I was told to come in to the dealership after scheduling an appointment and letting contact know that because of my work schedule my time is extremely limited after touching base with the contact the day before and the day of the appointment after returning to Maryland from Ft Worth I drive tractor trailers over the road I was told to ask for a specific saless associate who was not even aware I was coming or if the vehicle I was interested in was even on the lot after standing around wsiting for nearly minutes while the sales associate figures out my situation I decided to return back home to Maryland after wasting my time fuel and money for tolls I was then contacted by email letting me know the vehicle was at the Rosedale Maryland lot which is less than miles from my homeThey told me to drive to Sterling Virginia after driving hours to get back home from work to only find out that was completely unnecessary because the vehicle was miles from my home and didn't even apologize for wasting my time or money just said I should go to the Rosedale lot to look at the vehicle this is the worst customer service I personally have dealt with ever

Review: I purchased a vehicle (1994 [redacted]) from this dealer via Phone since I live over 600 miles away and my only request was for the the car to pass inspection and have a good and working Transmission and Motor before we finalize. I was told the vehicle was looked over by their certified technicians and motor, transmission was in Excellent condition , and it passed inspection. the vehicle was transported to us by a flat bed from [redacted] Virginia to [redacted] NY with a terrible loud knock in the engine. I called spoke to the sales representative and was then able to reach the manager to then the owner Mr. Robert B[redacted]. Mr. B[redacted] requested for the vehicle to be picked up by [redacted] Auto Auction for inspection and on Aug 11th it was picked by flat bed taken to [redacted] Auto Auction. I called Aug 13 left a message on Mr. B[redacted] voice mail and again on Aug 15 left another message and received no response. Today Aug 18th I called left a clear message to Mr. B[redacted] that if I didn't here back from him by this weds 20th that I will notify my bank and ask for debit card reversal and also notify Revdex.com and VA department of Motor vehicles. Mr. B[redacted] called me back on the 20th and used every foul language and threatened me personally " I will destroy you and your career in the Automobile business". Note: This dealer has nothing signed by me including the credit card authorization.Desired Settlement: Refund my debit card and the $650.00 transportation fee . My request is that my desired settlement to be satisfied by and no later then Aug 22nd .

Review: I purchased a car through Direct Car Buying June 30th 2013. I put $2000 down and financed the remainder. I was told I had 30 days to do an extended warranty through Direct Cars or through a place of my choice. On July 6th I took my car into the BMW dealer bc the check engine light came on. I was told that the vehicle needed an Alternator& water pump drive belt tensioner ($499.52), battery ($498.39), stealing sleeve ($836.16), front thrust bushing ($767.15). I asked if the car could go through MD inspection but was told that these issues would not allow the car to pass. The man attending to my vehicle stated these things should have been discovered in a 100pt inspection, which Direct Car stated they performed. I would not have purchased a car w so many issues bc I am not able to put this kind of money into this vehicle. I called **. [redacted] after leaving the dealership and explained the problems, he told me to fax the info, which I did. He called me when he received the info and told me the dealer was trying to up sale me on these items. Direct Car wanted me to take my vehicle to their recommended place to be inspected [redacted] in [redacted], Md. They replaced a part but not any of the ones on the list. On July 27th I went back to the BMW dealership to purchase my extended warranty, I was told to set an apt which I did for Wed July 31st. I was told I would have to pay for an inspection to make sure there is no preexisting issue. I told the gentleman I was working with, [redacted], I was just in July 6th with the car so he pulled up my info and said we cannot do a warranty until the parts from my list were fixed. I emailed [redacted] at Direct Cars and told him I could not obtain an extended warranty w the condition of the car and the main decisions in purchasing the car was being able to obtain a warranty. I did research for a few days and emailed [redacted] 8/6/2013 and explained to him once again that we need to come to some kind of compromise. I explained that I do not care if he would rather take it to a mechanic they have to save on price long as I had proof. I told them I could drop it off while I am on vacation Aug 21-28. I even told him I would replace the battery myself if they would fix the rest. **. [redacted] emailed me back explaining they would not fix anything else and the only thing they would fix was the item they fixed when I took the car for inspection in [redacted]s. He said the problems are wear and tear and I can't expect to have a new car when the car is used. He still offered the warranty again saying he would still offer it to me ever though it is past the 30 days. I think the only reason that was still possible is bc they gave me an extension on my temp tags. The sale date was changed to July 31st on the registration. I did not trust them to give them $1500 for a warranty and I felt it would be fraud to get the warranty and take it to get fixed knowing the preexisting issues.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the car serviced and brought up to code for the extended warranty and have the parts listed repaired/replaced: an Alternator & water pump drive belt tensioner ($499.52), battery ($498.39), stealing sleeve ($836.16), front thrust bushing ($767.15).

Dear **. [redacted]:

We are in receipt of your letter together with a copy the Complaint filed by [redacted].

Please be advised that **. [redacted] purchased her vehicle with a thirty day or one thousand miles, whichever comes first, limited warranty. When she purchased the vehicle the engine light was not on and at the time of the purchase she opted; out of purchasing the extended service contract. This vehicle passed not only the Virginia inspection but also the Maryland State Inspection. She was free to purchase the extended service contract from Direct Car Buying within 90 days from the date of purchase. Direct Car Buying does not represent to any customer as to their ability to purchase an extended service contract from entities other than Direct Car Buying, as it does not know whether it is possible at all.

The items complained of by **. [redacted] are not covered under the limtited warranty mentioned above. Despite that fact, Direct Car Buying addressed the check engine light being on as a good will gesture by sending the vehicle to its preferred repair facility. The check engine light was addressed by the repair facility. As to the remaining items, those items are not covered under the limited warranty. With that said, in an attempt to satisfy **. [redacted], Direct Car Buying is willing to inspect the items mentioned in the complaint to see if they are indeejd in need of a repair. This should not be construed as an agreement to repair the items. **. [redacted] needs to contact the customer care department at ([redacted] to make arrangements.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very sincerely yours,
