TO : WHOM IT MAY CONCERNTHIS PATICULAR CUSTOMER HAD A ROOF INSTALLED BY A PRIOR CO. IN WHICH THEY DID A VERY BAD JOB TOOK THIER MONEY AND LEFT THEM WITH LEAKS. THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THEM TO HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS ROOFERS IN GENERAL HOWEVER THEY CALLED ON US AND WE INSTALLED A NEW SHINGLED ROOF...

MAY OF 2015. LATER IN MARCH OF 2016 THE CUSTOMER INFORMED US THEY HAD TWO LEAKS SO WE WENT OUT RIGHT AWAY AND DISCOVERED THAT THE VINYL SIDING WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY AS WELL AS A DEFECTIVE FASCIA TRIM AT THE DORMER AND A MISSING GUTTER AT THE DORMER . THIS WORK IS NOT ON OUR WORK ORDER . THIS WAS THE WORKMANSHIP OF THE SIDING INSTALLER. THE CUSTOMER ASKED IF WE WOULD CHECK THINGS OUT AGAIN SO WE CAME OUT AND ADJUSTED THE VINYL SIDING (AT NO CHARGE)SO IT WOULD LAP PROPERLY AND WE CHECKED THINGS OUT AGAIN FOR THEM. THE ROOF IS IN TACT. WE THEN WAITED FOR THENEXT RAIN AND TALKED WITH THE CUSTOMER THEY SAID IT DOES NOT LEAK. THIS CUSTOMER FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON WILL NOT CALL ON THE SIDING CO. WHO INSTALLED THE SIDING AND FASCIA . WE SUGGEST THEY HAVE A GUTTER CO. REPLACE THE MISSING GUTTER AND HAVE THE SIDING CO. REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE FASCIA TRIM AT THE DORMER THAT IS BENT OUTWARD. WE STAND BY ALL OF OUR WORK AND IT IS GUARNTEED .WE ALSO LOOK FORWARD IN THE FUTURE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE B.B.B.THANKYOUSTANDARD ROOFING&SIDING CO. JON ** S[redacted] PRES.SRS.CO.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Please see the attached document for my response to Standard Roofing's incredibly dishonest reply.
I am absolutely amazed at the continued dishonesty of this company. They keep trying to blame this on the siding, but the siding was done BEFORE the roofing. I explained to them all the problems we had and they assured us they could fix it. Now, after they did the work, and after we had more leaks subsequent to them doing that work, they want to blame the siding and say it was because the existing flashing was not done properly.Well then why didn't they fix that when they put the roof on? If that was the cause of the leak, then that was the whole reason we wanted a new roof! The shingles we had were less than 10 years old and were not in bad shape. The company says that new flashing was not specifically included in the contract. Well why wasn't it? This just shows how deceptive the company is. I am not a roofer and I know almost nothing about roofing—that is why I hired a professional instead of doing it myself! I did not even know what flashing was at the time I signed that contract. All I knew is that I had multiple leaks and this company assured me that they would fix them all completely and that after they did the work in the contract we would absolutely not have any leaks. The owner assured me of this multiple times, and when I continued to press him he assured me that if there were any leaks after they did the roof, they would come back and fix them free of charge. The company's latest response also describes work that they did to fix the leak. This was on the back patio, and they did not replace the flashing correctly there, but only did a patch job. They also did not do any kind of patch on the front dormer, but only added some caulking. Keep in mind that the front dormer leaked into my living room after they initially put my new roof on, causing damage to my ceiling, which I had just had replaced after they put the roof on.Next, the company states that I had applied for a job and not been hired. This is unbelievably dishonest. When I was a seminary student, the company put an ad in the paper for a pastor. They said nothing in the ad about roofing or anything else, but only that a pastor was wanted. I went to apply for a pastor position and found that the owner just wanted a pastor to do some odd jobs for him, rather than to actually work as a pastor. He said he needed a pastor around the office to keep him more focused on God.Apparently he was struggling to remain honest in his business dealings and wanted help. I can see now why he needed that, but I told him at the time that I had no interest in doing odd jobs. I was a little irritated by the deceptiveness of the ad, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed that he had not meant it to be deceptive. At this point, I am less inclined to continue doing so.Finally, the company’s latest response said that we have no leaks. This is (temporarily) true, because they put a bunch of caulking on it. But one thing I have learned about roofing is thatcaulking is a temporary solution, rather than a permanent fix. We paid $10,000 to have a new roof put on because we wanted a long-term solution, not a short-term one. The company has admitted that they did not install the flashing properly and I have video evidence of this. Yet they continue to refuse to correct their mistake.Sincerely,[redacted]

