[redacted] We have not heard from the [redacted] in over years but I did leave messages for [redacted] on the phone number listed on the complaint, with no responseAlthough we do appreciate [redacted] 's business, we are very disappointed in the and slanderous claims [redacted] made in the unjustified complaintWe sold [redacted] and [redacted] a Isuzu and Ford Taurus well over years agoAs was the case with the [redacted] , we sell all our vehicles With No Warranty, but we always assist our customers with repair issues if applicablemonths after purchase, we assisted the [redacted] with a repair on the Isuzu and they agreed to pay for the amount in small payments, interest freeThroughout the course of both loans, Discount Motors gave the [redacted] extensions for late payments and as always, tried to work with them in all areas of their vehicle purchasesOnce the [redacted] made the decision to stop paying for the Rodeo and stop paying and admittedly hiding the Taurus, both units were legally and justifiably repossessedIt appears the motivation for the [redacted] to wrongfully slander Discount Motors and make statements is to try and get the legal and justified repossessions removed from their credit recordsDespite [redacted] and unnecessary complaint, if [redacted] wants to contact me, I am certainly receptive to resolving any "legitimate" issuesAs always, Discount Motors will continue to be more than fair conducting good business with our 150,000+ customers sold since the mid 80's Sincerely, [redacted] General Manager

[redacted] ,We have resolved this complaint based off of my previous response to the Revdex.comIn regards to [redacted] follow up complaint, I am very disappointed in the tone and overall misinformation about Discount MotorsPreviously, [redacted] and I never agreed that Discount Motors used wrong collection issuesAll we agreed upon is that we both should have used better communication; Discount Motors and [redacted] ***! Again, refer to my previous complaint response for accurate informationAs stated previously, our intention was to mail the 2nd check back to her when it arrivedBut since I agreed to write off a balance on [redacted] account, even though I was not obligated to do so, [redacted] check was processed to a general P&L accountIt should not have been processed and their were notes written, but because it is such a rare circumstance to write off a part of a balance, our accounting department made a incorrect assumptionIf [redacted] would have called my "direct line" I gave her doing our previous complaint response, this would have been resolved immediately without the Revdex.com involvementAll of our collection practices are withing regulated guidelines and obviously [redacted] mis-spoke in the "heat of the moment"Regardless, I have had another phone conversation with [redacted] and discussed the above information, to her satisfaction and again, this issue is resolvedThere is a huge difference in making a mistake and being a bad company and there was no need for the malicious comments made by [redacted] ***Discount Motors has thousands of happy and satisfied customers and will continue to do good, fair business in North Texas Below is a email I received from [redacted] after our final telephone conversation so again, everything is resolvedThanks you [redacted] Jamie, Revdex.com complaint JAN D*** to youshow detailsThanks for calling and all has been taken care of there were NSF fees on my account that incurred but I got the bank to reverse them.I always have thought Discount Motors are great get a good car for the money and pay it off in two years is awesome.Richard at the Arlington location is always great and never any complaints until this year thanks for taking the time to resolve and that all issues with everything has been squared away and all is good. You have been great to deal with I was just extremely upset with the check issue but all resolved now thanks againThank You JanThank You,Jan ***

