Thank you Divine
My daughters have been working with Divine Management for over 6 years now. We would like to thank you for this opportunity. The girls have been working so much over the year and always get paid directly from the Casting Company. We never waited for money from Divine, it is us who must send 15% commission to them. I know that some people don't do it so Divine sends a reminder email almost every week. They didn't promise anything to us at the signing, they can't make you a Star if you are not a material for it. Thanks to Divine we got signed up with the biggest Agencies in NY. Their Collage found is growing constantly We would never do it thought you Barbara. Thank

In reference to the second letter I received from you. We are very disturbed that the complainant cannot comprehend the concept that agents and managers in the entertainment industry work solely on commissions. This is not our hobby, this is our livelihood. [redacted] assured us that they explained the way the  process works. We do not get paid by the production company, we get 15% commission off the gross from all that we secure jobs for. The production company sets the pay for all background workers as minimum wage. The government takes out taxes for both state and city, the manager/agent takes their commission and the balance is sent to the actor. The only greed involved is the grandparent who is trying to get back our commission, which again is the only money that we make. We cannot reach [redacted] since they went out of business and went bankrupt therefore we cannot validate the fact that they told her about the commission. We are considering having our attorney sue for slander, defamation of character and legal fees maligning our company and its practices. We do however take pity on this minor who is obviously being raised by an unscrupulous grandparent. We sent the two checks in good faith after deducting our 15% commission. The grandparent sent both checks back to us with a barely legible note. Please advise what our next step is. In closing we do feel sorry for the granddaughter,

Upon receipt of this letter we immediatley called [redacted]. she had paid us $100.00 lifetime fee, which included a promise of daily emails, castings, auditions, and bookings. The 100 dollars...

was the only money ever asked for or received. We offered her a refund of her !00 dollars which she refused. She claims her email stopped several months ago. She never notified us of this by phone, email, text, or written letter. There was no way we could have known she wasn't receiving our emails. Upon researching the situation we came up with the final conclusion. The server we use is Constant Contact, which we pay for so that all of our clients can receive emails with notifications. Upon checking her email address in our system we realized that she unsubscribed to this service. She must have clicked on the unsubscribe button herself. She has now given us a new email address and is now receiving her emails as promised. We have asked her if she is now satisfied or wants a refund of her 100 dollars which she has now refused.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]
No where in the statement from [redacted] did is state that Divine Management would take 15% of her pay Nor did [redacted] tell  me as her legal guaradian that Divine Mgmt would take her money.. We were under no con tract with Divine Management this was the first time ever coming in contact with this bnusiness.. Once the checks were mailed to Divine Mgmt from Sessions they could have asked Sessions for the address it was on the voucher, it took 4 months to receive the checks. So it is a blatant lie that the checks are sent out immediately. Why don't they tell the truth the checks are put in a three month CD so that they make more money off the children. This business makes their money off under age children.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

In regards to ID[redacted] Divine Talent Management, is a management company whose revenue is 15% of the gross payment for anyone who gets a job doing background work on our behalf. We are NOT paid by the production company, we work...

solely on commissions. Checks are sent to us by the production companies payroll company, which is "SESSIONS". The checks are issues to DIVINE MANAGEMENT and are then Stamped with our DIVINE MANAGEMENT stamp, deposited into our account to clear. When the checks are cleared, they are sent out once a week when the book keeper comes in to issue them to the client. All paperwork such as taxes, trust fund, and commission statement, are enclosed, as well as the check.

This procedure takes at least 1 month from the date of work. It takes about 2 weeks for us to receive the checks, then deposit the checks, wait 1 week for the checks to clear (these are out-of-state checks). The book keeper comes in once a week and issues the checks from Divine Managements account to the client. They are then mailed directly to clients address.

Frequently, we contact other talent developers when we have the need for more children or teens when we dont have enough in our talent pool databank. We have been working for the past 10 years with [redacted] Talent who in turn verbally asks their clients that fit the description we are looking for. If they are interested in working on this job. they are verbally told that there is a 15% commission (which is the normal management commission fee). If they agree, it is followed up by an e-mail from [redacted] Talent (see attachment) after agreeing again to [redacted] Talent, we are given the OK to secure the job. The client is instructed to send the check to Divine Management so we can process it, take out our 15%, and send the client the voucher with all of their tax, trust and commission information deducted (see attachment).

When [redacted] paperwork came in from "Sessions", we wrote the checks, put it all in the envelope with a stamp, and realized we didn't have her address and phone #. We immediately contacted [redacted] Talent to get her address, as we have for many years in the past when we didn't have a clients address, Upon contacting them, we learned for the first time they are BANKRUPT and OUT OF BUSINESS. WE ARE NOT AND HAVE NEVER BEEN IN ANYWAY AFFILIATED WITH [redacted] TALENT.

As expected, a relative of [redacted] contacted us stating she never received her check. The book keeper had a polite conversation with her explaining the delay, got her address from her and sent the checks that very same day. The address we received was [redacted]. The relative received the checks 5 days later and returned them to us via postal mail. We received them back on Sept. [redacted] (see attachment for envelope, checks, letter and vouchers) She apparently wants the commission back. This is inappropriate as she was made aware of her responsibilities.

The only truth in this situation is that she never signed an agreement to pay the 15%.

Thanking you in advance for your kind consideration

Please let us know if we have any future responsibilities towards this.

We are now in possession of these 2 checks and do not know what to do with them.

Review: My minor granddaughter worked as an extra on a movie [redacted] May/[redacted]/2014. The now defunct marketing agency [redacted] instructed that Divine Management should be listed to receive the check. My granddaughter worked all of those hours. I had never had any affilation with Divine Management before. We have waited 4 months to receive tha pay check that by the way was mailed to Divine Management on May **,2014. After filing a complaint with the New York State Labor Bureau checks were finaly sent . Divine Manegement had cashed the checks and deducted total of $ 78.40. This is robbery and a crime we never authorized Divine management to repersent us as a agency. If the actor does not put the agency's name on the pay voucher they stand a chance of not getting work. So Divine Management along with [redacted] ripped us off.

The movie's payroll dept sent copies of the forged checkedDesired Settlement: Pay my granddaughter all of her money ,repay the $78.40 that was stolen from her check.
