Dino's Auto Glass Reviews (1)

Review: We had a crack in our 2010 Honda CRV's windshield. On December 20, 2013, we hired Dino's Auto Glass to install a new windshield which they said was "identical to Honda's factory glass, but the only difference was theirs didn't have the Honda name in the corner," we said great, and they installed it, and they seemed like nice, competent guys. Subsequently we discovered a problem during the first rain in January of 2014: a loud high pitched squeak that occurs while the windshield wipers are engaged. Specifically, the sound comes from the driver's side wiper against the new windshield that Dino's Auto Glass installed. We called immediately to inform them of the problem. After having to track them down, literally, they attempted to problem solve it by spraying WD40. The screeching squeak was lessened momentarily, but came back after driving in the rain for a few minutes that day. Plus the WD40 was apparently sprayed into or near the ventilation air intake, which meant I (then pregnant) was breathing fumes. We called to complain again. We even had our Honda Dealer specialist look at it as well. The Honda specialists spent an hour trying to fix it and eventually deduced that the problem was with the newly installed windshield and not the wiper itself, which was replaced twice by Honda, hoping the squeak would go away. Now we have been calling the owner of Dino's glass off and on for months, and have been ignored for the most part. We scheduled several appointments for them to replace the glass, but they rudely didn't show up, or answer our calls. Dino Rodriguez and Andy Carey, both co-owners of Dino's Auto Glass, have neglected to take responsibility in a timely matter. They are avoiding handling this problem in any sort of professional manner. This is a basic account of the problems that occurred over a 5 month period, since they installed the new windshield on December 20, 2013; there are other troubling details as well, which I don't have room to include here. Thank you for your time and efforts.Desired Settlement: It is May 29, 2014, over five months since we had them install a new windshield on our 2010 Honda CRV. At this point we would like them to remove the windshield from our vehicle and give us a full refund for the amount of $170.
