Used a discount service, to list my house on MLS and other websites like Zillow: MrBill Johnson with Discount Realty Service was the Broker assigned to take care of thatBecause I dared to complain that the house was not listed, Mr Johnson became aggravated and started either ignoring my emails or responding will all caps (screaming)In his attempts to "explain" in one email he states that "Did you have a Zillow listing prior to being listed on the MLS? If so the new listing may have replaced the prior listing." admitting there was a "new listing", just to deny that he listed the house on Zillow in his next sentence "We only put the property in the MLS"He got to a point where he insulted me, based on my name I presume: "If you have difficulty reading this let me know and I’ll see if I can get and interpreter." A lying, rude, unprofessional, and insulting business owner, refusing to provide the services he was paid for

Review: I signed up to use this MLS service in order to more effectively sell my home by owner. The realtor made multiple errors in the initial documentation requiring me to re-read and correct and send additional correspondence to the realtor several times. Once my property was under contract, I engaged [redacted] to represent me as the buyer and handle the transaction and related contracts for a flat fee of $995. Every contract document that [redacted] Johnson sent to me required major re-reading and editing on my part. Once, the corrections looked like they were done with white-out and cut-and-pasted paper; it was completely unprofessional. For example, he put one of the deadline dates as "April 31" - April only has 30 days. This is one of many, many mistakes that I found and had to ask him to correct. Every document required multiple edits and resending. I didn't feel that I could trust any of the work that he produced. I spent an inordinate amount of time on this and am not sure how someone could ethically charge anyone for such sloppy work. Finally, after the transaction closed, [redacted] called to say I owed him for the buyer's share of the fee. We agreed to his representing only me for the transaction. As we started to discuss this, [redacted] hung up on me and then didn't answer my phone call when I rang back. I believe that my time and money were wasted on this unprofessional and sloppy service provider. I do not recommend him to anyone (rather, I recommend you stay away) and I would never use again.Desired Settlement: I believe that [redacted] sloppy work and unprofessional handling of my real estate transaction should be remedied by refunding my money. While I would like a full refund, I acknowledge that [redacted] did spend some time and resources working on my behalf. However, his work was so sloppy it required careful proof-reading and editing and hours of my time. I request that he refund half of the $995 to me.

Business

Response:

A seller normally pays 6% of the selling price for the services that I provided or in case of [redacted] that would have been$35,400.00. I charge a flat fee of $995. For seller and $995 for seller with the understanding that they are to help with all aspects of the sale, offer and close.

The client does exaggerate dramatically. There were a couple of errors which is why we ask the seller or buyer or both, to edit all documents for accuracy before we submit them. But the volume errors she refers to are not correct, perhaps you can you ask her to provide copies of all these purported errors?

She did ask me to also represent the buyer and to represent her as the seller and offered to pay $995 for each. I did represent the Seller and the buyer and wrote the original offer and all of the documentation on both sides from offer thru close.

I’ve attached all of the supporting documents for this sale and they show the dual representation which was representing both sides and I was not paid.
