Discount Variety

Review: On March 23, 2015 at approximately 6:30 pm my wife and myself went to the Variety Discount store looking for a bedroom dresser. We found what we were looking for at the establishment and purchased the item. After we finally got the item loaded it was getting dusk dark around 7:30 pm. While we were there we also purchased a Dyson Vacum Cleaner. My wife asked the lady there at the business if there was anything wrong with the items could we return them and she said as long as they were returned in 3 days. When we got home with the item we had to wait until the next morning because it was dark, and when we looked at the item it was broken, and in terrible shape. I immediately returned the item back to the store at approximately 10:00am on March 24, 2015 and explained to the gentleman there at the store the problem with the item. He agreed with me that the item was not worth the $140.00 I spent for it, and he unloaded the item and put it back in his store. He advised me he would have someone call me as soon as they returned to the store. I received a call at approximately 1:30 pm and was advised by the gentleman that unloaded the item this morning, that the lady that sold it to us said that they were not going to do anything about the item, and that "IT WAS MINE". I also received a call at approximately 4:05 pm from the gentleman that accepted the item back this morning, that the lady that we purchased the item from said they were going to be charging me $5.00 a day for storage until I picked up the item. I feel like we were both lied to about the return of the item. The lady that sold the item to us said that when the item left the store it was ours, and it could not be returned. I was never told anything about a return policy when we left the store.Desired Settlement: I think we should get a complete refund because we were lied to about being able to return the items within 3 days. They accepted the item back, and then said the sale was final.
