After speaking with me, I told my wife to call in and get our money back since we did not need nor could we afford the warrantyWhen she called the next morning, the rep would not let her cancel the policy and instead persistently offered her discountsWhen I found out about this, I called them myselfI was abhorred by their customer serviceThe man constantly treated me as ignorant of the 'value' of their protection, asking me rhetorical questions about why dealers only offer car warranties for so many yearsI told the rep that I understood the pros and cons to having their protection and it was my right to cancel and have my money refundedThirty minutes of argument went byHe kept saying he understood that I wanted to cancel, but continued to steer the conversation to his statistics and figuresI finally had to ask the man if I needed to take legal action before he would give up and allow me to cancel the policyWith a bit an attitude he muttered his scripted cancellation lines and finally stopped wasting my time
For how much trouble I encountered trying to get my refund, I do not trust this company at all to offer any money for car repairs had I stayed with their protection policy
BUYER BEWARE!!! I have paid over $3000 for a 4-year policy but sold the vehicle after a year. I was told I cannot get a refund even though there were no claims filed against the policy... nor have I received a refund of the auto-payment made AFTER the vehicle was sold despite NUMEROUS calls. They sell the policy for Liberty Automotive Protection and stated that I pay for 18 months then get 30 months free so any money paid is not refundable... are you kidding?!?!
