Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: You nailed that on the head corrosion takes timeYou would have seen this but you did not mention it one timeIn fact if you were to fix the shutter the corrosion would have made it happen again therefore wasting my moneyOr how about the fact is in more damage nowWhen I sent it it did in deed turn onIt read error messageNow it won't accept any battery for powerAnd you don't know about serial number is in acceptableThere should be no reason for it not to be the same number on the plate as was sent inNot to mention I really don't believe a word out of your mouth since you would not respond to my dozen contact attempts and took you weeks to return after I said to send it back and paid shipping immediatelyThis whole thing is sketchy and not very professional Sincerely, [redacted]

The customers camera was returned in the same condition in which it was receivedIt's my belief the customer is trying fast one and get the camera repaired for free or replaced at my costNo additional damage was done to her camera by me AND the camera returned to her was the same camera received, serial numbers not withstanding

I received Mr***'s camera at the beginning of July for repairUpon further research, I found that parts were not available for this model and informed Mr*** of the situation and agreed to return the camera unrepairedSoon
after this conversation, I ended up in the hospital for a month and a half and could not follow through on my obligationsSince my release from the hospital, I have been in touch with Mr***, the camera has been returned and should be in his possession by now

I recently received my camera and it is in the same condition that I sent it in as agreed uponI wish to close this case

The camera was damaged before it was sent to me for repairCorrosion takes quite awhile to accumulate and the broken aperture mechanism was not noticed in the disassembly to assess the damage to the cameraIt was not necessary to completely disassemble the camera to see that the repair would require more than just a shutterThe shutter itself was mangled with broken and jagged edgesThis, in turn, damaged the image sensorThe camera had screws that were stripped out by someone trying to disassemble it, without the right tools and knowledge of what a camera repair entails, prior to sending it to meAll in all, the camera was in bad shape when it arrived. Inoperable and in need of major repairs. l The serial number discrepancy, however, is something I don't know aboutThe camera returned is the same camera I received for repair

Now there is absolutely no power connection. Every number in the serial number is also changed.

The customers camera was returned in the same condition in which it was received. It's my belief the customer is trying fast one and get the camera repaired for free or replaced at my cost. The customers camera had more damage than was originally presented in an email regarding repair of the camera. The customer originally state the camera needed a new shutter when in fact it needed a new image sensor filter. At this point, I discontinued looking for additional problems and...

contacted the customer with the findings. This is a complicated and expensive repair, which the customer declined. As for the discrepancy in the cameras serial number, it is the same serial number that came with the camera. No parts were interchanged as there were no other Nikon D7000's in for repair at the time her camera was in my possession. Any additional damage to the camera was a result of the customers use or misuse.

I am rejecting this response because:
You nailed that on the head corrosion takes time. You would have seen this but you did not mention it one time. In fact if you were to fix the shutter the corrosion would have made it happen again therefore wasting my money. Or how about the fact is in more damage now. When I sent it it did in deed turn on. It read error message. Now it won't accept any battery for power. And you don't know about serial number is in acceptable. There should be no reason for it not to be the same number on the plate as was sent in. Not to mention I really don't believe a word out of your mouth since you would not respond to my 2 dozen contact attempts and took you 2 weeks to return after I said to send it back and paid shipping immediately. This whole thing is sketchy and not very professional.
