Distinctive Surfaces was great to work with and very patient with our many delays The installers were professional, clean, prepared, informative and friendly They did an amazing installation job and were very careful in a couple of sticky situations The staff at Distinctive Surfaces was helpful and offered appropriate suggestions when we realized that our originally chosen granite was not going to work with the color of the sinks They helped us choose another piece of granite and even though we were a small order- used the little crane to pull out granite pieces that they thought would look best We chose one of their suggestions and it looks amazing We are so happy with our "leathered" finish - really cool in our bathroom I will definately go back to Distinctive Surfaces for our next bathroom remodel I just completed a good review for Distinctive Surfacesbut have to amend that review My plumber finished installing the plumbing and asked why the sinks were not caulked to the counter top And sure enough- they are not Plumber says usually the granite installers do the sink install but Distictive Surfaces refused to come back and caulk the sink because "their plumber did not install the faucets etc..." So on second thought- I may not use this company again Review- part three- I am happy to reverse my negative evaluation of Distinctive SurfacesOnce a key employee learned that our drop in sinks were not caulked to the graniteDistinctive Services sent a caulking team to our house with in minutes to finish the job The caulk is drying and I am once again a happy customer This experience says more about the company's customer service than a "no issues" job- Obviously, they went the extra yard to ensure that our countertop and sinks were safe and serviceable and to provide the "above and beyond" customer service that is characteristic of a quality service oriented company
Four visits to install counter tops Wrong cuts, wrong measurements, unprepared workers The backsplash does not meet the end of the countertop in a very prominent place The manager has not been helpful in committing to correction of the problem I could not recommend this company for quality workmanship or customer service/satisfaction
They came when they said they wouldWorkers were vary accommodating and professionalI am an engineer and they exceeded my expectations They even cleaned up everything before they left even the driveway where they needed to do some refine cutting
I recently had new counters installed in my kitchen by this company I was pleasantly surprised by how courteous and efficient the installers were They took special care with the removal of old counters and installation of new They did the job more quickly than I expected and cleaned up afterwards It was indeed a pleasure to have them in my home and I would definitely use them again

We had a new countertop installed From start to finish days The process was laid out clearly The measurements taken Several days for fabrication and the installers arrived The installers removed the old countertop, disconnected plumbing, installed the new countertop (looks great), under-mount sink (looks great too), bored for the fixtures and cleaned up Next day the plumber came to install fixture and reconnect What I most appreciated was that the process was explained at the beginning and contact people were identified
