I am rejecting this response because: DC does not assume responsibility for its mistakes and neglectThey mailed my documents to the IRS with an incorrect return address and without the proper signaturesThey continue to claim to be confused on these issues but their confusion isn't a valid response or resolutionMy claim that they emailed my information to the wrong email address originates from their receptionist, ***, who told me he mailed it to the wrong addressA typo in the writing of my email address resulted in it being sent to the incorrect recipientThis mistake was confirmed by ***To now claim that they are "confused" by these allegations is completely lazy and a pathetic attempt to deflect responsibilityAs far as claims I made about their poor customer service, missed appointments and consistent failure to respond to emails and keep phone appointments has still gone unaddressedI completely reject their response and find no assurance that they intend to change their practices and admit fault

As previously stated it's Diversified's policy to correct any mistake free of charge. In this case Diversified was unaware Mr. [redacted] was in need of a 2015 amendment of his federal return when it was brought to our attention we prepared the amendment free of charge. Upon completion completion of the original 1040 that was picked up and signed for all original documents were surrendered to Mr. [redacted] as we do with every checkout appointment. Regarding the email and address issue we are confused as we are in communication with Mr. [redacted] through one email address which he last sent us correspondence 6/8/16. The address used on the 1040x was provided by Mr. [redacted] and the IRS will always forward mail to your new address if a change in address was made at the post office so we are also confused by this accusation.

Review: AS a tax Preparing and CPA firm, a fiduciary responsibility is accepted for public trust. I called to obtain federal tax reporting documents from tax preparation, like 1099'2, w-2' etc. They shredded or disposed of our personal documents without offical notice or care to send to me in protection of our identities and fiduciary care.Desired Settlement: I want my personal documents returned to me.
