I, too, bought into the Direct Savings Plan in which I agreed for them to charge $for the Discount Shopping Service ....and another $for the Discount Shopping Discount Publication I was told at that time that if I cancelled within days, I would not be charged the monthly feeI asked for the phone number to call if I decided to cancel and I was given two (2) different phone numbers one for EACH service (shopping service and the publication service.) I'm glad I got those phone numbers
I received confirmation letters from each Service a few days laterSince I was still within the 15-day Trial period, I immediately called each of the Cancellation phone numbers and cancelled each service Each phone rep gave me a "confirmation number" for cancellation (which I made note of) I was told I would still receive the $reward voucher
A few days ago, I received a WELCOME letter re: the Shopping service the letter included a website to go to to apply for the $reward voucher I had problems getting the website to display so I called the Customer Service # given in the letterI was told to NOT *** the website...but to type the website in the regular search window *** in my case) And just as the rep informed me, a green "Voucher" form displayed
The rep told me to fill out the form and mail it to the address given in the letter She noted the Membership number given in the letter and said to be sure to include that number on the "form" I had to RIGHT click my mouse to get the form to print
I filled out the form, made a copy, and mailed it today So far, I've followed the instructions to the "tee" Let's see what happens
