I am rejecting this response because:I work full time and will not be home to sign for the delivery of certified mailPicking up certified mail at my local post office will further inconvenience meOn Saturdays, the line at the Post Office in Eden Prairie generally is 1/hour longI have been inconvenienced enough already through my business dealings with this businessI request that the business mail the payment to to me by standard US mail, and that business spell my last name correctlyMy last name as listed in their computer system and on my invoice was "***," whereas my last name is spelled "***."

Very sorry we did not resolve this earlier I have requested that Caitlin contact you and arrange a full refund. Kindly,Dave ***ERIK'S Bike Board Ski

We will cancel the check and re-issue We will also send certified mail to verify receipt

After reviewing the situation we have decide to provide the requested $150 refund.  This is being processed today and will be mailed to the customer.  Thank you, Dave [redacted]@eriksbikeshop.com

[redacted] I had an extensive discussion with Mr. O[redacted]. I also inspected his bicycle myself.  The damage caused to his bicycle was not due to manufacturer defects, it was due to use and therefore was not a warranty.  I made this perfectly clear to Mr. O[redacted] but unfortunately he was...

unwilling to accept the reality of the situation.  I offered, in the spirit of customer service to cover 50% of the parts cost, 50% of the frame repair cost and 100% of the labor costs.  Mr. O[redacted] told me he would think about it; that was the last communication I hand prior to receiving this notice.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions.  Best,Dave O

I do not want to interact directly with company. I have not received my check. I know from receipt they misspelled my last name in their computer system- They spelled my last name as "[redacted]," whereas it's actually "[redacted]." That could be why I never received check in the mail.  Will you inquire? They should stop payment on original check and re-issue check. Thank you, Mary

Very sorry for any confusion. This is the information provided to me by our webstore manager:     This customer ordered a set of size 41 Japanthers that were too small, he sent them back to be exchanged for a 42. The first set of 42 were returned because we sent them via USPS and they...

were returned because there is no USPS delivery in his area. We sent out a second set of size 42 boots via UPS while we are waiting for the 1st set of 42's to be returned to us via USPS. This shipment will arrive tomorrow, the UPS tracking number for those boots is [redacted]. He should have received emails with tracking information at [redacted], but they may have gone into spam or something like that. Either way, the boots will be delivered tomorrow, 9/20. Let me know if I can do anything at all to help here. Thank you!Geoff Larson | Web Store ManagerDirect: ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with Dave O 17 days after I initially brought my bike to his shop. Had the offer been made at that time, or within a reasonable time I would have accepted it. Prior to that offer, the only offer was to sell me a new bike for a 30% discount. I had already taken my bike to a different shop for an estimate on repairs. As I expected, the repairs will be approximately $600. Dave indicated that his offer was good only if Eriks did the work. After talking with him, I elected to have the second shop do the work. I still believe that Eriks should bear part of the financial burden of this repair. Their offer had a value of approximately $450. I would accept that.

As I made clear to Mr. O[redacted], our offer was strictly an effort to provide some resolution to his issue as a customer service, not due to fault or warranty.  We will not compensate Mr. O[redacted] for work he is choosing to have completed at another business. Ultimately, the responsibility for this damage was the rider, not the service work from Erik's or product quality from the  manufacturer, Specialized.
