This customer initially call and said had a fire in carShe had the fire department discount the hybrid batteries. She said nothing about smoke under dashWe thought problem with hybrid batteriesCall The *** dealer, ***Hybrid warrantied till 120,milesAdvised they should have
vehicle taken to *** dealer to be inspected also to call their insurance to put in a claimThe customer purchased the vehicle with a Maine State vehicle Inspection only warrantyI advised her that these items should be a warranty claim through *** if the batteries or through her insuranceI told them that if insurance didn't cover tow to advise me cost and I would help with cost but they needed to follow proper steps first because the tow is not anything on my Inspection warranty but I would help with customer good will.The car was taken to *** and it was determined that there was a" junction block" under dash that wire or wires short circuited which cause smoke and possible fire*** *** said they would not cover claimI spoke to my insurance company so I could give them proper adviseI walked her husband through step by step what needed to be done.Needed to get a "decline letter" from her insurance.Contact Bureau of Consumer InsuranceI *** the phone number and gave to him.They would send him a Complaint form that needed to be returned completed.The Insurance Commission would give *** *** days to pay before action was taken against ***.My insurance company said that this claim was always paidOnly exception is *** who has their own contracts ,different then rest of companies. I had told the customer that I would help out of" customer good will" up to $This is what their deductible is through their insuranceIt is awful that this happened, but if they had hit a tree days after buying would I be responsible for that too? This is why you buy car insuranceUnforeseen things happenAt this point I see my time researching them,what to do was wastedI have to question why I offered the good will to pay their deductibleIt was not appreciated

Some how I messed up my claim, I didn't want to close it out, I'm trying to prove my case, *** is lieing, I have witnesses who was there when I called him & told him the car was smoking, he told me to have the car towed to ***, he never said anything about paying my insurance dectiable, the fire department is the one that unhooked the batteries for safety reasonsI have plenty of witnesses that where there every time I called ***, *** himself even called *** to set it up for me to call themRegards,
