I did the online class, listened to the audio recordings, and did the practice tests and passed on the first try in 2015. Since then I've had my existing and new staff participate in the same test prep with great success (4 of us so far passed on first attempt). I don't believe earning the PHR/SPHR makes you a better HR practitioner... and I don't believe this test prep does either. But what it does for you is help you interpret the questions and understand that it's not about your personal experience in the organization(s) in which you have worked, so you can pick what the test makers consider to be the "best" answer. The goofy skits may be a bit annoying but they do help you to remember the material. He also posts questions on the distinctive HR Facebook page, which generate a fair amount of discussion and help a lot.

Please pick another study material. Items that are discussed in class are no where to be found in written material. Asking a question gets you ridiculed. He will be talking about a certain chapter but what he talks about in not anywhere in that chapter. Flash cards ask questions about things that are not in written material or discussed in class room. Very frustrating. Example - Instructor talks about GANTT and PERT. I have looked and looked but it is no were in the written material. Makes statements about topic's that are not in his field and the statements are wrong while also being offensive. Mentions never being wrong once concerning HR matters.

The materials provided had numerous typos and exam inconsistencies. I've reached out to [redacted] and to his team over five months ago and to no availI want a full refund in the amount of $331 the cost of the materials and shipping. Clearly, his materials does not live up to the standard for any teaching method as I have lost complete confidence in his work. It was extremely difficult to understand his materials and ensure that I have the correct information. It is filled with typos, errors, countless mistakes. This was supposed to be a self study program to assist in helping me pass / prepare for the SPHR exam. I've tried several times to reach out to the team via email and online contact me page to no availability on their end.Desired SettlementA FULL REFUND! I don't want any upgraded materials - but want a TANGIBLE REFUNDBusiness Response The complainant used our training materials for nine (9) months to prepare for a national certification exam. She then demanded a full refund prior to her taking the exam despite her extensive use of the cert-prep materials. Her claim was based on less than a dozen typos she found among thousands of pages of study materials that in no way affected the quality of the material content. These demands are both irrational and unreasonable. Thousands of professionals have used these same materials to prepare for and pass these certification exams. We are very proud of these materials and stand firmly behind their quality. We are sorry for her experience but the materials plainly state that once opened, they may not be returned. Her claim is akin to buying a book, then once read, demanding a full refund once she's finished with it. And, her complaint states DHR did not respond to her. That was because she used a discontinued social media site (Facebook) to reach us instead of following our instructions. Thus, we were not aware of her issues. Regardless, this complaint is illogical and bizarre. Note: Her complaint is the only complaint we have received in years... or ever!Consumer Response The person who wrote this response is extremely ignorant and who can go against ignorance. The new Facebook is not up and rolling, they rolled out a new web page that now includes their contact info and a link to a Facebook page that does not work! I have screen shots to prove this claim. DHR is mediocre as the acceptance of typo behooves me. I will provide an accurate statement copying this complaint on to all social media to include her response. This will back fire on them. They are unaware who they are dealing with. I'll make sure that everyone gets to demand their money back! I passed this exam solely based on other materials which I have purchased. I have participated in many social media chats to requests suggestion on materials. It was frustrating to read their materials and it's more frustrating dealing with low class ignorant people at DHR
