We do see in our records that, as you indicated, we had numerous conversations with you and additional conversations with your real estate agent about your home sale and loan transfer.
Based on our records, when you initially informed us in March of 2017 of your intent to sell...

your home we asked that once you identified a buyer to have them contact us to initiate the loan assumption process.  On April 4th the buyer provided us with the loan application and on April 5th the borrower was approved for the loan.  We received the remaining required title information from the new borrower to complete the assumption on April 12th. The loan assumption agreement was sent out to all the parties on April 12th.  However, we failed to timely process the executed agreement.
We apologize for our delay. Your experience did not meet our standard of service for loan transfers. 
The Loan Assumption for your loan is approved. Our Customer Service team has sent the documents to you and the buyer for signature, emailed, and called you as of May 11, 2017 to explain the next steps. I looked at a lot of different solar companies and went with Dividend Solar based on a referral from my neighbor. The process was smooth and painless -- the solar system was installed in just a few weeks and my utility bill last month was only $15. Great company and great service.

Excellent company to work with. Applying for an EmpowerLoan was easy and the customer service team went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered. Dividend Solar is partnering with other Solar companies to help finance Solar systems. From my dealings with Dividend Solar, they are not competent. My system was installed and the Net Meter was activated by my local Power Company and Dividend Solar still had not "approved" my loan. I am suppose to be able to monitor the solar usage and production from the Locust meter through the Dividend Solar "EmPower Portal" yet after many phone calls and emails, promises to resolve these issues have not been kept by them and I am still unable to see any data from the meter. I would not recommend doing business with Dividend Solar.

It's not a good sign when a financial company can't do math properly. I bought my solar panels through a company ([redacted]) who contracted the financial portion to Dividend Solar. I was given a year of no interest or payments. A week before the deadline I went into Dividend’s system to pay the whole amount off, but could only make an additional payment to what was already going to be automatically taken out of my account. I got an email confirming the total amount was my total balance (so I know my math was correct). I was shocked when the payment date came and $15.38 remained on my account. I called and rep 1 said she'd get it all taken care of. The next day the amount withdrawn had corrected to the full balance. Whew! However, the next week I noticed the same $15.38 was taken out as a separate transaction in addition to the total balance! I called and rep 2 said he’d get it taken care of, but that it might take a few days to process and a few more to get deposited. (Hmm, they fixed taking money from my account the very next day, but it takes 4-7 business to refund money unrightfully taken…) After waiting 2 weeks I called and spoke to rep 3, who after a while confirmed that rep 2 never submitted anything. He said he’d research a decision for payback and call back that day. I called him back the next day. He didn’t call back because he “hadn’t heard back” on the decision, but just now had. He has approval to refund me and will “obviously” update me when it goes through. Right. Oh, and of course it will take several business days. I asked what more they could do for me since they screwed this up so royally, but “what more can we do?” I’ve had companies send gift card when they’re at fault, but he let that idea go right through one ear and out the other. I was so upset that I texted my [redacted] rep just to vent. I was called an hour later by someone at [redacted] to express apologies on behalf of Dividend Solar and tell me that she was calling Divident right then to speed up the refund. She called me back within an hour and told me they were sending the check that day. Now that’s customer service.
The only good thing about Dividend Solar in my opinion is that I don’t have to deal with payments any more (unless they take more money). Their interface is also way worse than many other companies my friends have gone with that have good phone apps and tracking capabilities.

We chose Dividend Solar to help us install our solar panels and are extremely happy with our choice. We had a bunch of questions during the installation this summer and were always able to get our questions answered when we called in. Very happy with our panels and with Dividend Solar. Highly recommend!
