Direct ADvantage

Review: On Saturday, September 6, 2014, I received a direct mailing solicitation piece, mailed to my home from Direct Advantage Magazine. Later that day, I sent an email to the contact email address listed on their web page, [email protected], requesting immediate removal from their list. Within hours of sending, my email was returned undeliverable. So today, Monday, September 08, 2014 at around 11:00-11:30am, I called the number listed on their web page, to request removal from their list, ###-###-####. I spoke to a woman named [redacted] asked for the name and the address that I wanted removed from their list. So I gave her my home address, ([redacted]), and I was a little taken aback with [redacted]'s reply. [redacted] stated she could remove me from their mailing list for next month, but she stated that after next month, my address would be put back on the list. The implication here is that there is no permanent way to be removed from their mailing list, and that I would have to contact them monthly to opt-out of receiving their unwanted solicitations. I told [redacted] if she could not guarantee permanent removal, I was going to contact the Revdex.com. [redacted] seemed to have no problem with that, or with the fact that they were willing to continually contact someone and invade the privacy of someone requesting to not be bothered. Needless to say, I have a problem with this policy. I have a right to privacy, and refusing to permanently remove my address and to state that they are going to continue to contact me, is totally unacceptable.I was hoping you can correct this issues, that Direct Advantage Magazine is giving consumers no way to permanently opt-out of unwanted solicitation mail, at least according to [redacted].Desired Settlement: I simply want to be permanently opted out of Direct Advertising Magazines mailing list and never hear from them again.