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN : 4-21-161. THE CUSTOMER HAS EXISTING SIDEWALL FLASHINGS. THE CONTRACT STATES THE FLASHING OF A CHIMNEY ONLY. SIDEWALL FLASHINGS ARE PROTECTED BY THE SIDING AND SHINGLES AND ARE USUALLY SERVICEABLE. IF FLASHINGS ARE NOT SERVICEABLE AN ADDITIONAL WORK ORDER IS WRITTEN INCLUDING COST OF AND A SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED TO DO THE ADDITIONAL WORK. PAGE 2 OF THE CONTRACT DEFINES THIS INFORMATION. THE CONTRACT DOES NOT INCLUDE SIDEWALL FLASHINGS. FLASHINGS COME IN APPROX. 5 DIFFERENT SIZES AND EACH SIZE IS USED FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF APPLICATIONS AND DESIGNS .2. WE VISITED THE WORK SITE WHEN THE CUSTOMER CALLED AND NOTICED THE SIDING WAS NOT LAPPED PROPERLY. WE THEN REMOVED THE SIDING AND FLASHED AND ICE GUARDED THE AREA. TO HELP THE CUSTOMER THERE WAS NO CHARGE. NORMALLY, THIS BILL WOULD BE $325.00. HOWEVER, WE DID THIS AT NO CHARGE TO HELP THE CUSTOMER AVOID ANY WATER PENETRATION. PLEASE NOTE THE SIDING CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE. HOWEVER, THE SIDING CONTRACTOR DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE HELPING THE CUSTOMER SO WE HELPED. WE DID NOT INSTALL THE SIDING/FASCIA OR SOFFIT ON THIS PROJECT. HOWEVER, WE DO RECOMMEND GUTTERS TO BE INSTALLED ON THE DORMER EAVES BECAUSE THEY ARE MISSING. ALSO, THE FASCIA IS BENT ON THE DORMER ATTHE FRONT RIGHT OF THE BUILDING3. WE ARE BEING ACCUSED OF BAD MOUTHING ANOTHER ROOFER. WE HAVE MUCH MORE CLASS THAN BAD MOUTHING ANOTHER COMPANY.4. WE HAVE SENT A LETTER TO THE CUSTOMER STATING TO CALL US IF YOU HAVE A LEAK OF ANY KIND. WE ALSO CALLED THE CUSTOMER AND ASKED IF THEY HAVE ANY LEAKS NOW AND THE RESPONSE WAS NO LEAKS!5. WE UNDERSTAND THE PREVIOUS ROOFER TOOK THIER MONEY AND DID UNPROFESSIONAL WORK AND WE CAME TO DO THE JOB CORRECTLY.6. WE HAVE 16 YEARS OF GOOD STANDINGS IN THE TRADE SINCE 1999.7. WE ALSO HAVE KNOWLEDGE THAT THE CUSTOMER APPLIED FOR A JOB AT OUR COMPANY BUT WAS NOT HIRED.SINCERLYJON ** S[redacted]PRESIDENT S.R.S.CO.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First, their response does not in any way address my complaint, which is that the flashing--by their own admission--was not installed up to code. The shingle manufacturer instructions call for 10 inches of flashing (5 in each direction), and the roofers used only six inches (3 in each direction).Second, the roofer claims that the problem is that I need a gutter over the dormer. However, before getting an estimate from this roofer, I obtained an estimate from another roofer who told me that the dormer needed to be built out further to ensure that there would be no leaks. I explained this to the owner of Standard Roofing and he assured me that the other roofer was just saying that so he could charge more money, and that NO FURTHER WORK needed done on the dormers to ensure that there would be no leaks. And yet now, he is stating that a gutter needs added. Strange that he would assure me before taking the job that nothing like that needed done, but then say that the fact that this has not been done is the real cause of the leak, rather than him not using the proper flashing (which again, he openly admits to; in addition, I have video evidence that the flashing is only three inches in each direction). When I explained all of this to the owner of Standard Roofing, he assured me that he would do "whatever it takes" to make me happy regarding this issue. I told him that what it would take was for him to redo all of the flashing, since he openly admits that it was not done correctly. But then, two days later I got a letter from him stating that he would be doing no further work to correct the problem. So the flashing still has not been done correctly.

Review: I Went to Discount Zone on Monday sep 9 to get gas the sign advertise the price of 3.35 for regular gas so I put my credit card and I pumped $30 worth of gas.

When I was done I looked at the receipt and there was a different price they charged me 3.41 a gallon.

I went inside and I asked the attendant why there is a difference in the price he said if you pay cash you will get it for 3.35 and if you pay with credit car you will get it for 4.41

I asked him where does it say that credit card prices he said under neath the sign so I looked out side and there was a small sign 1 foot by 1 under the huge sign saying if you paying by credit card add 6c. This is a falls advertising sign.

He put the prices for cash without mentioning its a cash price and underneath a small sign saying add 6c for credit.

Thanks for reading.Desired Settlement: I hope that he will change the sign to the right prices or he put another sign with cash and credit.
