Direct Depot Kitchen Wholesalers, Inc. Reviews (2)
Review: I purchased kitchen cabinets from Direct Depot Kitchen Wholesalers (DDKW) on 12/7/2013. They had provided design and measurement services. The design and measurement services were to guarantee the fit and functionality of the cabinets. On five of the cabinets, the doors hit adjacent cabinets, walls, etc...limiting the functionality of the cabinets and leading to their depreciation via damage. This became apparent to me when the cabinets were installed. We contacted the designer, [redacted], on 3/14/2014 about the issue as soon as we noticed it. He indicated that he would remedy the situation via a supply of "hinge limiters." He indicated that we needed two limiters per "long door." There are 5 doors affected. We had requested 10 limiters. As of 5/25/2014, DDKW has not remedied the situation. Requests to Mr. [redacted] have ended in refusal to supply the 10 limiters.
The cabinets affected include the cabinet to the right of the sink (this one has undergone chipping and denting); both doors on the kitchen pantry; the bottom and top cabinets to the right of the refrigerator. There are 5 doors affected.Desired Settlement: We ask that DDKW remedy the defect in the measurement and design via "hndge limiters" or other appropriate measures. I ask that they replace the door that has been chipped and dented by this design flaw (door to the right of the sink - W1536-R). I ask that they provide the labor for the remedy.
I have called the customer 4 times since the complaint had posted, and have not heard back from them as of yet.
As we have made efforts to enumerate the specific need and location for the restrictor clips through emails, we had not gotten the answers for the specifics until we received the complaint. We had requested this same information through email twice and it remained unanswered.
Direct Depot is and has been willing to provide and install the restrictor clips.
Each door will require 1 clip and the larger pantry door will require 2.
The installation is simple and quick and will not require much work.
When the homeowner responds to my voice mails, we can discuss arranging this work.
thank you for your involvement.

Review: Hello, unfortunately we have to seek your assistance to resolve our issue. We ordered a new kitchen (cabinets) and installation on July 27, 2013 and the job is still not finished up to this date. We paid a lot of money $12,879.37 upfront and in full expecting a promised to us top-notch quality and service and a quick resolution to any issue. We have also paid 70% (or $1,410) for installation up to this day. However, we got was an incorrect design, many items with defects, multiple damages during installation which prolong the process for over five months. It also delays our renovation and us moving into our new home. We had to extend an apartment lease and it is costing us additional money. We have a written letter from a Service Manager stating their fault. Their contractor came out twice; however, it is still not complete. First time he could not finish it because of missing items, defected items and damages done during the installation. We received some of the missing and defected pieces. Second time he could not finish the job because additional damages during the 2nd visit and missing items. They also damaged a wall paint, which we paid separately to fix. We contacted the Service Manager and emailed him a full list and pictures of all the issues. We asked him to have a representative to visit the site and witness all the problems. Nevertheless, no one made a visit and we are being consistently ignored and experiencing a slow response from the service team. They do not return phone calls and only respond via email days later. We were told that we will receive some of the items (not everything we need) but we only received a portion of it. No one visited and assessed this situation. This is not a quality and service we were promised. It also costs us additional money. We have two weeks left on our lease and we have to move into a house with no kitchen. All of our communication is via email and we can forward it to you for your review and attach all the pictures.Desired Settlement: We would like a representative from their company to visit and assess this situation. We want Direct Kitchen Depot to send us all missing parts and replacements for defects and damaged ones. This way our kitchen can be assembled and completed.
Please see the attached email chain of correspondence that had been sent to the customer on 12-19-13 and earlier....It provides backup and security that we have been responsive to the homeowner in a timely manner and supportive as well.. By no means are has Direct Depot Kitchens been unresponsive or negligent in the matter..
there any replacements that he requested that have not been processed and delivered.. the absolute final item he is receiving is a second time replacement already... the first replacement came with shipping damages...
installation and labor is not specifically attached to Direct Depot kitchens. Although the contractor is a referral based contractor and not an employee of direct depot kitchens, they are a reputable and respectable contracting company that we have had many accolades in return.
Please review and request a current response from the consumer as it seems like he filed the complaint before the last item had been delivered..
I personally have spoken to [redacted] today, to provide him the delivery information on this last item (being Monday)..I am scheduled with him to meet on site January 2, 2014.
thanks and as always we appreciate your involvement...
