Diversified Builder Supply, Inc. Reviews (4)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Diversified did send out one man on 5/16/14 who easily removed the existing stones from all 9 pilasters and replaced them with new stone applied with adhesive added to the mortar.  In regards to Diversified's response to Revdex.com, they failed to mention that the original installation of stones should have been applied with adhesive added to the mortar, rather than their statement that the columns shifted. The time of warranty in years was not given to us at the original installation, nor have we received any such warranty in years at the present installation.

As to our complaint filing, we felt the first contact should be with Diversified.  When we received no response from them after numerous tries, we felt we should contact Revdex.com.  If that failed, our next contact would have been with the Registrar of Contractors.  We have their complaint forms and would have sent them if necessary.   We thank Revdex.com for their help in this matter.

Regarding the [redacted] Residence.  The installation on the stone rear columns is 4 1/2 years old and is out of warranty by over 2 years.  Mr. [redacted] has called our service department and asked us to replace a few stones that had fallen off.  When our crew showed up to fix the...

stone and noticed that all of the stone on the rear columns was coming loose (the stone is still stuck together just not to fence).  Movement by the fence columns is the most likely reason that this has occurred.  This is not a warranty issue or an issue with the original installation.  This is also not the correct forum for Mr. [redacted] to be filing a compliant.  He showed have contacted the Registrar of Contractors.  That being said we will contact Mr. [redacted] this week and schedule a crew in to remove and replace the stone veneer on the rear columns.  Our service department will follow up.

Review: Four years ago Diversified Builder Supply, Inc. installed stone veneer on our nine backyard pilasters. The veneer has now separated from the stucco finish on at least two of the pilasters. We have also seen cracks on other pilasters leading us to believe these veneers will also separate from the stucco. Two months ago I called Diversified regarding this problem and left a message via voice mail. No one called me back. In the meantime, I have made seven other calls, all of which have gone to voice mail and have not been returned., five to [redacted], one to [redacted], one to [redacted]. Diversified never sent anyone to my house to see about my complaint. One time I did speak to [redacted]; sight unseen, he said a crew would be out on a specific date to make the repairs. After my wife and I waited all day, we called Diversified, and were told by [redacted] that we were not on any work schedule for that day and no crew was working in our area. She was to talk to [redacted] about that and get back to me.

Within the past two weeks we received a call from [redacted] who was told to look into our claim. He sent a man out, again sight unseen, to make the repairs. This person told us that there had been no adhesive mixed in with the mortar during the original installation, and this was causing our problem. He also said the stone veneer on all the pilasters needed to be replaced to prevent further separation. As of this moment, I have not heard from Diversified as to what they intend to do about this situation. I have received no cooperation from Diversified, and have been left in the dark as to their intentions.Desired Settlement: Replace all stone veneer correctly on all nine pilasters at no cost to me because of their improper installation.
