The 2000 Honda was towed to the shop for no start. We then charged battery the vehicle starts and ran- further check and found alternator was not charging.
When then advise [redacted] necessary to replace alternator and also advise price. [redacted] authorized repairs. After replacing alternator...

vehicle ran, alternator was charging 13.9. The customer came picked up vehicle. She then called 2 days later and said all the lights on dash board light up intermittingly. We advise her return to the repair shop-at that time could not duplicate light problem. Test drove vehicle with customer and still could not find light problem.
She then took vehicle and called and said lights were on -we told her to come back. When she came back she said remove the positive battery terminal- we then removed it in front of customer-we asked customer why she wanted us to remove the battery terminal she stated that she wanted to know if the alternator was bad.
We then reconnected the battery terminal and re-checked the charging system gave her a print out from a MIDTRONICS Charging System tester supplied by interstate showing 13.9.
She wanted us to replace alternator again which we did in front of customer that afternoon. Again unable to trace any lights on dash board.
A day later her mechanic called and said the second alternator was bad. We told him to check the battery. He then said he was going to put a new battery.
The alternators we put was not bad because she was able to drive the car for weeks. If she had additional problems we could not know because when the car came it did not run. Every time she came back the car was running.

Review: On December [redacted] 2014 I sent the following certified letter to Discount Brakes and Tires:

On Thursday December *, 2014 at approximately 6:55 a.m., I submitted my vehicle to Discount Brakes & Tires, [redacted]., for the following repair: flat tire rear driver’s side.

On Thursday December *, 2014 at approximately 1:15 pm, I took back the vehicle and paid the bill. However at approximately 2:30 p.m. on that same day, the vehicle broke down the following way: As I began driving back to work, I heard a cyclical noise that sounded like rumbling coming from the front passenger side wheel. The noise would increase or disappear when I would increase speed and diminish when I would sometimes turn. When I pulled over I noticed there was one lug nut missing from all four tires and on the front passenger side wheel, the stud was broken off. The wheel stud fell into the rotor hat and got stuck inside the rotor vents. The stud damaged the right front hub and bearing assembly.

The vehicle’s current condition is a direct result of your company’s failure to completely fix the original issue, coupled with further negligence in failing to warn me of any issues that may cause harm with the vehicle prior to releasing it.

As such, demand for $917.69 and $272.25 is hereby made. This amount should reasonably cover the damage to the vehicle in whole and repayment for the work that was not completed correctly. If this amount is not paid by Monday December **, 2014, I will consider pursing this action in Court for breach of contract and negligence and contacting the Revdex.com.

You can call me at [redacted] during the day during the week to facilitate payment.

It is Friday March **, 2015 and I have yet to hear from Discount Brakes and Tires. As a result, I have a small claims court date set for March [redacted] 2015.Desired Settlement: The demand settlement of $917.69 and $272.25 for negligence and the willful non-quality repair. If paid in full I will drop the small claims court action.

Review: ON MAY **,2014 MY 2000 HONDA ODYESSEY-EX BROKE DOWN ON THE PARKWAY AND WAS TOWED TO DISCOUNT BRAKES & TIRES AT [redacted] ON MAY **,2014 THE [redacted] INFORMED ME THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR THE COST WILL BE $500.00 DOLLARS. MAY **,2014 PICK UP MY VAN AT 5:00PM ON MY WAY HOME LIGHTS INDICTOR CAME ON MY DASHBOARD INCLUDED BATTERIES LIGHT, BRAKE LIGHT & DOORS LIGHTS. CALL [redacted] RETURNED BACK ON MAY **, 2014 HE SAID THEY ARE NO PROBLEM WITH THE VAN. ON MAY [redacted] I TOOK THE VAN BACK TO HIS GARAGE FOR THE THIRD TIME AND HE DID REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR, I PICKED UP MY VAN AT 5:30PM WHILE DRIVEING HOME WHICH IS ABOUT THREE MILES THE SAME LIGHTS WERE ON AGAIN. I CALLED [redacted] HE SAID TAKE MY VAN TO ANOTHER MECHANIC. I THEN TOOK MY VAN TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP "[redacted]. THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT FULLY CHANGES. I HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AGAIN WHICH COST ME ANOTHER $250.00 DOLLARS, I ALSO, LOST TIME FROM WORK.Desired Settlement: A REFUND OF MY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARD SINCE THE ALTERNATOR WAS DEFFECTIVE ITEM.
