This customer came into our location at [redacted] on a Saturday morning to pick up 1/Ton of #Stone The purchase price was $ He went to our yard to get loaded and the person loading his truck hit the bucket from the loader on the piece that runs on an angle from the back part of the truck cab down to the truck bed The customer returned to the office and informed our Customer Service Representative about what had happened He stated that he knew it was an accident Our Customer Service Representative told the customer that he would inform the Manager for that location about what happened which he did in the form of a text to the Manager shortly after the customer left The Manager called this customer and told him that we do not take responsibility for damage to customers vehicles during the loading process which is clearly stated on the signature line of the order slip which the customer did sign The statement reads "Oberfields LLC will not be responsible for damage to customer vehicles during the loading process" The customer was not satisfied with this response In the time period after this complaint was filed we have contacted the customer and put him in touch with our insurance company to assess his claim for damages to his truck This has not been completed at this time, but I will assume that his truck will be repaired by Oberfields Recognizing that every customer does not read every line of the order form and the disclaimers contained in it, Oberfields will be requiring that customers give us written authorization to load their trucks in the future
