Discover Card

This company does a great job advertising how great its customer service is but that's where it ends. If you ever have the misfortune of having your credit information compromised or seeing erroneous or fraudulent charges on your account, you will have to go through multiple clueless reps reading from the same script over and over ("I am so sorry to hear that!" "I completely understand your frustration") while you are transferred over and over and your problems are never resolved. I spent months trying to get Discover to credit back less than $500 in fraudulent charges, for which I provided significant amounts of written evidence that the charges were wrong. Every month, Discover would apologize and agree to issue a credit and every month they would put the charges right back on the card. It was agonizing. There are so many fee-free cards and many have far better customer service and perks than Discover and their 1% cashback. My AmEx gives me free plane tickets. It isn't even a comparison. Don't put yourself in the position of being a Discover victim.
