Review: On October 30th, 2013 I visited Discount Mattress. I spoke with the manager. I told him I wanted to purchase a brand new mattress set. He sold me a [redacted] Posturepedic, a futon and 2 pillows. I was financed by [redacted]. The total amount was $537.00 I paid $49.00 down The items were supposed to have been delivered later in the evening, but the delivery person phoned and said he was unaware I lived soo far and he could not make it. He said he did not want to show up at my door at 9:00 pm He said he would try and make my delivery his first. He attempted to deliver the items the next day 10/31/2013 at 11:00 pm at night. I refused delivery, my entire family was sleeping. I visited the store on 11/01/2013 the manager said he would pay for the delivery and that it would be sent out that day. No one showed or called. on 11/2/2013 I asked for a refund and was told only the "owner" could process the refund. I visited the store again on 11/04/2013 with [redacted] and she asked the manager. about other possible delivery guys. the manager. said he would have another guy deliver the items named [redacted] for 70.00. I inquired about the warranty of the mattress. the manager. said the warranty was 5 years. I visited the store again on 11/05/2013, the owner was the only person at the store. He was very rude and short. the owner chastised me saying I should have not turned down the delivery and he normally makes customers pay for refusing delivery. I tried to explain but was cut off. On 11/5/2013 at 5:53 pm mr. * called and said he was delivering my items. I told him I would be home in the next hour. mr. * called back saying he had already delivered my items. I met him at the [redacted] on [redacted] road and paid him $70.00. Upon arriving home and inspecting the mattress and box spring, I did not see a tag or label on either The box spring had my name on it and the mattress did not. the mattress is wrapped in plastic with many wholes and tears in it with writing and s ticker that reads "Second Hand- No warranty.Desired Settlement: I financed this set through [redacted] . I would like a full refund with no penalties

Please see attached letter that was sent to [redacted] finance on Behalf of [redacted] to credit her account in good standing.

After reviewing her letter we have discovered that she is being somewhat misleading in her complaint.

[redacted] choose the mattress she purchased and had every right to inspect it.

[redacted] was informed it was a factory second and that came void of a warranty.

[redacted] actually stiffed the delivery drivers of the delivery fee and was still granted a a pass or second delivery on only one fee.

Delivery drivers are private contracters who finance there own service.

[redacted] did not return the sofa or the pillows which are included in her lease.

[redacted] is on a lease to own program and can cancel her lease after two months with [redacted].

The invoice clearly indicates that all sales are final, but Discount mattress more then willingly has accommodated her request.
