Mr [redacted] is asking us to do something with his insurance that isn't legal.  He wants to pay our organization the cash price for medical services we are providing, and then he wants to keep the insurance reimbursements for himself.  We have asked Mr. [redacted] to forward us all insurance reimbursments, which he has not done, and asked him to sign a document saying if we provided insurance services he would turn over future insurance reimbursements to us, and he refused to sign that document. If Mr. [redacted] turns over moneys already received from his insurance, or signs the documents saying he will turn over all moneys, we could work with him.  He has not done either.  The insurance company could then say we had knowledge of 'unjust enrichment," an insurance term that says people cannont profit from insurance claims.  It is against the law and in the category of white collar fraud.Mr. [redacted] appears unwilling to move forward in a legal manner, although we have given him several chances. Brent *. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:For 6 months I have requested but not...

received the status of 11 outstanding claims.  I have clearly and rerpeatedly stated that understanding the status of those claims is essential to determining the next steps.   The suggestion of fraud by Discovery Academy was raised for the first time last week.  We have repeatedly requested that we work with Discovery to ensure no fraudulent activity has been committed. To move forward in an ethical and legal manner, we need updates on the status of 11 claims that Discovery has been processing, but for which they have not provided any updates in the past 6 months.Greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter.  At this point, to our knowledge no fraud has been committed, we are simply awaiting claim status updates from Discovery
Sincerely,

Here is my response. We have provided all diploma's and transcripts for the [redacted] family.  The hold up was that Mr. [redacted] had not completed the financial piece of his contract, and the materials were held up pending his compliance.Mr. [redacted] would say he has been compliant, but during...

the time his daughter was in our program, he wanted us to begin billing his insurance company for medical services.  This was done, but he wanted to continue to pay the cash rate instead of the insurance rate, required by law when an entity bills insurance. This would leave him in a position of "unjust enrichment" or making money off a health insurance claim.  It is against the law.To help his daughter move forward in school we have opted to provide her educational materials despite Mr. [redacted]'s failure to complete the financial provisions of the contract.  He has not turned over several thousand dollars of money received on the insurance claim. He is now asking us to continue billing the insurance company, but we can't without his agreement to be within the confines of insurance law.-- Brent *.
