Review: In the fall of 2013, I talked to [redacted] of [redacted] Necessity LLC, about trimming two Ficus trees in the back yard and a pine tree in the front. The ficus had large sections of frost damage from the year before that I specifically discussed removing. He has done work in the neighborhood and seemed to know what he was doing. He agreed to have his crew trim the trees and gave a price but didn't have papers to give a written contract. Then he set up a time to do my trees and a neighbors trees at the same time. The crew came and trimmed the trees but left the frost damaged tops. Did the same to the neighbors tree. When [redacted] came around to collect the money we told him that the job wasn't done, that the dead stuff we had originally hired him to remove was still there. The trimmers had only thinned the trees a bit. His explanation was that winter was coming and the dead stuff would protect the tree from frost and he wanted to be sure it was really dead before removing the top branches. He would come back in the spring and finish the job. The neighbor was told the same thing and not being tree knowledgeable like he is we agreed. Spring came and no crew. Called [redacted] many times and left messages as dd the neighbor but he doesn't return calls. Caught him twice in the neighborhood working on another yard and asked when he was coming to finish our jobs and why no return calls. His excuse was he hurt his back and the girl answering his phones didn't give him my number. His crew had a 4 hour job down the street in two weeks on Sat and would come finish my trees when done there. I stayed home as did my neighbor. No crew came. Called many times and left a message. No reply. Neighbor hasn't heard anything either. We paid him cash to do a job $600/tree and they never finished. [redacted] never gave us a receipt because he didn't have the papers with him. Our trees still look the same as before with lots of dead branches on top, and still over grown. At this point I /WE don't trust him or his crew and we both just want our money back so the trees can be trimmed by someone else.Desired Settlement: [redacted] of Dire Necessity LLC got paid in full to trim three trees in my yard and one in the neighbors yard. We paid [redacted] $600.00 per tree. The pine tree was trimmed way too much but it was trimmed so We are requesting $1800.00 CASH for the three trees that were not trimmed.

Review: I paid [redacted] $1855 to cut down two sucker trees--a sumac and an ash on north wall, remove large sumac, trim pecan tree, oleanders, elm in back and elm in front.

When the pean tree started to have leaves again, I called [redacted] and told him none of the dead branches had been trimmed off the pecan tree. And also one of the smaller trees his crew had "removed" was again about three feet high. He told me he would have a crew member out in two days to take are of it. No one showed up. I called [redacted] three times the next week and left him messages. He never returned my phone calls. Finally, the fourth phone call I called from a friend's phone and he answered, apologized and said he would have someone out that weekend. Again no one showed up. I called him several times over the next two weeks and he never answered the call or returned my phone call. I still have not heard from him. Also, when his crew trimmed the oleanders on the west wall, they left most of the trimmings behind the oleanders and my son had to clean up after them.

Also, I changed my mind the morning [redacted]'s crew was starting to cut down the large sumac tree and decided to keep it but just have it trimmed. [redacted] told me he would still charge me the $750 for trimming it which was the price for cutting it down completely and removing it. I did agree to that, so I certainly expected him to have taken care of the other trees properly for $1855.Desired Settlement: I do not want to use his services any longer. Since they didn't trim the pecan tree, I am requesting a refund of $125, which was the itemized price of trimming the pecan tree.
