Diversified Roofing Corporation is deeply sorry for any inconveniences we have caused this customer and are extremely grateful that the Revdex.com gives us an opportunity to respond to complaints and provide the facts as to what actually happened.  Collecting 50% down for work is commonly practiced...

among construction trades to assure they have payment in order to purchase materials.  According to bank records this customer’s credit card was charged 50% down, per the contract, not the 100% alleged by the complainant.  In order to facilitate scheduling, an actual date cannot be given until the deposit is received.  The customer gave the DRC salesman her credit card number and the 50% deposit was charged to her card on 11/4/2013.  The contract was signed by the customer on 11/12/2013.  On 11/20/2013 the customer called to complain about her card being charged the 50% down so the charge was reversed the same day and DRC accounting was instructed to charge it the day that the work was scheduled for.  The schedule to perform the work was interrupted by the rain that was received in the later weeks of November.  The complainant states “The roofer were to be here on 12/1/2013 but did not show up to do the work until the week prior to Thanksgiving” which does not make sense and is not correct.  The workers showed up to do the work on 12/5/2013.  The workers performed the work according to the contract.  The work was inspected, some additional work was performed and after completion and with the customer’s approval the credit card was charged the full amount for the work on 12/13/2013.  In the complaint details the complainant states that she was told by her AC Company that the work on the flashing was not done.  After the job was completed the DRC superintendent walked the job and went over the contract with the complainant showing her everything that was done including the sealing of all penetrations and flashing on the back side of the AC.  After DRC learned that the customer was not happy, she was called by one of the owners at Diversified Roofing on 12/19/2013 who tried to resolve the matter by sending a representative out the same day to resolve any issues but the only thing that would satisfy the complainant was the refund of all of her money.  On 12/23/2013 DRC also offered a $250 refund to resolve the problem which was also rejected.

Thank You for the opportunity to present the facts correctly.

Diversified Roofing was asked to repair a leak for $750.  We have attached the before and after photos of the leak repair and the cracked mud ball repair.  DRC removed the existing underlayment and used a high quality underlayment to repair the leaking area.  In...

addition to the leak repair, DRC also repaired a couple of mudballs that were cracked.  Although Black tar is used in roofing and is an acceptable sealant in certain areas of the roof you can see by the photos that a minimal amount of tar was used.

Now they admit they used TAR on my roof, when they came out to inspect the work that their workers did I was told that they never did use TAR. At least now they admit they used the TAR, and because they used the TAR it appeared that the job was done by a couple of [redacted]. And when my roof was inspected prior to the sale of my house I had to reduce the price on my house because of the sub-standard job they did.

I want a refund period.

Thank You

I have met with [redacted] and we are ready to fix whatever needs to be fixed.  I am waiting for [redacted]'s inspector to meet with me and show me what needs to be done because there is some discrepancy on how much needs to be fixed.

We have decided to void the bill for $200.

I do not agree with the response provided. I was informed of the %50 down but was told by Mr [redacted] when he first came that the were scheduling within 2 weeks and my card was charged for the 1/2. This was done prior to a contract or work date. Needless after numerous calls to Mr [redacted] and the office a contract was at my door and I signed promptly. Then had again call Mr [redacted] numerous times leaving him messages about when the work was done. Regardless of what DVR says there was no work done to the AC unit but was charged for it and there is no breakdown of costs. Filing complaint with ROC to ensure no one else is ripped off. Still unhappy with their service and will spend way more than the $ 250 offered to make sure roof is done correctly.

Diversified Roofing Corporation stands by its customer service policies and procedures.  Although the inspection fee charged to Mr. [redacted] was valid, we have, in good faith, voided the invoice and written the

charge off of Mr. Shah’s account.  We provided Mr. [redacted] a letter...

stating such, as requested by him on October 13, 2014.

Diversified Roofing stands behind our work.  The original leak was repaired and it was repaired to current roofing standards.

There was a miscommunication between the business and the homeowner and everything has been resolved to the customers satisfaction.

The Consumer and DRC have come to an agreement to settle this dispute.

Review: Based on this company's involvement with [redacted] home (who I bought my house from) I requested this company to come inspect my roof leak and provide me estimate for repair. Company sent their rep who looked at the roof and provided me no estimate and refuse to provide me an estimate and/or inspection report why and how the roof is leaking. Few weeks later I saw an invoice from this company for $200 for inspection. I told the company that you did not provide me estimate nor you gave me your report why roof is leaking so, why should I pay your $200 invoice. What did I get for your $200 service and they had no answer for that. So, few weeks later they sent it to their collection agency for un-paid invoice. I think it is truly un-fair for them to come inspect my roof and refuse to provide written estimate about what needs to be fixed and at what cost and on top of that send me $200 bill for their service. I think is a scam and these type of roofers need to be banned from practicing in Arizona.Desired Settlement: Have this company pull their $200 invoice from collection agency.

