Distinctive Homes of America, Inc.

The property at my address was bought in may 2014 and according to the terms of the written warranty agreements, after one year of habitation, the property had to be re-serviced by the builder to fix any defects in building or workmanship. Unfortunately the builder has failed to honor their commitment to fully address defects including those stated in the property inspection report issued by a licensed inspector ( paid by me ). The deficiencies in the building structure have been addressed partially with interruptions related to the builder's contractor health status by surgery on his arm and other personal matters; this has stretched for over 5 months and has caused a lot of inconvenience to my family. Specifically, some of the issues include: AC/Heating for which we still need to ascertain that the repair is complete and we would not experience the discomfort we did last winter; water leaks in the walls as seen by dirty water marks on the windows inside; unfinished painting and nailing.We have contacted the builder's agent on several occasions to promptly address the issues but they have either ignored our requests or have responded inadequately. One agent goes by the name of[redacted]/////Desired SettlementTo eliminate all defects including those listed in the inspection report, which has been forwarded to the builder ( Distinctive Homes of America Inc).This should be followed by a meeting with the builder's agent to review all corrections./////
