Diversicare of Smyrna

My father was admitted to Diversicare of Smyrna for rehabHe has dementia, and they were supposed to work with him to get him prepared for a memory care facilityThey called my sister, saying that my dad had been combativeMy sister told them that she would go to the place to see about our dadInstead of going later, as she had told them, she went earlierImagine her surprise to find our father ON A MATTRESS ON THE FLOOR!!! They claimed that they were afraid rhat he'd fall out of the bed and hurt himself if he became combativeThis is HORRIBLE and UNACCEPTABLE!!! Neither the hospital *** *** nor the assisted living place where had been staying EVER said he did anything like Diversicare saidMy sister took our father back to *** *** where they are going to reevaluate himThey were all happy to see him!!!
Pleaae stay clear of this placeHow dare they treat my father like this? No elderly person is safe there, in my opinion!!!
