Company states that they have spoken with the consumer times in regards to the issues, they advised that the issues are not in regards to the plumbing that they didThe company had a master plumber inspect their work and said it did pass

Company states that they have spoken with the consumer 6 times in regards to the issues, they advised that the issues are not in regards to the plumbing that they did. The company had a master plumber inspect their work and said it did pass.

Review: on 10-23-14 I hired Discount Drain & sewer cleaning to snake out my drain from the laundry sink, the man came out, and used a 4 1/2 in auger in my 4 1/2 in drain, his auger would not go thru , I was then told that , because the auger would not go thru, the pipe in the basement, floor was broken,and in need of rrplacement they would need to break open up the basement floor , and replace the broken pipe. the total cost to me would be $1,400 dollars. I asked how could that happen, he replied, shifting . because my floor and walls were not broken or shifted . I had some doubt, and replied that I would have to think about it. I paid them $90.00 for not fixing it. The next day I called another plumber, he came out, and used a smaller auger, it opened the blockage and cleared the drain, he explained that a 4 1/2 inch auger, would not have been able to go around the bend in the 4 1/2 inch pipe. I paid Him $90.00, because he did fix the problem. I feel that Discount Drain & sewer Cleaner was trying to take advantage of me, and make a lot of money , on a situation that I needed fixed.I feel that being a woman alone(widow on a fixed income) that they were trying to take advanatage of my in experience., I called Rick the next business day, and when I asked him for a refund, he hung up on me, I called him back and hesaid that he could not be bothered with me., and hung up again. If I am not able to receive a refund, I would like to warn other people about this companys dishonest practices.Desired Settlement: Refund, and warning to other customers

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I do feel it is hard to talk to someone who hangs up on you, and also to confirm the return of my money via a ripped up check, no mater what he tried to explain, the pipe was not cracked, and the basement did not have to be torn up as evidence by the , other plummer, and the working drain, I accept , but now need to wait to see if he ever cashes my check""""

My experience with Discount Drain & Sewer was very satisfactory. [redacted] the owner, came promptly, explained what needed to be done, showed me the issues on video and cleaned up when the job was finished. We have a long lateral that has not been augured in sixty years. [redacted] scoped and augered, selected and managed the competent subcontractor who replaced over fifty feet of broken clay tile with PVC[redacted] works efficiently and at a fast pace. He is courteous, and his bill was reasonable.

This guy is a ripped off. He told me the price over the phone was $150. At the end of the service he charged me $310 and did not even leave a receipt on what kind of work he did. I called him to discuss why he charged so much for the clog-up but he didn't want to talk to me. His wife said he will call me back but he never did. I would never recommend this business for anyone. Go somewhere else.

Review: Our problem goes well beyond simple damages resulting from attempted repair. They first off refused to repair most damages resulting from repairs as they stated it was not covered by insurance so therefore we would have to cover the cost of supplies and labor for the repair. Next, they continuously smoked in our property while completing the work which was in the presence of pressurized gas on several occasions (broken gas lines). This behavior is not allowed in our properties and at no time were we asked if such behavior was acceptable. Even after being warned twice by the contractor the employees and owner of said company continued to smoke in and around property. Also, there was warning that water would be have to be turned off for a period of time, however there was an incident in which the gas was turned off without notice for an entire evening, which happened to be a night in which the temperature dropped to freezing. Finally, the tenant was told to remove items from the basement for repairs to be completed but her washer and dryer were allowed to remain. Because of this the tenant continued to utilize it for cleaning her clothes. The employees of this company took it upon themselves to use tenants laundry to cover open pipes as well as use a t-shirt in a hole that was to be covered with cement. In addition to all of these atrocities, we lost the tenants residing in one property secondary to the length of time it took to complete said repairs (longer than the estimated 15 days), another tenant is looking to move secondary to the disrespect of her personal property and space , and finally there are young children residing in the property to which great harm could've been caused.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment (minus excess of insurance deductible) for extra repairs, finish repairs including any extra repairs resulting from damages, equivalent of 1 months rent from involved properties ($1560 total) for suffering of tenants in process.

[redacted] states that Diggers Hotline mismarked the gas line, that's why it was hit when business was excavating. Digger's Hotline turned the gas off, not the business. Business states that a "restoration guy" is helping with the consumer now. Insurance has paid for the job.
