I noticed that the dealer stated that he offered to have his mechanic review however that is not what occurred. The dealer asked me to fax him the estimates that we received from Express Auto Care that were both faxed and emailed to him on Tuesday 6/14/ When I finally connected with Alex that same after afternoon, he stated that “ we were being ripped off and he wanted to review the estimates with his mechanic”. He never called back so I left a message with his employee Jennifer on Wednesday 6/15/and left a message for Alex to contact me He did not call me back so I called him later that afternoonWhen I spoke to Alex he stated that there was nothing he could do and never stated any other option other than that there was nothing he could do to resolve the issue. Thank You*** ***

Hello Ms. [redacted], I am writing to you in response to
your letter to our office dated June 20, 2016[redacted] purchased the
[redacted] on May 19, 2016. The car had no issues whatsoever. The
test drove the car; we give them the [redacted]. They bought the car with...

NO
WARRANTY from us. The car was sold AS IS. However, they purchased a 6 months
warranty through a third party. ASC Warranty service agreement no: B-[redacted].
Mr. [redacted] came back to pick up the tags and, as I do with all my customers, I
asked how is the car. He said they are so pleased with it. A couple of weeks
later, Mrs. [redacted] contacted me claiming that the AC is not working. She asked if
the warranty would cover it. I answered her that the Warranty only covers what
is on her contract. Please See attached, ASC Warranty service agreement no:
[redacted]. I faxed her the warranty and all paperwork she asked me to send as
she was at work. After that she kept sending emails stating that these emails
are a confirmation of receipt of the estimates from her mechanic. I ignored
those emails as I saw that those charges are outrageous. When she called me, I
told her that these mechanics are trying to rip her off. 3000.00 dollars to fix
an AC on [redacted] is unbelievable. I offered my help in a way that I can
refer her to one the mechanics we work with to give her another opinion and also,
if it is needed, we have a commercial account with part suppliers and franchise
dealerships to get her a discount on any parts. So her bill won't be that high.
But she was stuck to her mechanic and that hefty bill. At that point I told her
that There is nothing I can help her with. Please let me know if you need any
information from us.

Review: We purchased a used car and after test drive told owner we were concerned about the air conditioning not blowing cold air and he said if there was a problem he would correct / fix it. We took the car to a local mechanic shop - Express Auto Care and received estimates over $2,000.00 for repairs. I faxed the estimates and the issues identified to the owner of District Auto and he said there was nothing he could do. We paid $7,000.00 for this vehicle and my husband is disabled and needs a dependable vehicle. We have also contacted the VA State Consumer Agency at the Attorney General's Office hoping that the consumer rights act of 2015 will apply and we can get the car either fixed or return it to the dealer.Desired Settlement: We like the vehicle and would like it repaired to the condition it was advertised on their website - described as low miles, non-smoker, full service history, multi-point inspected, powerful strong running engine, fuel efficient, sporty handling, off road ready, fully equipped mechanically perfect, perfect exterior, perfect interior, mechanically sound, clean interior, free [redacted] report, standard warranty