Review: I contacted Diversified Roofing in Sept. 2013 for repairs to my roof that leaked from the AC vent. [redacted] contacted me and came out and took a look and advised that it could be repaired and a contract would be submitted and a date for repairs would be requested. Mr [redacted] asked me to write down my credit card # stating he did not have the equipment to run my card once the contact was prepared and signed by me. He advised that once scheduled my card would be billed for 1/2 the work and the rest upon completion of the work. Mr [redacted] never contacted me to schedule the work after repeated phone calls to him, I called the company numerous and advised them of the situation of never receiving a contract or a date to begin the work. I called my bank and found out that Mr [redacted] had run my mastercard and I was billed for the entire amount without a signed contract or a work date. I again call the office and advised them of the charge and that it was fraudulent to run the card w/o my permission or signed contract. They advised they would credit my card and get a message to Mr [redacted] to contact me. After several weeks Mr [redacted] left the contract at my door and again tired to reach him to pick it up and schedule the work as it was due to rain and I explained I just has new flooring installed and did not want it ruined. The contract was picked up by Mr [redacted] even though the office stated to me he was out of town for the week. The work was scheduled and the contract stated that the flashing around the air conditioner would be removed and repaired under it. The roofer were to be here on 12/1/2013 but did not show up to do the work until the week prior to Thanksgiving. A few days after the work was done a supervisor came out to inspect the work and advised me that there were several issues that needed to be fixed and would have them come back out to repair again. The roofers came out again and that work was never inspected. I recently had my AC unit checked and was advised that the work on the flashing was not done even though I was charged for it. Since I was never provided a breakdown of costs I do not know what was charged for each part of the work. Today it is raining and I can hear dripping on to my AC filter. I am so dissatisfied with the ethics of the company and do not trust that the work was done properly I will need to seek the services of a more reputable roofer to ensure I will not have any leaks. I contacted the office and they said they would have the owner call which he did and explained the whole mess up with his employees and that I was seeking reimbursement for the fraudulent running of my card and poor quality work as well as not honoring the contract. He refused and I advised him that I would be filing complaints and he told me he look forward to seeing me in court. I feel that I was taken advantage of being a female and if my man was dealing with them this would have been taken care of immediately. Diversified Roofing conducts their business in an unacceptable manner and takes of advantage of women. SHAME ON YOU, DIVERSIFIED ROOFING..Desired Settlement: From the beginning Diversified Roofing did not file protocol for the work and never ever should a payment be processed prior to a signed contract and date of work scheduled. I without a doubt I was taken advantage of just for being female and not schooled in roofing. I am however a retired Financial Crime Investigator and a Certified Fraud Examiner of 31 years and I do know the law regarding fraudulent schemes of which Diversified Roofing is guilty of. BAD BUSINESS!!!!!!

Review: Diversified Roofing was hired and paid to fix two roof leaks. With the last rain, one continues to leak. They came out and said a fan had to be removed and reinstalled in order to stop the leak. This was not stated in the proposal. They said they could fix it. If you can't fix it return the money.Desired Settlement: Diversified said they would fix two leaks for $1130. If you only did half the work, return half the money.

Review: I requested an estimate for a roof repair on a rental property. Verbal agreement on the phone was to have inspection of the roofing repair. I was told there was a base fee of $200 to include the first hour of labor and any additional tiles/repair cost would be added depending on the number of tiles required after the first hour. They came out to inspect the house, but unbeknownst to me, another company had repaired the roof the day prior. Now they are charging me $200 for a service fee to merely come out to the property. No work was performed, and no inspection or estimate was performed. There was no written agreement, and I didn't agree to this verbally. Now they are threatening to send me to collections. The other roofing companies provided free estimates.Desired Settlement: I am not obligated to pay $200 for a service I did not engage or agree to.

I had a girl from Diversified Roofing knock at my door today and I asked her if she saw our No Soliciting sign that was on the door. She said yes and to (her words) go [redacted] yourself [redacted]. Really? I get this type of harassment at my house? I didn't go out and seek them, they came to my house to insult me?
