I have reviewed the response made by the
business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meExcept for the calculation of the days In addition, they claimed to not to be able to run refund to the card, but for some odd reason they could not call us back to let us know Instead we had to go to the showroom in person and ask for the ***
For future reference, please inform the sales *** a call back would have resolved this issue without having to involve a complaint to the Revdex.com. It would have been a good idea to send a written apology for not returning our calls Both of these steps may have left a good impression abd we may have recommended Directbuy to others Remember positive reviews can be be destroyed with one bad one and it is cheaper to keep a customer than get a new one.

I am rejecting this response because:The statement is not the truth this has been all what we have gotten from this company since our first dealings with them.
We are requesting a cancellation for the following reasons:The statements from this company has been full of deception and misrepresentation since the time we have dealt with this companyThese are the facts:a) We called the company on January 3, and spoke to a *** we asked to speak to a supervisor but was told that no one was available due to the holiday schedule. b) We then called again and spoke to a person named *** *** and asked to speak to the person that helped us when we signed up named *** *** or *** (can't make out the last name on this signature.)We were told that he was out sick and would not be available until the next Tuesday January 6, We then asked if we can leave him a message contact us as soon as possible and to let him know that we want to cancel our membershipWe also asked *** *** about how this would affect our cancellation agreement since the company is usually closed and will be closed on the following Monday and we were assured that if we sent in the cancellation form we would have until the next Wednesday January 7, which is three business days from Saturday to Monday and since our contract was signed after hours after pm on that Friday January 2, 2015. c) Based upon the information we were given and in accordance with the cancellation agreement we then sent the cancellation form by certified mail in accordance with the cancellation agreementWhen we mailed the form on that Monday January 6, were told by the post office that it would not go out until the next day January 7, due to the time that certified mail would go out due to the holidays, We said that this would be fine since we were assured by the conversation with *** *** that this would still be in time to meet the cancellation time of three business days (see attachments.)

In response to the complaint, I have attached the original membership agreement page, both front and back as well as the two letters we received from *** *** On the back of the agreement is the section that goes over the cancellation process It states that cancellations must be
received or postmarked within business days after the date in which the contract was signed *** *** joined on January2, which was a Friday and when we received her letter it was post marked on the Wednesday January 7th In order for the cancellation to be valid it was to be sent by Tuesday January 6, Business days are Monday-Saturday and exclude Sundays or Federal Holidays Ms*** stated in her complaint information that the problem occured on the 6th of January but if you refer to the postmark on her envelope, it was sent on the 7thWe are sorry for any confusion and would still like to help Ms*** to use her membership to it's full potential and save a lot of money We can still provide the savings that she learned about when she initially joined and would hope that we can make this work for her and her familyKind Regards,*** ***

We strive to provide an amazing member experience which includes accuracy in all that we say and do.  To avoid any confusion or misunderstandings, our receptionists are all trained to tell members calling in and inquiring about a cancellation that they are to refer to their paperwork and follow the 3 day cancellation procedure on the back. They are trained this way because, stated in the "Additional Matters" section on the back of the contract, anything said orally has no force or effect and at the end of the day the contract is what both parties have to legally follow.  We are here to service this family and would be willing to set up an orientation with Ms. [redacted] as well as offer her some travel incentives to use at her leisure on our new travel program to jump start the savings.   I know that this program will benefit Ms. [redacted] tremendously and would love to see her save a ton of money by shopping this way.

I am rejecting this response because:
I did follow the procedures for proper cancellation as set forth with the guidelines of this company. I have not received the proper attention in trying to resolve this as I was literally ignored from all my phone calls and correspondence that was sent to get them to fulfill their obligations of cancellation. I therefore am respectfully requesting that have this contract terminated immediately and my deposit $299.00 returned to me as soon as possible because I do not wish to do any business with this company Valare LLC dba Direct Buy or any of its affiliates for the previous stated reasons.
