I went with a friend to talk to Paul on wed evening about recovering his vechileI want to express how thankful and grateful we are with the help that Paul gave usMy friend is a veteran and homelessHis vechile was his homePaul and the direnzo towing and recovery went out of of they way to help him in his time of needThank god there are still people in this world that care And are willing to help people in times of needAgain I want to thank Paul and direnzo towing for helping a veteran in his time of need I would recommend anyone to call them if need that type of serviceIn my opinion this is a great business and wonderful peopleAgain thank you Paul from the bottom of my heart

On a December 1,2014 I was involved in a car accident. The towing comany chosen by the police dept.was Direnzo Towing & Recovery. It took several weeks for the police dept. to fill out and send a police report, so the insurance co. could not access damages for nearly three weeks as a result.I was told the vehicle would remain in storage at this company's site. The towing company claimed they removed the fluids from the vehicle when it was apparent the fire dept. had removed fluids minus the gas. When I went to the lot in the [redacted] location(they have 2 locations)to remove the gas from the tank after getting permission to remove it by the lot manager after showing identification. To his and my surprise the gas had been (a whole tank full) removed. Not only that, but the towing company charged [redacted] for removing MY GAS which included charges such as [redacted] for pans to collect the fluids, [redacted] for disposable [redacted] for an absorbent [redacted] for a bay in which to remove fluids and [redacted] for an accident scene environmental cleanup they didn't need to do according to the [redacted] Director, [redacted] in [redacted] (tel. # XXX-XXX-XXXX). They also charged [redacted] for a Response Van @a two hr.min. charge which was not necessary and not visible to me and certainly not necessary according to the EPA director as well. The only ones seen cleaning up anything were the fire dept. The total for these services were [redacted] The total cost to tow and store the vehicle plus these other exorbitant and unescesssary charges was [redacted] They are gouging, padding and doing unecessary procedures. This is an insurance scam that I'm told noone will address in this state. The funds to pay this bill came out of my mother's retirement funds because I'm on disability. The liability for the accident will be shared, so she will only get half her savings back when in fact they are obviously fraudulent charges.Product_Or_Service: towing,storage, fuel removalDesired SettlementWould like this company to return full tank of gas, or the price of 1 tank of gas.They actually stole it. Also would like the owner to fully explain and justify the aforementioned charges regarding fluid removal and disposal of fluids when not legally required. Tried calling the owner and he will not reply. I would like to have them thoroughly investigated based on conversations with insurance company representatives who admitted the state allows this fraud to continue. The [redacted]agrees.Business Response On [redacted] 2014 Mr. [redacted] was involved in a 2 car motor vehicle accident at [redacted] and [redacted] in [redacted] The 2007 [redacted] fusion sustained front end damage from the accident. The vehicle was leaking antifreeze and power steering fluid onto the roadway.The [redacted] Police Department requested an immediate tow. [redacted] Towing responded to tow the car and remove the fluids from the roadway. The leaking car was brought to our environmental bay for removal of the remaining leaking fluids, coolant, brake fluid & Freon. At no time did [redacted]'s remove gasoline from this vehicle.Common sense alone explains why coolant and oil cannot be left in the roadway. The obvious hazard to motorists and the effect on the environment. Leaking vehicles cannot be allowed to continue to leak in storage. When common sense alone does not suffice the [redacted] does and they specifically refer to this as an "Illicit Discharge". The [redacted] also states " Pollutant levels from these illicit discharges have been shown in [redacted] studies to be high enough to significantlydegrade receiving water quality and threaten aquatic , wildlife, and human health". I have included the [redacted] Stormwater Fact Sheet 2.5 and [redacted] fact sheet, [redacted] 2013, for your information.[redacted]'s charged appropriately and followed good business standards. Owning, maintaining, equipping and staffing for response to accidents and following [redacted] guidelines in regards to illicit discharge and proper disposal are costly.We have communicated with this party and assured them that these are usual and customary charges when spills and leakage are involved in an accident. This party continues to disagree, accuse and threaten. We continue to provide outstanding, fast, professional response to the various Police agencies who have vetted our company for proper insurance, equipment and staffing. No one appreciates more than [redacted]'s that accidents can result in stress, expense and loss. We are committed to clear accidents quickly and protect the environment as required.

