The customer had recall 15S27 on his vehicle which we performed. The vehicle passed the inspection but the vehicle's axle did...
have a crack. When the axle passes inspection but has a crack we then explain their option to use the owner notification program 15N02. According to owner notification program 15N02 Ford offers the customer to purchase a brand new axle by participating in the price of the repair. The customer if they choose to purchase the new axle will only pay [redacted] of a [redacted] repair as Ford consumes the balance. The customer was informed of the options and chose to have a new axle put in for the [redacted]

I maintain that if the recall was put there to prevent the axle from cracking and the axle cracks it should not pass inspection.
