I received a notice on May 1 of a customer review. Here is the response that I submitted on May 1st in the review section: [redacted] M[redacted] contacted my in the first week of March to get an estimate for tree removal. There was a large willow that had partially collapsed in a wind storm we had the...

year prior. Part of the willow was laying in some cedar trees and 2 other sections were already on the ground. An additional section of the tree was leaning towards the house and she wanted it removed. The back yard of the owner was in kept and had not had any tye of work done at all. Buckthorn had overrun the area and we had to cut it out to get to the willow tree. The large white pine had grown through the willow and at about 50' had rubbed a section of the tree to point that was dangerous. I had advised the tree be removed as it had been weekend. The back yard consisted of a deep impression where spring run off would collect. A large amount of hazel brush and other saplings along with buckthorn had over run the area. Nick M[redacted] contacted me in the 2nd week of April and wanted the work done. At that time he told me he wanted to remove the white pine as well and to leave all the wood in a pile. He also wanted all the wood chips dumped in a pile just off the back alley where we were working. I told him we would get at the project that very week and most likely in a day or so. He said he wanted to be present for the work but he was going to Duluth the next day. I asked him when we was going to return and he said he did not know as he was going to take his time and had no idea when he was going to be in town. I said that I would get the job done when my time allowed. We did the work and Mr. M[redacted] called me and said there was additional work to be done. I went back to the house and he said that the main part of the willow was to come out. We returned the next day and did the additional work. He question the cedar tree at that time and I told him the damage to the tree was caused when the willow when it broke and fell into the cedar last year. The broken branches were done before I even arrived there. I tried to clean up the cedar by trimming the broken braches from it. I explained this to Mr M[redacted] about the broken branches, and he refused to accept my explanation. I then asked me how much experience he had with storm damaged trees tangled in to each other and he admitted he had no experience at tree cutting at all. The next day he called and said we were to haul away the logs and not leave them as we did with the pine logs. We returned the next day a hauled away the logs. To this date Mr M[redacted] has been hiding in his house when I have been by to collect payment. He doesn't answer my request for payment or answer his door. He has not attempted to contact me about any of this and his statement of non return calls is a lie. I challenge him to produce a phone bill showing calls to my number. Any call from him has been returned as I can show this on my bill. His yard is a complete mess as it is filled with old stumps, brush, garbage, old toys, etc. In such situations we are limited to our ability to clean up all debris.Submitted: 05/01/2017In addition to the above response I add the following. Mr [redacted] has trees surrounding his home that have been left to grow wild and untrimmed. In fact the entire yard is a general mess. Since my reply Mr [redacted] has submitted payment, but he has yet to contact me about any of the things that he has written here. I have always addressed any customer complaints and made them right to the best of my ability, but I need to have the customer contact me to make it right.