Being charged for environmental remedial services and towing / storage fees On Sept 29 my wife was trying to avoid an accident and struck a parked vehicle along the side of a 4 lane highway In front of Direnzo towing . ( the vehicle belongs to the tow co )After looking @ my car that afternoon I asked for the bill and was told it wasn't ready ,I said "I will call and pick it up tomorrow or give it to you for the scrap yard " When I called the 30th still no bill. My wife called on the 31st and was told "bring $100 and the title and get your stuff " so when she arrived with a friend a man said " that wasn't the correct info you have to satisfy an environmental bill " ( we could have at least gotten the tow portion taken care of because it was $90 and they would have junked the car ) after calling for two more days to speak with the right man he told to call a certain woman for the figures . On sat. the 3rd of aug I finally got the numbers for the incedent $1900.00 and climbing ..They removed the fluids and needed a environmental bay, disposable pans, 50 lbs of speedy dry,3hrs for a mechanic , 2 hrs for a response van, drum fees ect. After speaking with the trooper that was on the scene I was told there was "minimal anti freeze cleaned up at best " I had a Quote from a local ford dealer that could drain all my fluids and refill them with new filters for 400 and they must treat there waste the same as direnzo ! As a heavy equipment mechanic for the past 30 yrs I have never heard of this. I spoke with the D.E.P , E.P.A., The millbury fire dept , the Dept. of public utilities, and the dept of standard, no one can believe or understand the charges. I have tried to contact the owner on aug.20 and still don't have a response Desired SettlementI will pay the 90 for the tow and give them the title because no bill was ready for two day and my wife was there on the third day to pay... the other charges I will not pay for .. the accident would have not happened if they didn't park their vehicles on the side of a 4 lane highway.. and no state or local agency says they have to drain my fluids while I am waiting for a bill Business Response I HAVE RESPONDED TO EACH COMMENT IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. They removed the fluids and needed a environmental bay, disposable pans, 50 lbs of speedy dry,3hrs for a mechanic , 2 hrs for a response van, drum fees ect. After speaking with the trooper that was on the scene I was told there was "minimal anti freeze cleaned up at best " THERE WAS ALOT OF FLUIDS SPILT, THE ENTIRE FORNT OF THE VEHICLE INTO THE ENGINE WAS DEMOLOISHED FROM THE IMPACT I had a Quote from a local ford dealer that could drain all my fluids and refill them with new filters for 400 and they must treat there waste the same as direnzo ! WE HAD TO PERFORM ENVIROMENTAL SERVICES SO THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT LEAK WHEN STORED, IN ADDITION, A RESPONSE VAN IS CALLED OUT TO SCENE WITH A 2 HOUR MINIMUM TO CLEAN THE SCENE. WE ARE REQUIRED UNDER LAW TO CLEAN UP ALL ACCIDENT SCENES THAT WE ATTEND AND CALLED TO. WE WERE CALLED TO CLEAN THE SCENE AND REMOVE THE VEHICLE BY THE MASSACHUSETTS STATE POLICE. As a heavy equipment mechanic for the past 30 yrs I have never heard of this. I spoke with the D.E.P , E.P.A., The millbury fire dept , the Dept. of public utilities, and the dept of standard, no one can believe or understand the charges. