Review: In September of 2012 I payed Dinbokowitz Marine to Rebuild the drive system in my 2001 Sea-doo GTX jet ski along with rebuilding the caburetors which cost me a total of $1555.37+ tax. Since I have had the jet ski back from them I put a total of only 7 hours on the jet ski and the impeller and shaft have stripped there splines and failed, the two main components of the drive system. I took the ski back to Dinbokowitz and the have refused to make good on there work and I have even offered to pay for parts but no labor. In the paperwork that I have from Dinbokowitz from September 2012 it is written by them "inspect impeller" and " check driveshaft, seals etc." in which they have checked off "inspect impeller". I do not feel this is good business ethic and that they should take responsibility for the work they do no matter if they do it personally or another of there employees does the work. If I had been out on the ocean when these so called inspected parts had failed there could have been a much worse outcome for me and my girlfriend who was on the jet ski with me when the parts failed. Another issue that bothered me was how rudely I was treated by them on a personal level because they basically called me a liar without using those exact words.Desired Settlement: I would like the parts and repairs completed for free at this point. Or have them pay another marine mechanic to repair and pay for parts.

I am rejecting this response because: I do not accept this response because I was told when I brought the jet ski in in july 2013 that there was no specs on the driveshaft and/or impeller which indicates to me they did not actually inspect the shaft and impeller as stated were it says in the response letter that my 2001 sea doo was running to factory spec when I picked it up from Dinbokowitz in september 2012. There is no possible way to fabricate a driveshaft or impeller without actual diemensioned specs. By them telling me that there is no specs to be found on these parts shows me they could not have properly inspected the driveshaft and impeller as stated on the repair slip I have from september 2012. In regards to the 10 month time gap from repair to new incident, there is always an off season for watercrafts in our area do to a thing called winter. Also to bring the correct timing into perspective, there was a total of only 7 hours of running time on the jet ski from september2012 to july 2013, this is less than one full work day of 8 hours as most people work. I have several eye witnesses to testify to the fact of the machine not being beaten during the 7 hours of running time. In reality it could most likely be at least a half our of the 7 total hours on the machine was idleing time which definitely is not abuse to a jet ski.
