The following documents the situation with Mr. [redacted] but he is apsolutely correct in that he, and his group, did not receive anything close to good customer service.7/17 - The charter that the [redacted] group was booked on was cancelled due to bad weather.7/17 - Mr. [redacted] inquired about refunds...

and what was involved.7/17 - I researched the payments, all done via credit card, and found that we could not do credit card refunds as too much time had elapsed since the payments had been made.  I contacted Mr. [redacted] via email and said we would need everyone's address so that we could mail them refund checks.7/17 - Mr. [redacted] sent an email with 3 of the 6 addresses.7/20 - Mr. [redacted] sent an email with 3 remaining addresses.7/22 - The Refund Requests were emailed to our Accounting office.7/27 - Refund checks were mailed.8/07 - Mr. [redacted] emailed saying that no one had received their refund checks.8/07 - Mr. [redacted] did not receive a response.  This is not an excuse just an explanation.  On the evening of 08/06 I was admitted to the hospital where I was in ICU and unavailable for 5 days.  My staff did their best to cover things but it was a bit much for them and unfortunately some things were missed.8/12 - I received a text from Mr. [redacted] who was another member of the group saying that refunds still had not been received.  I responded that I had just confirmed the date they were mailed but was surprised at the time that had elapsed even though the checks were coming from outside.  In an effort to get them the refunds as quickly as possible I told him they could dispute the credit card charges and I would authorize my Merchant Services company to issue the refunds.  This would get them the refund in 3 days and would be handled directly by the credit card companies.Disputes have been submitted and I have authorized the refunds.Discover Alaskan Adventures prides itself on it's customer service and we have a long standing record of satisfied customers but we failed Mr. [redacted] and his party and we do sincerely apologize.Linda S[redacted]