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED 20 FEET OFF SHOULDER OF ROADWAY. IF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PARKED WHERE IT WAS, THE RATE OF SPEED THE CAR WAS TRAVELING, IT POSSIBLY COULD HAVE RESULTED IN DRIVING THROUGH THE SMALL FENCE AND ENTERING INTO OUR BUILDING AND CAUSING PHYSICAL HARM TO EMPLOYEES. THE ** WAS STANDING WITHIN 30 FEET OF IMPACT AREA WHEN THE VEHICLE DROVE OFF THE ROAD... and no state or local agency says they have to drain my fluids while I am waiting for a bill Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Yes I have spoken with various people in the office ,On the 31st of July my wife was INSTRUCTED to come there with 100 and the title ,after getting a ride to millbury she was told the info she got on the phone was incorrect . I was INSTRUCTED to call [redacted] and did so right after talking to the manager ( cell phone record shows [redacted] cell # then an immediate call to his office to speak with [redacted] ) There was two people in direnzos office the day of the accident when I was there saying after they know what the tow cost I could get it with a ramp truck ...No I am not paying thousands of dollars for this accident @ the top of their drive way . Co- operation would have been taking the tow money on the day they INSTRUCTED US TO COME THERE and that would have ended the tow and storage Final Business Response On September 23, 2013, the consumer provided the following information:(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] is correct the date was 7-29. ** spoke with me on fri. aug.2nd after I called his office looking for a bill , while he was looking for it my cell lost signal ( not a hang up ) Sat. [redacted] called me from his cell with no bill info and was told to call[redacted] @ his office. CUSTOMER NEVER CALLED [redacted] AS INSTRUCTED. [redacted] WAS NOT AT THE OFFICE DUE TO WEEKEND BUT RETURNED CALL TO CUSTOMER BECAUSE OF MESSAGE DEMANDING HE TALK WITH A [redacted] My two cell phones and home phone show no phone calls from this co. but numerous calls outgoing to them. Again the vehicle was never touched for two days so it doesn't appear to have been a threat. THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN THE ENVIROMENTAL BAY WITH CATCH PANS UNDER THE VEHICLE TO STOP IT FROM SPILLING ONTO THE GROUND. I had my ramp truck ready to pick it up on tues the 30th but was told NO BILL YET THE MACHANIC HASNT EVEN LOOKED AT IT . CUSTOMER NEVER MENTIONED PICKING IT UP, NEVER MENTIONED A RAMP TRUCK, HE ONLY MENTIONED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS, AND HE DIDNT HAVE INSURANCE COVERAGE ON THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIRS TO IT, HE WANTED TO SIGN OVER TITLE TO VEHICLE INSTEAD OF PAYING FULL BILL. That statement should have made me think something was wrong . Not having the plate to cancel my ins. is costing me money .... I have spent many hours with other tow co.s and officials from the commonwealth that have interesting points regarding this invoice.( not mentioning the co by name ) .I just would like my plate and go away .. I will send them $100.00 and the title only because when I went there on mon the 29th to look @ it I told the lady in the office I had the ability to pick it up with my ramp truck ... now I have payed two months ins. CUSTOMER HAS ONLY EVER TOLD OF WANTING TO SIGN OVER VEHICLE WITH TITLE AND NOT PAY ANY STORAGE, ENVIROMANTAL OR TOW BILLS. WE HAEV TRIED TO CO-OPERATE AT EVERY TURN WITH TEH CUSTOMER. THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT WANT TO PAY THE TOW, STORAGE OR ENVIROMENTAL CHARGES.

Unauthorized service was made to my vehicle when it was only supposed to be stored at the facility for $35/day.My car was involved in an accident and was towed by the police using direnzo's company as I was not given a choice to use my roadside assistance. I was told it was! 35/day to store the car until the adjuster could look at it. When I called to tell them I would have the car towed to my house I was informed that they had removed fluids from my car and I had a bill of $821.00. The person I was speaking to over the phone was extremely rude to me when I questioned the charge. I never gave anyone permission to do any service to my car nor was I notified that any work had to be done for the vehicle to stay there.Desired SettlementI am requesting a deduction in the bill to the agreed upon storage fee.
