to buy a new lid and recommended another company to do so. Not once did he offer to have the lid retrieved from the tank. On January 4, 2014, I called [redacted] Septic Inc. and asked to speak to the owner. I spoke to [redacted] to inquire if there would be a discount on the lid as it was lost due to an accident while emptying the tank. He started yelling at me and said that I put his employee in danger making him come out on such a night to work on my antiquated system. He told me that they secured the sight with caution tape and plywood. (There was caution tape but no plywood.) The call was quickly deteriorating and I ended the call. When the plumber arrived later on the 4th to finish a repair he had started on January 2, 2014, I told him what had happened and he said that [redacted] Septic should be able to remove the lid from the tank. When I tried to call [redacted] back to inquire whether or not that was possible I was told he was not available and that he would call me back. I have waited more than 48 hours and he has not called me back. My son covered the tank with tarps to prevent the tank from filling up with rain water. I am a 70 year old woman and do not deserve this treatment.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to retrieve the lid and or replace if damaged at time of incident.

RE: [redacted]

Complaint [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern

On January 3, 2014 [redacted] contacted our company [redacted] Septic Inc to pump her septic due to backing up and overflowing. She was asked if the lid to her septic was exposed and she said yes. Due to the extreme weather conditions that day(snow storm and very cold) we could not get there till late afternoon. We arrived at 4pm to find that the lid to her septic was not completely exposed and it was partly under a deck and a concrete pad. It was at this time that the lid was not of normal size ( 32 inches) it was an old split lid with a total diameter of 60 inches (or 5 feet). Our driver trying to remove have of the lid slipped on the snow and the lid hit the concrete pad and went into the septic. (believed to be a cesspool) That same said night the area was cautioned tape by us till this problem could be properly resolved.

On Saturday morning January 4th I called [redacted] to see what we could do. I told her we had someone who could put plywood down and put up some more caution tape till we could get a proper lid. She told me that was done and needed a new lid and wanted a discount. I told her that due to the size and not being the norm a lid would have to be ordered and that the company would do it at cost. We even told her where the lid would be ordered so she would know the price. [redacted] was very demanding and want it done that day with a discount. I told her again "How could I give you a discount when we are doing it for cost and I can not do it today the lid has to be ordered because it is not of the norm" [redacted] was very upset and was not understanding and we both hung up the phone.

Later I found that [redacted] did call back that day however I did not get the message till Monday and she did not leave a message on what she wanted. I believe that [redacted] does have and antiquated system (as she stated in her complaint) that was overflowing at the time of service, backing up into the home, and lid older than me and that the County Health Dept should be contacted because the system may not be operating in a proper manor.

If [redacted] would like to have this resolved my offer still stands. However it should be noted that to move a 60 inch diameter lid can not be done with just one man. It will take a machine and labor and I will give her a price to cover only what it cost the company and the old lid will be removed. This will not solve any problems that she may have with the operation of the system.

Sincerely

[redacted]i President
