This shop was one of the shops that was covered by my warranty, I brought my vehicle in around June 25th for repair, a diagnostics was done and I was told my engine had metal pieces in it my car stayed at this shop for almost an month due to issues with parts store.I was told that my steering shaft needed replacing which will cost me $200.00 I was told I can pick my car up which was July 18th a Saturday and the shop was getting to close. Once I got my car home I checked under the hood and saw that the screws/caps were not on the engine, the dip stick to my transmission was stuck under some other part of the car, non of the function on the steering wheel were not working, the no longer worked and my air bag light was on, mind you all these things were working before the steering shaft was replaced. I called them on Monday due too they were wclosed on Sunday. I let them know all the problems I had with the car after the repaires were surprise to be complete. I wasn't able to take it back to them due having an accident, the air bag did not work. I am just blessed that my life was spared. I will not recommend this company to anyone. The technicians don't seem to take pride in their work. Poor service and a safety hazard. they did not check to see if everything worked properly, I guess because I'm young and they thought I wouldn't check my car out they just didn't care.Product_Or_Service: July 18,2015Order_Number: XXXXXXXDesired SettlementI would like an refund of my out of pocket expenses I paid to thr repair shop for work that was not done properly which is $300.00.Business Response To whom it may concern; we are attempting to contact MS [redacted] at XXX-XXXX. These calls went to voicemail. Her concerns are our concerns. We are attempting to get an invoice for her expenses mentioned in her complaint. After receiving this information from MS [redacted], a decision on this matter will be made. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I spoke with mr. [redacted] he was very rude and nasty he also disconnected the call from me which is very unprofessional. The person [redacted] baker who took my son's money did not give a receipt because the money was given to him in cash. Mr. [redacted] stays they will not refund my son's money back due to not receiving a receipt my son and myself thought the invoice he was given was the receipt but it was not.I think this is what they do they do not take the customer in consideration they are very unprofessional and they are thieves.they do not take responsibility for what they do.Final Business Response To it may concern: Upon talking to MS [redacted] about her son's car, it is our opinion that the three hundred dollars requested will not be returned. One hundred dollars was the deductible required by the warranty company. MS [redacted] could not furnish any other receipt for the remainder. Our warranty is 12 months or 12000 miles whichever comes first. If her son needs warranty repairs and he doesn't want to return to the Frayser location, there are 2 other Direct Tire locations. Also the warranty is honored at 9 [redacted] locations in the Memphis area.

Inconsiderate, rude, loudly telling inappropriate jokes in front of a female customer, falsely claiming vehicle needed repairs11/19/13, [redacted]- initial prob with car was oil change/low tire. Asked if it would take longer than 2hrs. and was told absolutely not, noticing I was only customer in waiting room. Took 2hrs. [redacted] said oil change $54, [redacted] said $17, ended up 84.99 because type of car. Sitting in waiting room on cell with sister who just got home from surgery, [redacted] comes over and rudely starts talking to me LOUDLY asking about remote for TV, asking are you really watching this stuff? continuing on about the remote, LOUDLY. [redacted] comes to tell me "bad news", my inner tie rods need replacing, $340, plus alignment $80. I asked why are they bad? couldn't give a reason, started explaining parts of tire structure, but being FEMALE didn't know parts, then [redacted] asks "would you like a diagram?", meanwhile [redacted] keeps telling joke to other customer about "what type of bee drinks milk?... a [redacted] remarking about the "smell of a reeking customer" joking about "that" as well. After 2hrs. car is almost finished, and I asked for home office number and [redacted] almost gave it to me, then proceeded to ask "why" I wanted it 4-5 times, "what for", "why", over and over, made me feel uncomfortable with the constant eye contact. Then I said "who knows, may be a good call", then he proceeded to get number then. [redacted] just said if I did call don't mention me getting an oil change for 84.99 instead of the 89.99 regular charge. [redacted] all of a sudden became a customer conscious employee asking, "maam would you like a sandwich? coffee?" but by this time all I said was I would like my car. Went to pay bill and still wasn't informed as to what was wrong with tire that was low until I asked and had [redacted] go ask tech. Get in car to leave and oil was not reset back to 100% - [redacted] and mechanic messed with it until figured out how to reset it. Tire pressures were 31, 30, 35, 31. Have main office number and have called twice and left messages and still no return call. Phone answerer that I left messages with said, "oh don't let 1 bad apple ruin your experience, and that we all have wives, girlfriends, meaning because I was a woman I could be taken advantage of. Also promised I would get a phone call back from [redacted](?) who is their problem solver. No call back. Took car to dealership, and told them what Direct Tire said, they personally took me as car was up on rack, and shown me there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of my suspension/tire rods. They were jus trying to make a false problem to make money off of me. I will never go back and will post on all possible sites in accordance to this type of treatment I received. Desired Settlementnothing, just will not go back because of them trying to scam me out of money for something that was not wrong with my vehicle.Business Response We apologize for the inappropriate comments from our staff member, he has been counseled and will continue to be counseled as well as all of the staff on what is appropriate for our customers to hear. The customer came in at 2:35 and asked for an oil change and to check the right rear tire for PSI. We pulled the vehicle in and checked the right rear tire and found no problem with the tires except for the PSI being low. We did find that the front tires were worn badly from alignment and loose inner tie rods, our store manager checked the tie rods himself. We priced the tie rods for her but suggested that she take it to a dealer because they may be under warranty. We did have a salesman from our warehouse discuss tire prices with her since she knows him personally. She declined to get new tires and was going to take it to the dealer to have it checked out. We checked the customer out at 4:20 that day.Our technician did forget to reset the oil light, when this was noticed by the customer our technician and one of the salesman reset the light before the vehicle left our store.

