I've been a user of Smart Draw since Recently I received a file and tried to open it in my version of Smart DrawWhen I got the prompt to update my version free to be able to open the new fileI clicked on the prompt nothing happened "This file was created with a newer version of SmartDraw and can not be opened with your version.Click OK for a free upgrade" I contacted the company and after exchanging emails I got this response "Hello ?????, I apologize as that was coded into the program years ago before we had upgradesYou will need to upgrade for $to work with files created in the most recent release If you have any other questions about this or need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to email or call Thank you, Steve P Customer Support SmartDraw Software, LLC Odds are I'm not the first person to question why they prompt you for a free upgrade then tell you you have to payDon't expect much other than I did ask them to fix the issue that tells their customers the upgrade is freeAfter years I expected better from them

We had a trial period of Smart Draw software We attempted to cancel the software, and had issuesSmart Draw then instead of billing us for a monthly subscription like their website states went and billed us well over $for a yearly subscription I have been relentlessly contacting them since, they do not respond, do not care, and will not refund our moneyWe are not using the software and should not have been charged the full amount
