Divorce by Phone Reviews (1)

Review: I contacted Quick and Easy Divorce(listed on email as divorce by phone online in July. I spoke to three or four people their and asked several times if this was a legal divorce they assured me that it was. After they took the final payment via automatic draft for $719.00, I called in August to find out why I had not received the divorce packet. They informed me it was sent however; after I told them that I did not receive it and to please forward it to me from the original generated document in which they sent a email with a subject that say Resend forms. After the company took my $719.00 they did not disclose that I would basically be doing a "do it yourself divorce" that costs me $99.00 at the local office supply stores. I tried speaking with several people their and after they received my money, everyone was rude. On three different occasions, I had to resend for the document that they had be fill out by me because their were missing documents. They also offered a hundred dollar coupon and went in and took it out of my account. I have asked to speak with a manager concerning all the issues however the clerks and an older gentlemen told me that their was non available. On the date that I was due in court, I called them and let them know that I could proceed because the final divorce decree was not included in the packet. I was informed by a woman [redacted] at the office that she was sending it via email. I expressed the urgency of getting the paperwork so that I would not have to reset the divorce proceeding. I also informed them that the Judge had agreed to hear the case once I brought back the paperwork within the hour. It took them 45 minutes to send the paperwork as they said they had to create the document. When I took the form back to the judge the paperwork was still incorrect (the case was taped with the residing judge stating this). I emailed the company again, [redacted], never responded. While I was overlooking all the documents while waiting and I discovered a clause in their paperwork that states that I am not to tell the judge that I got the forms from off line but that I am doing a default divorce (don't have ex husband's address). From the beginning I asked if this was a legal divorce and was told yes. I was also informed that I would receive everything I needed which was misleading. I was sent a bunch of unfilled paperwork and most if it did not apply to my situation in which they took Texas Legal Forms that I could have pulled from the Texas law library.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my money refunded and if not a fifty percent refund including the $100.00 coupon that the went and debited my card for. I call a thousand times and was informed they were looking into the $100.00 refund and that still hasn't happened. I would like for the company to also release the information to consumers before they pay in full that the documents will all be black and we have to fill it out ourselves.