There was nothing wrong with car other than need oil change and a aligement and car still not running right going to try to file a law suit cause they messed up carDesired Settlementwant my car repaired cause nothing was wrong before bringing thereBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]-OPERATIONSTO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: MS. [redacted] CAME IN OUR DIRECT TIRE LOCATION ON[redacted] BLVD. ON 12/4/2014. AT THAT TIME, OUR TECHNICIAN DID AN OIL CHANGE WITH OIL FILTER AND A FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT. A PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECK WAS DONE AND OTHER REPAIRS WERE RECOMMENDED. MS. [redacted] DECLINED THESE REPAIRS. ON 12/11/2014, A WEEK LATER' MS. [redacted] RETURNED STATING HER CAR WAS RUNNING BADLY. THIS TIME A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS DONE AND OUR SCANNER'S CODE WAS FOR A DEFECTIVE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. MS. [redacted] DECLINED THE REPAIR. AFTER A PHONE CALL FROM THE CUSTOMER, OUR MANAGER AGREED TO LOOK AT HER CAR ON 12/20/2014. OUR TECHNICIAN DISCOVERED A PLUG WIRE WAS NOT SEATED CAUSING A MISFIRE. THE TECHNICIAN RESEATED ALL THE PLUG WIRES AND THE ENGINE ROUGHNESS WENT AWAY. THESE PLUG WIRES WERE NOT INSTALLED BY US BUT SOMEONE ELSE. ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. ACCORDING TO OUR SCANNER CODES, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE CUSTOMER DECLINED THE PURCHASE OF A CATALYTIC AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE. AS A COURTESY,OUR TECHNICIAN CLEARED THE CHECK ENGINE CODE. OUR MANAGER SAID SHE WAS SATISFIED. HOWEVER, SHE CALLED LATER THAT DAY STATING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. WE ARE SORRY FOR VEHICLE PROBLEMS BUT WE FEEL WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING WE CAN. THE LAST TWO INSPECTIONS WERE DONE AT NO CHARGE EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM WITH THE PLUG WIRES WAS NOT DONE BY US.

I am unsatisfied with quality of tires, the customer service was unhelpful & employee cheated me by overcharging for labor & product costs. I purchased 4 'brand new' Touring tires from Direct Tire & was talked into putting the cost ($1000) onto a [redacted] Credit Card; the tires keep losing air & repairs were fraudulent, the mechanic said I had a nail in my tire but the patch work they claimed to have done was faulty because the tires still leak; the cost of labor for installing 4 tires was outrageous and was not specified in the receipt until I called to complain about the product which then I was told that the tires themselves cost only half of the $1000 & that the rest of the cost was for installation labor; now I am still paying off the $1000 for faulty tires that keep leaking air every month and for the overcharged labor costs. Customer service was unhelpful & misguiding, they told me things were wrong with my car that were not & wanted to 'fix' these problems for a high price, the quality of service was upsetting - more things were wrong with my car after having it inspected at Direct Tire than before ever buying the tires. After the tires were installed my alignment was thrown off & I had to return again to receive an alignment that I refused to pay for so it was done for free. I'm sure these people knew I was catching onto their fraudulence and carelessness because the mechanics left the room and went into the back office to talk & then the manager returned and acted overly nice which felt fake and fishy to me. I've gone back to Direct Tire over 4 times just because of my disappointment with these tires & the issue is still unresolved. I wish I would not have ever gone to Direct Tire or purchased a [redacted] Credit Card - it was all a trap and a scam. The mechanics are unprofessional, money-hungry crooks. Maybe they took advantage of me because I am a young naive female & don't know enough about my own car - but now I know enough to realize I'm spending way too much money for nothing. Desired SettlementI would like to return the 4 tires and be refunded 100% - all the payments I've made in the past 4-5 months for these tires on my [redacted] Credit Card - I want all that money back because the quality of the product does not match the price, and the cost of labor....really how could the cost for installing 4 tires be $400-500?? This was not specified in the receipt. I feel completely ripped off and I want ALL my money back for the labor costs of repairs, unnecessary inspections, and installation of the tires because the mechanics were careless, untrustworthy and damaged my car. My mother and I are considering suing. Business Response I spoke with [redacted] today regarding the issues with her vehicle, she will be bringing her vehicle to one of our other locations on Monday 9/23/13,for us to take a look at it and determine what is going on.--Thank [redacted]

