The truck has been rebuilt and is being returned to the customer today. These trucks have a longer time span to rebuild the transmission.

Review: I called Discount Brake getting an estimate for an issue with my car. I told them that I couldn't drive the car because it wouldn't start. [redacted] told me that they do have towing but it would run about 60 to 80 dollars. I told him I couldn't afford that. He then said you know what, since it's monday and raining, I'll waive the tow fee for you and we'll check the car out. I proceeded to say yes to come tow the car and take to the shop to get it looked at. When [redacted] called me to tell me how much it was to repair my car, I told him I didn't have that much money and I needed to come and get the car to take it back home. He threatened that if I don't pay the tow fee he will keep my car. He proceeded to try to get me to let him work on my car even when I said I didn't have the funds and then he said I owe him 92 dollars for the tow fee. I then told him you told me the tow fee was waived and he claimed that he told me he would waive it only if I got work done with him. I told him he never stated that I needed work done he was just going to look at it. I then mentioned to him that on his website, which I have a picture of, he has a coupon offerred on the website that says FREE TOW. It doesn't have exlusions listed on the coupon which indicates to me that it is false advertising.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded my 92 dollars for the false print, and verbal advertising.

Review: We took my 2002 Isuzu Axiom in on April 16, 2014 for transmission repairs and paid $2250.00 on the 18th of April . The car was returned to us on April 23, 2014 and when driven the transmission was still slipping and leaking oil. We returned it on April 25, 2014 to have the issue repaired under warranty. We call daily and talk to [redacted] who claims that they are still waiting for parts and when asked when it is going to be ready he says he doesn't know and will not return our phone calls. We called [redacted] to try and resolve the issue when they refered us to you . It has been over a month since we seen the car itself. No idea where the car is at this time and we are not receiving answers.Desired Settlement: We would like either our car fixed and returned or the money back and the vehicle so we can repair it somewhere else.

Since they have two (2) of their websites on here, I will re-post my complaints, twice.

Do NOT purchase the Super Planet Saver promo card, (3 oil change for around $23), from this place. Though, I paid for it in advanced, they will not provide additional "free" service for your car. They had burned their bridges with me. (This was not the first time but 2nd time it happened to me. The first time, I had an argument with [redacted] then he finally backed down when I showed him the tire rotation that another place performed on my car. He lied before and I can't believe he did not learn how to stop lying, again! Now, I do not give any mechanic the benefit of the doubt.The 2nd time turned into a nightmare while I was on a road trip. I learned the hard way. NO more!!!) Don't pay attention to these other reviewers who are probably their best buddies. Their manager and owner, [redacted] totally ignored my complaint letter. I made a complaint to Super Planet Saver and they did a great job assisting me. [redacted]. from Super Planet Saver compensated me and I will take my business someplace else. The post (on yelp) below me is correct about this place. He should consider himself fortunate for not getting too deep with these guys. [redacted] would rather pay 5 or 10 times the attorney's fees than to compensate me. Currently, they have a file at the State Attorney's office and have a small claims case in court. (It is waiting for a REAL JUDGE to be reviewed). 4/16 - BTW, my friend, witness and translator at court could speak English just fine...and he did NOT go to these guys looking for work. [redacted], the manger lied about my friend at court. My friend was NEVER a mechanic. So, why would he tried to work at an auto repair place??? Does he look like a Chicano mechanic? Are these people racists? [redacted] lied to him in our faces at court! Plus, [redacted] said he and the [redacted] on [redacted], laughed about my complaints. These people should be ashamed of themselves! They should stop slandering my friend and witness (an ex-customer)! [redacted], the manger, knows exactly who he is. The woman, they brought to court was QUESTIONABLE, however. I had NEVER met the woman in all of my life and her name was nowhere in any document/letter. But all of a sudden she came in to do most of the talking??? The real judge needs to hear about this. Not once had this "peace officer" asked about her relation to this case. The inexperienced PO believed in these people's (who are being sued) words of mouth. She knows for a fact and after learning everything about these people, she would not personally bring her car into their shop. Yet, she made a judgment in favor of them. It is what I call hypocrisy. My point is, these people have no credibility. Do you want to trust and believe in a mechanic shop that has no integrity or character to work on your car or your loved ones' car??? They lied before, during (after being sworn in an oath) and after court. I hope you will rethink before taking your car into their shop. They target and will try to fool certain customers, if you know what I mean? Please check out the [redacted] in Phoenix. These people laugh at customers' complaints. Everything I wrote about these people came straight out of [redacted]'s or [redacted]'s mouth and/or their action or lack of action. (They have a way of manipulating others by using words thus the PO who believed them when they have no proof of document or hard evidence. Their invoice/receipt extremely lacks the terms and condition at well.) If you are unsatisfied, you do not get your money back. You need to fight for it back at this place.

Review: I had a metallic clanking noise coming from underneath my vehicle accompanied by a loud humming/whining noise and I looked over it and realized that it was an issue with either the u joints or the rear differential. So I called the business in question and they told me that they could have the u joints replaced within an hour of bringing my truck in. So I took my truck in and went about my day. I returned to their shop two hours later and nothing had been done to fix my vehicle.

When I asked them about this issue they told me that the u-joints in my truck were bad, which explained the metallic clanking noise, and this is what I already knew, and asked the business to fix, which they had not to that point, and that the wheel bearings were bad on my truck, which was an explanation of the humming/whining noise. When I was demonstrated the "play" in the tires to illustrate that my wheel bearings were bad, I was shown the driver side front tire, and told that the passenger side was even worse, but never shown the passenger side tire. I was quoted a total of 918 dollars for the repairs to this.

So, like any good consumer, I took my truck to get looked at for a second opinion. During the evaluation of my vehicle from this second, certified mechanic, I was shown and told that the u joints were bad, which again I already knew. When he examined the wheel bearings he showed me that they were fine and in good condition(contrary to what the professionals at [redacted] said) and that the "play" in the driver side tire was exaggerated when I was first shown it, and there was nothing wrong with the passenger side tire. We also discovered that the humming/whining noise was coming from the driveshaft of my vehicle, and not anywhere near the front tires where the wheel bearings sit.

So in summation, I realized there was a problem on my vehicle, called this company and got a quote to fix this problem, gave them my vehicle for approximately three hours, received none of the repairs that I was quoted on fixing, got lied to about mechanical problems existing in the vehicle to drive up the cost of repairs, while they simultaneously ignored the actual problem, that would have led to more cost in repairs. Had they simply quoted me for a new drive shaft on the vehicle, I would have fixed the u joints and drive shaft at the same time, because this replacement part comes fully built. So instead, they quoted to replace my u joints, which would have had to been replaced a second time, if I took the vehicle in for additional repairs.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to replace the driveshaft in my vehicle, at a highly discounted rate. But, I would settle for an apology