[redacted] ***This complaint has been resolved with [redacted] However, I would like to address a few issues in the complaint by [redacted] was informed verbally and by her signed documentation that she must have full coverage insurance at all times as part of financing with Discount Motors [redacted] also was informed verbally and by her signed documentation that the vehicle in question was being sold to her as-is, with no warrantyAs is the case with all our customers, if mechanical issues arise, we will be fair and assist customer based on the circumstancesUnfortunately, as she stated, when a obvious mechanical issue occurred, [redacted] continued driving the vehicle until it caught on fireBased on the condition of vehicle, there is no way we can repair unitIf [redacted] had the proper insurance as stated in her endorsed contract, the damages would have been coveredRegardless, our lot manager reached out to [redacted] ***s and informed her we would release her from the contract balance and not report any derogatory information to credit bureau(s) to try and show our good will in this unfortunate circumstance [redacted] seemed happy with the agreement and is considered in good standing with Discount MotorsIf I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear *** *** Discount Motors appreciates *** *** and *** *** businessHowever, we also dispute many of the statements in her complaintAt the time the complaint was filed by *** ***, *** ***, the co-buyer was the point of contact regarding repair issues on their
accountI would also like to mention that the vehicle in question was sold to *** *** / *** ***, With No Warranty and they were made aware of that at point of sale and signed several documents to that effectAfter reviewing the account, I will agree with *** ***’s statement regarding repair issues and there have been a fewHowever, the amount of times we have tried to assist *** *** & *** *** with repair issues, is no where close to times, so that is a blatant exaggeration on their partI would again like to point out, we are not obligated to assist *** *** & *** *** with repairs but we have went above and beyond to resolve the mostly “maintenance repair issues” they are havingAs far as Discount Motors behavior, we have nothing to be embarrassed about because we have been extremely professional despite *** *** cursing and threatening our lot & collection personnelI spoke to *** *** on 05/06/and although he was initially rude, we seemed to be making some gains until he abruptly hung up on me in the middle of our conversationI spoke to *** *** on 05/07/16, again, to try and resolve the real issues and address the mis-truths in their complaintI informed *** *** the repairs are not all for the same issue and they are mostly “maintenance” issues and issues that arise as used vehicles are drivenAlthough we disagreed in the end, the conversation was professional and I did inform *** *** I would try to assist with repairs on the vehicleSince our conversation ended on 05/07/16, I have reached out to *** *** three separate times to again, offer repair assistance to resolve the issues, with no responseThe lot manager and salesmen have also left messages for *** *** and *** *** regarding trying to resolve the issues, again, with no responseFinally, *** *** and *** *** both admitted to me: they have not spent "zero money" on repair issues themselves since they purchased the vehicle after months of ownership and 13,miles on the vehicle! Trading them out of the vehicle is not an option but if *** *** and *** *** still want our assistance with repair issues, Discount Motors will continue to be fair with them, just like we have with over 150,satisfied customers since the mid 80’sSincerely, *** ** *** General Manager Discount Motors

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

We appreciate [redacted] business but I am very disappointed in this false and slanderous complaint filed by [redacted]My collection personnel did contact [redacted] and addressed the bogus complaint but I also wanted to discuss the issues sincethe complaint contained many inaccurate...

and slanderous comments made by him. I did leave a voice message for [redacted]on his voicemail with no response as of yet. I am not sure if [redacted] is confused or he is intentionally misrepresenting thefacts. [redacted] initially wanted to purchase a truck when he applied at Discount Motors on 04/03/2015. [redacted] didnot qualify for the truck(s) he was interested in so he was sold a 2007 Chevy Impala that he did qualify for. Since we are short termfinancing, [redacted] was informed if he takes care of business and the vehicle, he would be eligible to trade out approximately18 months after purchase. [redacted] was never informed to come back a few months after purchase and we would trade himout or take his name off the contract. It appears [redacted] was adamant about getting a truck after his puf(;hase of the 2007Chevy Impala from Discount Motors. Apparently, [redacted] purchased a truck from a different dealership. A few months afterpurchasing from us, [redacted] contacted Discount Motors and asked if his brother could make payments on the 2007 ChevyImpala. Discount Motors informed [redacted] that was a possibility but we would need an information sheet filled out an hisbrother and applicable insurance would still be needed on the 2007 Chevy Impala. [redacted] was never informed he would beremoved from the contract; quite the contrary as a matter of fact. [redacted] was informed he would still be on the contractand responsible for his account until it was paid for and the balance reached zero. The paperwork filled out by [redacted]'sbrother was only an information sheet of who was driving the vehicle, which again was explained to [redacted]. k; far as theother account(s) [redacted] is talking about, any current or paid out accounts are handled based on their individualcircumstances, not his. His account is currently delinquent and the 2007 Chevy Impala [redacted] is responsible for wasimpounded in Oklahoma. Discount Motors is currently making arrangements to have the vehicle towed back to our facility forevaluation. Once evaluated, [redacted] will be informed by Discount Motors of the specific requirements to redeem the 2007Chevy Impala. If [redacted] refuses the redemption requirements, his account and vehicle will be processed as a repossession.Again, Discount Motors did not tell [redacted] we would at any time, remove his name from the contract or that he would notbe responsible for his account on the 2007 Chevy Impala. k; far as [redacted] other slanderous comments regarding his"research" about Discount Motors, they are false as well. Less than 0.02% of the 100,000 satisfied customers sold have ever made acomplaint regarding Discount Motors since 1984! Just because the internet gives someone latitude to make erroneous statements, does not mean they are true. Furthermore, we will consult with our attorney if [redacted] continues to make false andslanderous statements regarding the integrity of Discount Motors. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.