Took my car in for a steering issue, parts replaced and came out with a hum that occurs when I turn the wheel & the car idles. Now refusing to fix it.I took my car into Direct Tire on Thursday and explained to[redacted], store manager, how when I turn my car on and back out of my parking spot, the wheel catches/sticks. I asked them to check the serpentine belt they replaced to make sure it didn't need adjusting and they told my my steering has no belt. [redacted] (shop manager) and [redacted] (mechanic) took it back and looked at it and explained that there was a leak in the high pressure power steering line and a leak in the rack and pinion. They replaced the rack and pinion and line and it fixed the tugging. Few days later while I was driving it starting making this humming noise when I would back out of a parking space and I cranked my wheel. On Monday, I took it in to another shop to look at it and they found that my lug nuts were stripped from Direct Tire (the only people who have done my tire maintenance) and my serpentine belt was extremely loose that runs my pump. I called[redacted] and told them about the noise and set up to bring my car in Wednesday. I proceeded to ask them for my old rack and pinion which they didn't have and showed them the lug nut. They ([redacted], and [redacted]) said they would fix the issue. They received 2 defective rack and pinions and the final one they said wasn't defective and put that in the car. I received my car and the noise was there and they claimed it needed to be bled out. I returned back to the shop because the noise did not go away and they replaced my power steering pump. It continued to make the noise and I was told again it needed to be bled out. I finally took it back again and they replaced it with a toyota pump and the sound is still not gone. I was told at this point it could take up to 500 miles for the noise to go away by [redacted] and [redacted]. Now the noise is there whenever the car idles and the wheel is turned. After talking to[redacted] and [redacted] at [redacted], who is the head manager to talk to about any direct tire/Mathis store, about the issue and never being called back by him but by[redacted], who[redacted] and [redacted] pass the buck off to, they are now refusing to replace or do any more work on my car that still isn't fixed. I was told they can not do anything more for my car-remind you these parts are still under warranty and my car never made noise like this prior to replacing the rack and pinion.Desired SettlementI want my car repaired with parts that are not aftermarket. I want real genuine toyota parts from the dealership not a middle man who bought it from the dealership and then sold it to the shop. All parts are under warranty and the company should be willing to fix the car because they are still under warranty and the car isn't fixed. If they will not replace it with toyota parts, then I would like to request a full refund of my bill so I can pay someone else to fix my car properly.

Crooked Direct mechanic will use a spray bottle to coat the bottom of the cv axle, valve cover and front wheel axle with motor oil. Swindler bald face lies and says that I needed a valve cover gasket. This filthy crook estimated the repair to be 500 to 800 dollars.
I took the car to another mechanic just to confirm what I saw that spineless criminal do. The honest mechanic washed the oil off of the underside of the car and pressure checked the valves to confirm that the Direct mechanic was a nasty swindler. I haven't seen a drop of oil since the car was washed three days ago.
Car never leaked a drop of oil and has very low mileage.
Never take your car to Direct Tire. They're nasty con artists and shady chiselers.","neg-1

I went to have an oil change that took 2 hours. I decline to buy new tires from them. After I left someone at that company punch a hole in my tire. I went to have an oil change that took 2 hours. The employee was asking question about my car. They said that I needed new tires. I decline to buy any new tires from them. After I left someone at that company punch a hole in my tire. When I left my tire went almost flat a block down from their place of business.Desired SettlementI am asking for no settlement because I am giving them my business anymore.Business Response Dear Sirs, [redacted], the store manager, has left voice mails to Mr. [redacted] concerning his issues. [redacted] is puzzled because the invoice of the last oil change stated in at 6:58 and out at 7:34. Also he is not knowledgeable of the tire issue. Please return [redacted]'s calls at XXX-XXXX.