My apologies for our delayed response to the Revdex.com. I left my new email address for the Revdex.com as point of contact on your voice mail earlier today. In reference to [redacted]’s complaint, we feel strongly it is unjustified and without merit. Our credit department worked with [redacted]...

extensively throughout this account even though he was consistently delinquent and broke many, many commitments to pay. As a matter of fact, the customer was so severely behind with broken commitments we had to repossess the vehicle in February of 2017. As opposed to calling the entire note due, we gave [redacted] another opportunity to redeem the unit with less money than was contractually due. In return for our goodwill, [redacted] proceeded to break payment commitments to Discount Motors and become severely delinquent again. On August 19/20 we accepted a partial payment of $200.00 from [redacted] with the mandatory stipulation he must pay two payments ($350.00) the following Saturday. Unfortunately, on 8/21/17, [redacted] parked illegally somewhere and the unit was towed and impounded. Since [redacted] did not have the money to get the unit out of the pound, we paid a wrecker company $510.94 to recover the unit and bring to our storage facility. Subsequently, we informed [redacted] he would need to pay the impound fee of $510.94 and the two promised payments ($350.00) to redeem this vehicle. Since [redacted]’s total balance was still well over $2000.00 and to demonstrate our exceptional fairness, we offered to accept $1000.00 total and we would consider the account paid in full. [redacted] said he would call us back, which he never did. In summary, not only is [redacted]’s complaint false and unjustified, Discount Motors went above and beyond to work [redacted] through all of his financial difficulties and still offered a significantly reduced payoff. Although redemption of the car is not a possibility for [redacted] at this point, we chose not to report the repossession of his account to the Credit Bureau and damage his Credit Report, even though we have the right to do so. Please contact me if you would like to discuss further.   Sincerely, Jamie C. Nobles   Jamie C. Nobles General Manager

Manager, [redacted] recently confirmed again with [redacted] that he is satisfied with the action taken by Discount Motors. [redacted]

Good afternoon. I would like to apologize if a standard phone call to [redacted]' employer caused any issue for her. We feel like this complaint from [redacted] is completely unjustified and could have been resolved by [redacted] communicating with us as opposed to filing this...

complaint. This car deal would not have been approved without [redacted] on the contract, which she was well aware of and did not have to sign it. Since the beginning of the account, the [redacted]' have been consistently delinquent and as opposed to just repossessing the vehicle, we reached out to the [redacted]', husband first then [redacted], to try and resolve the issues. Only after no response from [redacted], were attempts made to contact [redacted], first via cell phone, then place of employment. [redacted] may want to check with her cell phone carrier, because every time we tried to call it a recording answers "customer unable to receive calls at this time". Only after we tried to call [redacted]' cell phone several times with no success, did we try to contact [redacted] at her place of employment. On March 27 when [redacted] finally called the location to inform us she did not want calls at her place of employment, we immediately flagged the account and it has not been called since. So again, this complaint is not warranted especially since we have worked with the [redacted]' from day one on their consistently delinquent account. I would like to reiterate we appreciate the [redacted]' business and look forward to a successful business relationship with them. We will not contact [redacted] at work in the future but the best solution for all parties involved is for the [redacted]' to make their payments ON TIME or proactively communicate with us before they become delinquent. Our goal is to get the [redacted]' their title once the unit is paid for just like over 150,000 satisfied Discount Motors customers, but they must pay on time or communicate with us if a legitimate issue arises. Sincerely, [redacted]

Although we disagree with [redacted]'s complaint and feel Discount Motors did nothing wrong, I would like to resolve the complaint. As opposed to debating the issues further, and as a measure of good will to [redacted], I informed [redacted] that I will:1) Return a check for $135.00 and a check for $90.00 to her immediately via mail to her home address.2) I will write off the remaining account balance of $247.67.3) I will consider the account paid in full.4) Vehicle title will be available for [redacted] to pick up on July 6, 2015.[redacted] confirmed she was happy with the response from Discount Motors and the complaint has been satisfactorily resolved.  I also informed [redacted] she can contact me at my office directly for any future automobile needs and that we appreciate her business.Sincerely,[redacted]

messages for [redacted] on the phone number listed on the complaint,

made in the unjustified complaint. We sold [redacted] and [redacted] a 1999 Isuzu and 2003 Ford Taurus well over 8 years ago. As was the case with the [redacted], we sell all our vehicles As-Is With No Warranty, but we always assist our customers with repair issues if applicable. 5 months after purchase, we assisted the [redacted] with a repair on the 99 Isuzu and they agreed to pay for the amount in small payments, interest free. Throughout the course of both loans, Discount Motors gave the [redacted] extensions for late payments and as always, tried to work with them in all areas of their vehicle purchases. Once the [redacted] made the decision to stop paying for the 99 Rodeo and stop paying and admittedly hiding the 2003 Taurus, both units were legally and justifiably repossessed. It appears the motivation for the [redacted] to wrongfully slander Discount Motors and make false statements is to try and get the legal and justified repossessions removed from their credit records. Despite [redacted] false and unnecessary complaint, if [redacted] wants to contact me, I am certainly receptive to resolving any "legitimate" issues. As always, Discount Motors will continue to be more than fair conducting good business with our 150,000+ customers sold since the mid 80's.  Sincerely, [redacted]General Manager

[redacted]This complaint has been resolved with [redacted]. However, I would like to address a few issues in the complaint by [redacted] was informed verbally and by her signed documentation that she must have full coverage insurance at all times as part of financing...

with Discount Motors. [redacted] also was informed verbally and by her signed documentation that the vehicle in question was being sold to her as-is, with no warranty. As is the case with all our customers, if mechanical issues arise, we will be fair and assist customer based on the circumstances. Unfortunately, as she stated, when a obvious mechanical issue occurred, [redacted] continued driving the vehicle until it caught on fire. Based on the condition of vehicle, there is no way we can repair unit. If [redacted] had the proper insurance as stated in her endorsed contract, the damages would have been covered. Regardless, our lot manager reached out to [redacted]s and informed her we would release her from the contract balance and not report any derogatory information to credit bureau(s) to try and show our good will in this unfortunate circumstance. [redacted] seemed happy with the agreement and is considered in good standing with Discount Motors. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,[redacted]

[redacted],We have resolved this complaint based off of my previous response to the Revdex.com. In regards to [redacted] follow up complaint, I am very disappointed in the tone and overall misinformation about Discount Motors. Previously, [redacted] and I never agreed that Discount Motors used wrong collection...

issues. All we agreed upon is that we both should have used better communication; Discount Motors and [redacted]! Again, refer to my previous complaint response for accurate information. As stated previously, our intention was to mail the 2nd check back to her when it arrived. But since I agreed to write off a balance on [redacted] account, even though I was not obligated to do so, [redacted] check was processed to a general P&L account. It should not have been processed and their were notes written, but because it is such a rare circumstance to write off a part of a balance, our accounting department made a incorrect assumption. If [redacted] would have called my "direct line" I gave her doing our previous complaint response, this would have been resolved immediately without the Revdex.com involvement. All of our collection practices are withing regulated guidelines and obviously [redacted] mis-spoke in the "heat of the moment". Regardless, I have had another phone conversation with [redacted] and discussed the above information, to her satisfaction and again, this issue is resolved. There is a huge difference in making a mistake and being a bad company and there was no need for the malicious comments made by [redacted]. Discount Motors has thousands of happy and satisfied customers and will continue to do good, fair business in North Texas.  Below is a email I received from [redacted] after our final telephone conversation so again, everything is resolved. Thanks you. [redacted]Jamie, Revdex.com complaint JAN D.
